This is not your average Ebay Esprit. Selling my beautiful 1994 Lotus Esprit S4, in stunning Monaco White with Tan leather interior, 42000 miles. Original paint, interior, clean, Autocheck and Carfax history.  Service records, books, and all tools are present. Original key with leather keyfob.I recently had the exhaust upgraded to a dual tip as on the later V8's and it just sounds amazing. I will try and get some videos and add them to the listing. Overall it appears to have always been garaged, the only wear is on the driver's seat (see photo) and there are a couple of scratches on the body with one touch up on the rear bumper.  Originally a Florida car and then to Ohio and Virginia and now in Georgia.

Car runs and drives very well, engine performs as it should, runs strong, clutch and transmission and gearbox are all fine and all synchros are fine as well. Transmission shifts through all the gears perfectly. Turbo provides a sudden burst of speed when it is engaged. It is faster than my Ferrari that I just bought to replace it.

Brakes are perfect, tires are 90% full tread, no leaks, no smoke, no strange engine noises. All dash gauges work, air conditioning works, windows work up and down with no problem, radio works, antenna goes up and down when radio comes on, all lights work, turn signals and stop lights etc.  Carpets are clean, car still smells new (well, it smells like leather!), non-smoker car. All glass is clean with no chips or cracks.

I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the country and back. This is a very reliable exotic that will give you 27 MPG and a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. Incredible performance to say the least. You can enter the exotic world for the price of a Toyota. This car is a serious looker and gets looks everywhere I take it. Feel free to call with any questions, I have owned 5 Esprits and I am a member of the Lotus club as well. (678) 230-7439. I have the clean title in my hands.

Please no offers, this is a steal for what you are getting, this car is fully serviced and needs absolutely nothing, not even an oil change.

No trades, I have enough cars, hence this one has to go. I still drive it daily if the weather allows me to so the miles will change from this listing.

I recommend the buyer to fly in and drive home, I am 25 minutes from the Savannah airport. I have sold many of my exotic cars on Ebay without any issues, so bid with confidence. If this car is not as described upon pick up, I will refund your deposit. I can also help arrange for transport worldwide.

Lotus suing former CEO Bahar over spending on homes, helicopters and watches

Mon, 03 Dec 2012

More details have come out about the legal suit and countersuit being contested between Lotus cars owner DRB-Hicom and former CEO of Lotus Dany Bahar. Bahar was brought in by Malaysian car company Proton in 2009 to turn Lotus around, and events during his tenure have made just about everyone wonder "What's going on?" That's not unusual - it can take a minute to figure things out when a new leader takes everything in a new direction - but in this case the clouds didn't clear quickly enough.
When the Malaysian government sold Proton to Malaysian auto supplier DRB-Hicom earlier this year, a forensic accounting team from Ernst & Young and The Rothschild Group started going over the books. Not long after, Bahar was suspended in June from his position and then fired. In his countersuit against DRB-Hicom, claims of lavish spending began to surface. Then the stories and leaks and rumors really began, the UK's Financial Mail reporting on more than one million pounds spent on private flights and home renovations, the New Zealand Herald talking about other executives sacked so that DRB could rearrange a 270-million-pound bank loan to Lotus, and rumors on forums about Bahar flying from his home in Norfolk to Hethel HQ and spending 30,000 pounds on motorsports books for his office.
In the latest Bloomberg report it is said that DRB-Hicom seeks 2.5 million pounds ($4 million US) from Bahar "for unauthorized expenses and overpaid salary and bonuses," including the purported expense of 3,000 pounds on watches for company managers. DRB-Hicom also says Bahar made damaging statements to the media, on top of breaching his contractual duties. Bahar's countersuit seeks $10.6 million from DRB-Hicom.

Lotus F1 confirms Grosjean, Maldonado for 2015

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

With the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix now just ten days away, the focus is beginning to shift to next year's Formula One World Championship, with more and more pieces to the puzzle falling into place. And the latest news comes from the Lotus team. The Enstone-based outfit has confirmed that it's keeping both its drivers right where they are for next season, with Romain Grosjean partnering Pastor Maldonado once again.
Swiss driver Grosjean, now 28 years old, made his grand prix debut with the team in 2009, returned as test driver in 2011 while winning the GP2 title, returned to the F1 grid in 2012 and has been driving for the team ever since. He's scored nine podium finishes to date, but has finished no better than his eighth place this season.
Venezuelan pilot Maldonado, 29, won the GP2 the year before his teammate, and moved up to F1 with Williams, for whom he drove for three seasons before switching to Lotus for this one. He shocked the field when he won the Spanish Grand Prix in 2012, but has only finished in the points once this season.

Recap: 2013 Australian Formula One Grand Prix is all about the rubber [w/spoilers]

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

A pre-season full of talking points was swapped for a brand-new set of talking points after the running of the opening grand prix of the 2013 Formula One season. The consistency of the regulations from last year to this year and the triplicate dominance of Infiniti Red Bull Racing meant that no one would have been that surprised if the relative order of things remained the same. But teams found so many ways to switch things up that, in typical pre-season fashion, no one was ready to make any bets on in-season performance, and a couple of surprising players suffered the ignominy of getting it really wrong: McLaren knew it was in trouble from the very first test, while Williams drivers applauded their car as the best in years, only to have Pastor Maldonado call it "undriveable" on the very first day of practice in Melbourne.
And then there were those Pirellis, the Italian company talking up the fact that its super soft tires would only go off so quickly that it would force teams to pit at least twice during the race.
Even then, no one could have seen the first round of pit stops beginning on Lap 5.
