ANOTHER LOW MILE SURVIVOR

RARE DESIGNER EDITION

1979 LINCOLN MARK V GIVENCHY

HIGHLY DESIRABLE MODEL
55,000 original miles

Sold new to Joan G. Rollins of Charleston, West Virginia in 1979,
this beautiful car remained with Joan for 25 years until purchased by Owner #2
of Charleston in 2005. We purchased the car from Owner #2, completed a refresh,
and now it is ready for its next owner...

Sold a twin to this highly desirable car to Germany a couple months ago.
Here is another opportunity to own this rare car, only my third one in seven years...

The Designer Series Mark V's were Special Edition models starting in 1976.
Blass, Cartier, Pucci & Givenchy were the four designers and each edition was
unique in color and trim. This 1979 Givenchy is the only Lincoln with this special color
paint and leather interior, not repeated in any other Lincoln.

The Givenchy Edition also had special pinstriping, fabric seat inserts and the uniqueness
of a front half vinyl roof. Color coordinated turbine wheels were part of the package.
The Designer Series car as some of the most sought after Lincolns
of the 1970's and this is an excellent example.

This car has just received a brand new dual stage repaint in it's original rare color
of Crystal Blue Metallic, showing a Violet hue. The original Givenchy pinstripe is being added.
The Givenchy also has the unique half vinyl top and matching Dark Crystal Blue
leather interior. All original and in excellent condition.

I think 70's Lincolns are the best built cars of there era and undervalued
for their quality and styling... We sell more 70's Lincolns than anyone
in the world... and this car is ready for its new owner...

Now it will look great in your garage.

The car is equipped with the factory 400 cubic inch
engine, 2BBL carb and automatic transmission.

Ice cold factory air conditioning

Factory color matching turbine wheels and new whitewall radial tires

Garage kept, pampered and serviced, this car could not be nicer.

This car has been refreshed, detailed and ready to drive or show.

Lincoln MKC crossover adopts the Continental's grille

Thu, Jun 15 2017

The last vestiges of the controversial split Lincoln grille are slowly being removed as the company revamps its lineup. It started with the MKZ and Continental, with the most recent rhinoplasty recipient being the Navigator. Now, based on spy shots, it looks like the MKC crossover will be the fourth to get the new corporate grille. Under the heavy vinyl coverings, we can clearly see the proud Continental-inspired grille. We can also see that it will feature the same chrome mesh with Lincoln badge-shaped openings found on other cars with the grille design. We can also assume that the headlights will receive a substantial refresh, but the lower bumper doesn't look particularly different. The rest of this prototype MKC looks the same as the existing model. The back is covered, which indicates that the taillights may be updated. We wouldn't expect a radically different look, since the MKC already has a full-width taillight treatment. We also noticed that the wheels appear to be inspired by the cool turbine wheels of the Navigator. Whatever the other changes are, we'll probably see them soon. This is clearly just a refresh, and so there's a good chance we'll see the production model revealed by the end of the year, or early next year at the latest. Related Video:

2022 Lincoln Aviator Review | American luxury in the best way

Fri, Aug 27 2021

In Lincoln's heyday, its cars were big, powerful and extravagant. They embodied the idea of American luxury in the best possible way. The 2022 Lincoln Aviator shows the brand has recaptured the essence of those good old days, while still pushing forward into the future with the latest tech offerings and an available plug-in hybrid powertrain that provides competitive all-electric range and a staggering amount of power. It's also a style leader, particularly inside, which was true of Lincoln's midcentury classics, but obviously missing for the better part of 30 years. Practically speaking, the Aviator is a fully competitive entry in the three-row luxury segment, capable to making a strong case for itself among (relative) lower-cost entries like the Acura MDX and Volvo XC90 as well as larger, upper-crust offerings like the Mercedes GLS and BMW X7. Its generous interior size and feature content has a lot to do with it, but so does the fact that Lincoln didn't mess around under the hood. Its base engine is more powerful than most of its competitors' engine upgrades, while that plug-in hybrid's 630 pound-feet of torque makes you wonder whether someone made a typo. They didn't. Basically, there's a lot to love about the Aviator, and crucially, a lot that makes sense. Interior & Technology  |  Passenger & Cargo Space  |  Performance & Fuel Economy What it's like to drive  |  Pricing & Features  |  Crash Ratings & Safety Features What's new for 2022? Changes are light for the 2022 Aviator. The Reserve trim picks up additional standard features: wireless charging, a head-up display and phone-as-key. There's also a new Monochromatic package that adds black wheels and replaces bright work with body-colored trim. It's very 2022. 2020 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring Black Label View 34 Photos What's the Aviator interior and in-car technology like? No other company's interiors look anything like the midcentury-inspired palace of cool you get in the Aviator. All versions are available with distinctive color schemes (including the base model shown below right in Sandstone), but the Black Label trim level stands out the most with its three available "themes" of "Chalet," "Flight" and "Destination" (below left) that get special colors and trim types. The quality of some plastics and the fit-and-finish aren't up to Mercedes or BMW levels, but everything looks so special that it covers whatever deficit exists.

Electric Lincoln Corsair-E coming in 2026, report says

Wed, Jan 20 2021

An electric Lincoln Corsair is on the way, Automotive News reports. It’s currently scheduled to arrive in 2026 and will be built at the Oakville, Ontario, assembly plant. Automotive NewsÂ’ source for this information is AutoForecast Solutions LLC, an automotive global forecasting company. “At this point, weÂ’re not sure if it will completely replace the Corsair or if there will be an equivalent gas-powered Corsair. But they would be on two different platforms,” Sam Fiorani, vice-president of AutoForecast Solutions, told Automotive News. The vehicle is currently going by the name of Corsair-E. ItÂ’s no surprise to see that it would require a new platform to build. The Corsair is currently riding on the Ford EscapeÂ’s platform, and the highest level of electrification seen there is a plug-in hybrid variant. This electric Corsair will be one of many EVs/electrified vehicles being manufactured at the Oakville plant in the coming years. It was announced late last year that Ford would build five new electrified models there this decade, with the first scheduled to roll off the assembly line in 2025 and the last in 2028. This could mean full EVs or hybrids, but the split is unknown so far. Ford still isnÂ’t talking about its specific plans with this Canadian plant. Automotive News received the standard, Ford “does not comment on future products” response when it queried the Blue Oval. In the meantime, anyone wanting their electrified Lincoln Corsair fix can find it in the Corsair Grand Touring PHEV going on sale soon.  Related video:
