Up for sale is an AMAZING and RARE Solar Yellow 2007 Lotus Exige S with ~22,500 miles.

The car is in great condition and has always been babied. The Solar Yellow is one of the most sought after and rarest colors (along with Krypton Green!) and this baby will not last at this price. The color is essentially the equivalent of Lamborghini's $12,000 triple layer pearl yellow!

This car came with the Touring Package (power windows, leather seats, etc.), traction control (crucial!), starshield (aka clearbra-- just as crucial!), and a few other cool bits.

The car also has an upgraded exhaust custom made by 2bular, considered the experts in Lotus Exhaust systems. We wanted to make sure the car looked exotic... but also looked OEM. This was the best design. Twin tips coming out over the upgraded 5 element diffuser! This is the euro-style exhaust and turns heads everywhere it goes.

It has a great, exotic bark to it when you are driving aggressively (people turn and take pictures!)... but it isn't obnoxious or overly loud. You can easily have a conversation on your cell phone!

Check out the pictures and imagine this bad boy in your garage or driving it to grab a bite to eat and having them park it right in front. It's phenomenal!

By far, the most reliable and fun exotic out there... Oh, and it's FASTER than most other exotics out there too! 3.8 seconds to 60 is pretty hard to beat!

Get the attention you deserve everywhere you go! And don't worry about crazy maintenance costs!

NOTE: Had a small crack in the back above the license plate (~1 inch) that was fixed by the #1 lotus body shop in the country! That is the "minor incident" on the carfax... Literally a crack about 1 inch long. Not even kidding!

Lotus could be sold to Chinese automaker Geely

Mon, Feb 20 2017

Two things are constant throughout the history of Lotus Cars: amazing vehicles, and financial struggles. Frequent changes in both ownership and leadership have left the company's future up in the air. And while the new management has improved quality and set a new product plan in place, its seems that Lotus could have a new parent company soon. Despite comments to the contrary, Chinese automaker Geely is rumored to be interested in acquiring Lotus Cars. The British automaker has been owned by Proton since 1996, but after Proton was sold to DRB-Hicom in 2012 investors suggested selling off Lotus. The Star Online reports that PSA in France is rumored to be looking at purchasing Proton cars from DRB-Hicom. In turn, Geely, the parent company of Volvo, is interested in purchasing Lotus from Proton. The report states that Geely has no interest in mass-market vehicles from Proton, while crossover-focus PSA, owner of Peugeot and Citroen, has no interest in a sports car manufacturer like Lotus. China has been encouraging its native automakers to purchase and acquire technology it lacks. Buying Lotus looks like it would benefit both companies. Lotus needs an influx of cash while Geely, looking to compete further on the global stage, would gain a great deal of technical and engineering knowledge from Lotus. Geely's stewardship of Volvo has been mostly hands-off, while giving the Swedish company enough money to invest in new platforms and technologies. If the same were to happen to Lotus, Colin Chapman's company could have its best years ahead of it. Lotus honors F1 efforts with limited-edition Exige LF1

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

Lotus has announced a new, special edition of its hardcore Exige for customers in the UK and Europe. Limited to just 81 units (for the Lotus Formula One team's 81 victories), the new Exige LF1 is the ultimate accessory for fans of the British manufacturer's Formula One efforts.
Befitting of a car inspired by the Lotus E22, this particular Exige is finished in the team's traditional black and gold colors, complete with red accents inspired by the F1 racer. The exterior is further enhanced with unique badges that proclaim the LF1's limited-edition status. Matte gold wheels have also been fitted, just like this Lotus' big brother.
This isn't purely a paint-and-stickers job, though. Lotus has also touched up the cabin, offering up black leather and "technical fabric," complete with gold contrast stitching and piping. The seat backs and floor mats feature embroidered logos, while an individually numbered, carbon-fiber plaque sits on the LF1's dash.

Lotus said to be planning new sedan, crossover [w/poll]

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Lotus has been in limbo in recent years. After former CEO Dany Bahar revealed his plans to build six new models, its parent company was sold, Bahar was sacked, his plans were canceled and a new CEO was hired in the form of former Peugeot chief Jean-Marc Gales. The industry has been waiting ever since to find out what Gales would do with the storied marque, and now we seem to have some indication.
Reports coming in from Malaysia indicate that Jean-Marc presented to the board of parent company Proton a plan for Lotus to build a new sedan and crossover. Though details are scarce, and may seem downright blasphemous for an automaker that built is reputation on lightweight sports cars, it would not be the first time that the House that Colin Built has toyed with either idea.
The company presented the APX crossover concept at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, and the Eterne sedan concept as part of Bahar's far-reaching plans at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The new plans may use these concepts as starting points or could go another direction entirely.
