2005 Lotus Elise Convertible, Beautiful Car - No Reserve Auction!!!! on 2040-cars
Phoenix, Arizona, United States
|
I'm selling my 2005 Lotus Elise. It is red with tan leather interior and a black soft top. It has power door locks and windows. This is a beautiful car that gets compliments everywhere I go, and it is extremely fast. But now that we have our third child, it just does not get driven enough to warrant me keeping it. Note that this Elise does have a restored title. I do not have much info on the accident as it was 2 owners ago. The only thing I was told is that it was hit on the driver's side clamshell, but it was professionally repaired and passed inspection to get the Restored Title. The car looks and drives great. I have had it for a year and a half with no issues. The only thing I had done was to replace an Oxygen sensor that went bad about a year ago. The car drives great, looks great, and runs great. There are a few small rock chips near the bottom of the front and rear fascia (from normal driving) so it's nothing that you would't see on any other 2005 Elise. They are not noticeable unless you are a few feet away from the car and trying to look for them. The rear tires have approximately 80% tread on them and the front tires have approximately 90% tread on them (see photos). Please do not bid unless you have cash or unless you already have financing in place. Since it is a restored title some credit unions will not provide financing, but most larger banks usually will... of course that is also dependent on your credit score. Since this is a Restored title it can be registered in any state (it is Salvaged titles that cannot be registered until the vehicle is repaired, passes inspection, and then is granted a Restored title). I require a $1,000 deposit within 48hrs of auction ending and full payment withing 7 days. I will help the best I can with any pickup/shipping arrangements that you want. I am located in the Southeast Phoenix area. If you are from out of town, I am willing to pick you up from Sky Harbor Airport. I can also help with setting up shipping if you decide to go that route. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions at all or would like additional pictures of anything. Thanks, Mike (602) 492-2778 |

Lotus rolls out new and improved Evora 400
Wed, Feb 18 2015Having canceled its overly ambitious plans, Lotus is going to have to get by on its existing lineup for a while longer. But if this is what "getting by" looks like, count us in. What you see here is the Lotus Evora 400, the latest evolution of Hethel's 2+2 sports car and the fastest, most powerful production model the legendary British automaker has ever offered. Lighter and more potent than previous versions of the Evora, the new 400 packs a revised 3.5-liter supercharged V6 with – you guessed it – 400 horsepower, or 55 more than the Evora S, and backed up by 302 pound-feet of torque. In pursuit of its founder Colin Chapman's enduring ethos of "adding lightness," Lotus has found nearly 50 pounds of excess weight to trim from an already lean machine. While they were at it, the engineers also tweaked the electronics, re-adjusted the suspension, fitted a revised aero kit for increased downforce, bolted in a new limited slip differential, retuned the gearbox and mounted new brakes. The styling has also been revised inside and out, with new doors allowing for easier ingress and egress as well as more interior space. The result of all these improvements – aside from making the Evora look cooler – is a 0-60 time now quoted at 4.1 seconds, a top speed quoted at 186 miles per hour and a lap time of the Lotus test track a full (and very impressive) six seconds faster than its predecessor. Lotus is increasing its workforce by 50 percent in order to increase output at its UK factory from 45 cars per week to 70 in the coming months, and will distribute the new Evora 400 through an expanding dealer network that's set to grow from 168 locations worldwide at present to around 200 by year's end. THE ALL NEW LOTUS EVORA 400 - All new supercar from Lotus - Fastest and most powerful production Lotus ever - Lighter and more efficient than before The new Lotus Evora 400 is the latest pure and focused supercar from Lotus, combining high performance with the legendary Lotus benchmark handling. It is faster and dynamically more capable than the previous Lotus Evora leading to greater agility and a more involving drive. Maximum speed is 186 mph (300 km/h) and acceleration 0-60 mph is just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds). This enables the new Lotus Evora 400 to lap the challenging test track at the Lotus Headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk, a scintillating SIX seconds faster than the previous model.
Lotus Type 132 electric SUV gets another teaser
Mon, Nov 8 2021Back in August, Lotus laid out its product plans for the next few years. One of the most significant ones, and soonest to launch, is the Type 132, an electric SUV. A muddy silhouette was all we got with the product announcement, but now we get an up-close look at the SUV. Unfortunately, this look is so close up that all we can see is the lower grille section. It's not a bad looking grille section, with divvied-up hexagonal openings. They even have active shutters that adjust for cooling or aerodynamics. But of course, there's not much else we can tell. The Type 132 is slated to launch next year, so we won't have long to wait. It's one of four electric Lotus models that will launch in the next few years, not including the Evija supercar. Leaked patent images show forthcoming Lotus SUV
Sun, Oct 29 2017Upon discovering leaked patent images of a Lotus SUV, the proper response is, "It's about time." Not because we've been insomniac with anticipation of a people-hauler from Hethel, but because we've had at least three years to prepare. Make that ten years if you start the clock from when Lotus blitzed the 2006 Paris Motor Show with the seven-seat APX concept in 2006. The APX first brandished the company's Versatile Vehicle Architecture (VVA). An evolution of that VVA - which can withstand a 3,520-pound curb weight - still supports the Evora. In 2015, when Malaysian carmaker Proton owned Lotus, Lotus CEO Mark Gales announced an SUV already in development that would be "the fastest and most agile" of its kind, and target the Porsche Macan. Now, with a new owner, better sales, and much bigger profits, we get a clearer view of what this slow-cooked, swoopy Lotus van might bring. The front clip, center roof channel, what look like bulging rear wheel arches, and the taillight treatment establish Lotus ties. The side view stands as notable for its rear window treatment and high-altitude fuel filler cap, both design elements echoing the 1974 Lotus Elite and foreshadowed by Gales two years ago. Tech rumors posit a Toyota-sourced four-cylinder engine and a 1,600-kilogram curb weight objective. That's 3,520 pounds in US speak, yet with a new car range in the works and more Geely-funded tools to choose from, the SUV won't use the aged Versatile Vehicle Architecture. If Lotus succeeds at the scales, the SUV would subtract roughly 1,000 pounds from a Porsche Macan. As Gales told Top Gear earlier this month, "[W]hat an Evora is to a 911 our SUV needs to be to a Cayenne." Intended for global export, Lotus plans to manufacture the SUV in China, and we're likely four years away from an on-sale date. Although we're promised the family offering will handle "like nothing else," it won't be a sports car, and only Lotus sports cars are welcome at Hethel. Related Video:
