This car is bad ass and turns some serious heads. It has a new battery, Fuel tank, brake lines, brake pads, wheel cylinders, light bulbs, wheel adapters and starter. Newer ball joints, shocks and all new steering components. It has 20" wheels with brand new tires (20 miles). Rear Gabriel Air shocks. I just repainted it in Valspar satin black and I am in the process of slowly assembling this back together. It had no rust on it. The motor runs perfect with its 462 Lincoln/Edsel motor that has 85k on it. This motor was made for 2 years and runs really good. Runs really smooth. I pulled the transmission out just to inspect it to find out it was already rebuilt. While it was out I replaced the front pump seals and front pump bushing as it had a small leak. No More leaks. Shifts nice and smooth. After 1966 the DOT required all cars to be equipped with a dual reservoir master brake cylinder so while going through the brakes I upgraded it to a new dual reservoir MC. It has new plugs, wires cap and rotor. All chrome is in great shape except two top trim pieces. I have not put them on yet. I may use 3m flexible chrome and let the new owner send it out for repair. I have all new clips to put in on when its repaired. The interior is in original conditions and in pretty good shape. It is kind of a goldish, green but I left it original for someone else to change if they want. I like the old look inside. Putting in a fully blue tooth run stereo system so I can leave the original radio in and keep everything wireless. It has all the components for the AC but it is not charged and the belt is off..............These cars are EXTREMELY expensive to restore and they were leaps and bounds ahead of all competition in the day with technology and when done nice they sell through classic car distributers from 25-30k. I wanted this to look cool instead of like an old man car but it is a matching numbers car for a collector who may want fully restore it.. I have about 15k into this car already. Come get it before my wife refuses to let me sell it.(Bet you never heard that before) This will be going to Street side classics and sold for a premium on the international market in the next two weeks. Please inquire if you are serious and test rides will be given to people with cash in hand. Clear NC title Will accept all reasonable offers.

It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
Watch 14 hot rides take over concept car lawn at Pebble Beach
Sun, Aug 16 2015The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is an annual celebration of the beautiful, old cars that grace Monterey Car Week. But Monterey – and Pebble – features lots of newer metal, too, and that includes the concept lawn at Pebble Beach. Now, "concept lawn" isn't a totally accurate name anymore, and you'll see why in the list below. This year especially, plenty of production cars can be found in the area once reserved for the conceptual. Still, we're happy to see them. Here's what's featured this year: Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Audi R8 BAC Mono Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R Buick Avenir Galpin-Fisker Rocket Speedster Hyundai HCD-16 Vision G Coupe Icona Volcano Infiniti Q60 Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 Maserati Ghibli McLaren 570S Rolls-Royce Wraith By our count, that's seven concepts out of fourteen cars. But it still makes for one hot group of metal. Check 'em out in the gallery above. Lincoln Star Concept provides a glimpse of four upcoming EVs
Thu, Apr 21 2022The auto industry is in the midst of what has been called a once-in-a-century transformation as it shifts to zero-emissions propulsion. As it happens, this year also marks Lincoln’s 100th anniversary. There were actually Lincolns a few years earlier, but Lincoln counts Feb. 4, 1922, when Henry Ford purchased the company, as its birthday. Like many, Lincoln wants to electrify its lineup, and plans to introduce four new battery-electric vehicles by 2026. Today it unveiled the car that will inform that future, the Lincoln Star Concept. “ItÂ’s a clean-sheet of paper to help us get through the next four products,” chief exterior designer Earl Lucas told Autoblog at a preview. But when asked whether it's a crossover, LincolnÂ’s representatives resist dropping it into any existing categories. Global Design Director Kemal Curic describes it as a “new species.” It lacks the upright, two-box design of crossovers and SUVs dotting AmericaÂ’s roads. Instead it has a dramatically raked A-pillar and an even more acutely angled rear. The greenhouse area tapers towards the rear, and the main body has a distinct anti-wedge silhouette. To these eyes, it has almost wagon-like proportions. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The other hallmark of the Star is its use of lighting. Illuminated surfaces can be found throughout the car — on logos where badges would normally reside, on a thin band that outlines the roof, and on fingernails that trace the wheel arches. ThereÂ’s also an unmissable light bar that spans the leading edge of the nose before curving up over the fenders and to the A pillars. ItÂ’s reminiscent of the chrome strips on the blade-like fenders of the 1961 Continental, but the designers we talked to denied that resemblance. The Star is decidedly anti-chrome, and lighting takes the place of that brightwork. Throughout our walkaround, designers used phrases that evoked a jet age view of transit. “ItÂ’s the journey, not the destination,” said Lucas. Curic uses the term “in flight” when talking about driving modes. Chief interior designer Robert Gelardi called it “the romance of travel.” ItÂ’s as if the Star was channeling a time when Lincolns like the Continental Mark II, once the most expensive domestic car ever sold, bore the American standard around the world and went toe-to-toe against the likes of Rolls-Royce.
