Up For sale is my 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII Sport Coupe Diamond Anniversary Edition. This 96 Lincoln has 90,200 miles on it and looks great. It has all the bells and whistles. It has grey leather, power windows, power locks and power moon roof/sunroof, 10 disc cd changer, and even a cell phone in center counsel. It has key pad on the door under handle. It’s equipped with the 32 valve north star V8 engine and is quick and fast. I have some extras that go with this car such as an extra diamond anniversary window, fan shroud, oil filter, Lincoln metal sign and a set of rims but one is damaged. This car is stored inside under a car cover but I backed it out for lighting for the pictures. I would say for the year this car is an 8 out of 10. That’s all good but there are a few things I know are wrong and I want to be upfront with that. One of the security sensors is acting up because if you lock it and set the alarm, about 1 minute later the alarm goes off. The rpm cable must be broke also because if you hit the gas it goes backwards on the gauge but neither one of these effect the way it drives and rides. I just had the Ford dealer put a new radiator in it due to a small leak which I have a receipt for. It does have a few small door dings and small ding on the inside of the passenger rear wheel well and some small stone chips on bottom of rocker panel’s but none of it is very noticeable. I have tried to describe the good and bad to the best of my knowledge. I am selling it because this was my uncle’s car and I always wanted it but he loved it and didn’t want to sell it. Unfortunately he was killed in an auto accident 2 years ago and I bought it from the estate. Unfortunately now I don’t drive it as much as I thought and can’t really stand to see it sit because of memories. I also found out I had cancer this summer and I had my colon and rectum removed. I am a fairly young guy with 4 kids and I could really use the money otherwise I would probably keep it. I know these cars are bringing more then what I am starting at, in fact a local dealer sold one without a sunroof with ugly brown interior for $7995. Car must be picked up and paid in full within 2 weeks of auction end. Any question you can call me at (712)441-5237 if no answer leave a message and I will call you back.
Thanks for looking

Lincoln revival bypasses rear-wheel drive for now
Wed, Nov 25 2015Ford execs had the axe ready for Lincoln just a few years ago, but the luxury marque is on a hot streak these days. Annual sales are up 7.5 percent through October, and the recently unveiled, refreshed 2017 MKZ previews the company's improved styling. In a great piece about the brand's growth strategy, Automotive News finds the division's bosses want to focus on the core vehicles before taking a big step and building a rear-wheel drive niche model. "Luxury coupes and sports cars are not the first place we need to go," Global Lincoln Director Matt VanDyke said in the story. The division's bosses want to use the updated MKZ as an opportunity to distance Lincoln's identity from Ford, and the powertrain will carry the 3.0T badge rather than Ford's EcoBoost name as part of that approach. The model also injects excitement into the range thanks to an all-wheel drive version with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 400 horsepower and an optional Driver's Package with a torque-vectoring rear differential. Lincoln will launch at least three new models by 2020, too. One of those will be the production Continental that will reportedly debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The company will also allegedly revive the Aviator to fit below the Navigator. The third vehicle remains a mystery but likely isn't a compact. Automotive News' story further examines the previously languishing brand's work to climb up the luxury ranks in the US. It's well worth a read. Related Video:
Does Lincoln Zephyr trademark mean a return to real names?
Wed, May 25 2016Lincoln's long history includes many legendary names, and despite its short life, Zephyr retains a spot in that pantheon. Perhaps its will return once again: Ford Motor Co. applied to trademark Zephyr on May 11. Trademark filings can have ambiguous meanings, and often they're legal plays to get or keep the rights to a name. But in the last year, we've seen signs Lincoln is looking to use real names on its vehicles again. Obviously, it's keeping Navigator for its flagship sport-utility vehicle with a new model due next year. Reprising Continental for the MKS replacement was also well received. That said, Lincoln still uses the MKX and MKC "names" for its crossovers. Zephyr is a dustier moniker. It was used in the 1930s and '40s on a mid-level model spearheaded by Edsel Ford. The stylishly aerodynamic model was set between the Ford V8 De Luxe and more expensive Lincolns. It returned in 2006 as the Lincoln version of the Ford Fusion before that model was renamed MKZ. Mercury also used Zephyr on its version of the Ford Fairmont in the late 1970s and early '80s. Ford last held a trademark on the Zephyr name in 2013. The filing says Ford seeks to use Zephyr for "motor vehicles and parts and accessories therefor." That could mean a new car — or just parts. Putting the Zephyr badge back on the MKZ is the most likely bet. Meanwhile, Ford also moved to get the Thunderbird trademark on May 11 for the same vehicles and parts purpose, and it filed for the Mustang trademark for shampoo and lotions on May 4. A Lincoln spokesman said, "In the normal course of our business, we file trademarks for names," but had no further information. Related Video:
2019 Lincoln Continental will cost as much as $5,000 more
Fri, Sep 7 2018Rumors have been swirling for months about the fate of the slow-selling Lincoln Continental amid Ford's larger plans to pare cars from its lineup in favor of trucks and SUVs. But now comes word of official order guides that show the 2019 Continental priced as much as $4,925 more than the previous year's model. That price bump brings more perks for buyers, however. According to CarsDirect, all models will get adaptive cruise control and the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 suite of safety technology, which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system and rearview camera. The base level Continental Premiere will start at $47,140, including destination fee, which is $985 more than the 2018 model. The Reserve model is where the starting price jumps $4,925 to $60,705. It adds technology like a 360-degree camera, heads-up display and park assist, plus heated rear seats and steering wheel and windshield wiper de-icer. The top-of-the-line Black Label edition starts at $71,040, an increase of $4,630, and adds 30-way adjustable seats. Those prices are considerably cheaper than comparably equipped competitors like the Audi A8 or BMW 7 Series, of course, but that value proposition hasn't so far managed to help the sedan's fortunes. Lincoln sold 12,012 models of the Continental in 2017, according to CarSalesBase.com. Sales through August were 5,677, which is more than 29 percent off the pace at this same point last year. Lincoln revived the storied Continental nameplate back in 2015 to much fanfare, but its market release in 2016 was a victim of bad timing, coming amid a rising tide of crossovers. Earlier this year Lincoln reportedly showed dealers photos of a Continental with rear-hinged suicide doors that it said it planned to manufacture, which may be an attempt to drum up interest. Jalopnik, citing unnamed sources familiar with Ford's product plans, says the Continental is likely to be killed off at the end of the run of the current model in 2020. That aligns with what a user on the Blue Oval Forums is saying, that shift changes at the Flat Rock Assembly plant near Detroit are coming and that workers have been told the Continental can be phased out of production by next summer. One supposed possibility is Ford moving production to China, though any plans to import sedans to the U.S. from there would seemingly be negated by the same Trump administration tariffs that killed plans to import the Ford Focus Active.
