1966 Lincoln Convertible on 2040-cars
Perrinton, Michigan, United States
|
Up for consideration is my blue 1966 convertible. it has been driven very little in the the last couple decades.
I have owned this car since last summer. I am selling because I need to make room for my other cars. Details...... It has the 462 engine in it. it runs and drives and stops. Please do not assume that you can show up and drive across the country with it. It should be put on a flatbed and towed to where it needs to go. the engine should be gone over and inspected before driving it a good distance. it has factory air. I think it works but needs a recharge. the top is in good working order. will need new material soon. clock and radio work!! one thing that needs work yet are the windows. they are currently IN op. good tires new battery. the paint looks very original. I think it looks neat as survivor paint, but it could be redone it shows some wear and has a couple of small areas that have bubbles in the paint. this was from California then was in Virginia for about 20 years than Michigan. very nice solid car. Clear title. sold as is. no paypal !! cash or other means of payment till it clears. Best offer!! |

8 fastest depreciating cars in America

McConaughey's bizarre new Continental ad is perfect parody material
Tue, Dec 20 2016So let's say you're running a car company and have a luxurious new flagship sedan and need to advertise it. What do you do? Did you answer with "film a commercial with a barely coherent Hollywood actor standing in a pond?" If so, perhaps you work for Lincoln, which brought back Matthew McConaughey to do another bizarre car ad. It starts with McConaughey and a Continental standing on a body of water. He starts talking about staring (or not staring) at the Conti, and then about sitting in the back seat (or not). The ad then cuts to McConaughey in the back who replies to the McConaughey in the front seat. Presumably, there are two McConaugheys at this point, and the front seat one just laughs in a slightly unsettling manner. He then makes a clicking noise, closes the center console and drives away. You can't make this stuff up. It's thoroughly strange, but we can't say we're entirely surprised. When Lincoln first launched some bizarre ads with McConaughey muttering sweet nothings about the MKC, the company got loads of attention. Admittedly a lot of that attention was to make fun of it, but you know the old saying that there's no such thing as bad press. Lincoln even brought him back for an encore in ads for the MKX and MKZ. In truth, we're also glad to see another bizarre Lincoln ad, mostly because we're hoping for another round of great parodies like the classic Jim Carrey spoof that aired on Saturday Night Live. Check out the ad above to see the strangeness. Related Video:
Lincoln Continental prototype breaks down, requires a tow
Wed, Dec 2 2015Sometimes, cars break. Sometimes, said cars happen to be prototypes covered in camouflage. And sometimes, spy photographers are on hand to capture the sad sight. Such is the case here, as our trusty long-lenses have captured images of a stricken Lincoln Continental getting a tow back the shop. It's not clear what happened with the wounded Continental, but its unfortunate breakdown has given us a great look at the car's sprawling glass roof. Like the current MKZ, it looks like the Conti's panoramic roof can slide back, although we doubt it will cover up any element of the rear window, like its smaller sibling. And unlike our previous round of spy photos, this latest gallery gives us a look at a rather substantial set of integrated exhaust tips (i.e. fakes that have been fitted directly to the rear bumper cover). We can also spy a bit of the interior, although it's nowhere near as good as our last round of images. These shots do, however, show off a full roll cage and a fire extinguisher, but we wouldn't count on those being offered with the production model. Their presence here, though, leads us to believe that the car in question is probably some kind of vehicle dynamics tester. Look for a full introduction of the all-new Continental next month, when it debuts at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:
