1996 Lincoln Mark Viii Lsc Sedan 2-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Shepherdsville, Kentucky, United States
this is a really nice Lincoln that Ive totally redone,I bought it from a guy I use to work with, it had a locked up engine in it and the paint clearcoat was peeling really bad like they all did. I bought a low mileage engine from a salvage yard that had 72000 miles on it and when I bought the car it had 100000 on it so the engine now has around 89000 on it since its been put in. This is a really nice car it has many new parts in cluding a new paint job around a year old, looks really good just has few rock chips from every day use and a newly rebuilt transmission still under warranty. Ive went totally through this car it has a new suspension, upgraded from air ride, new ball joints, new rack, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, wheel bearings front and rear, new rotors, calipers, brakes and hardware, new brake lines front and rear, and new shocks in the rear. This car runs and drives like a dream, it has a new radiator, heater hoses, starter, battery, alternator, plug wires, plugs, belt and water pump, cold air with new O-rings through out the system and also has a new wind shield. The intierior is really nice no rips in seats, has a few cig burns in carpet and one in rear of head liner, I know it was owned by a smoker :(. The moon roof comes back with a little help, needs a little lube I think and the antenna wont go up and down without a little help :(. Trunk is like new, and the engine compartment is very clean and nice. The paint job is not show quality but is really nice, around a year old and has some really good clearcoat on it and has a very slick shiney finish not like the factory and will last a life time of slug and salt, I rate the overall paint job an 8 out of 10. It has new Giovanni 17x7.5 wheels with Velozza ZXV 215/55ZR17 tires with 85% tread on them that came from Big O tires. It also has a new Alpine CD player that really makes those JBL speakers sound excellent. The center tail light has a couple small cracks in it that are barley noticeable, happened during paint job :(

Updated Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator caught in new spy photos
Mon, Oct 26 2020Face-lifted Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator prototypes were spotted in the wild Monday wearing fairly extensive camouflage disguising updated bodywork for the 2022 model year. Ford's two body-on-frame offerings (BOFferings? Nope. Pretend that didn't happen.) are both due for a nip and tuck, and with GM's fresh slate of full-sizers now available, the timing couldn't be more perfect. There's not much we can discern from this Navigator prototype. The camo does a good job of masking whatever Lincoln has in store for the nose, but the tailgate has some discernible updates, including a significantly more pronounced recess for the license plate that also appears to be mounted higher on the hatch. This would likely indicate that the rear lighting scheme is getting an overhaul, as there doesn't appear to be enough room between the lower edge of the glass and the plate for the current scheme to be preserved. The Expedition, on the other hand, has quite a bit going on. For starters, this prototype is not sporting the chrome-and-polish look we've come to associate with these often-blingy SUVs. Instead, we see a set of Goodyear Wrangler all-terrains on what appear to be 18" wheels, which are positively dwarfed by the turbine-style wheels on the Lincolns. Leaning even harder into the off-road theme, this prototype is not wearing the scalloped front air dam seen on other Expeditions. While it may have been removed for testing purposes, its absence (or replacement) would certainly do wonders for the big SUV's approach angle. Elsewhere, we can see what appear to be a new set of tail lights, and it would be safe to assume based on the camo that we'll see new front and rear bumper treatments. We can also see a bit of the Expedition's interior, and there are quite a few things to note on this front. For starters, the prominent, vertically oriented infotainment screen takes after the Mustang Mach-E's unit. This is significant not only on spec, but also because it signals that the Expedition's interior will be departing more significantly from that of the F-150. Related Video:
2016 Lincoln MKX packs plenty of power, MKC-inspired looks
Tue, Jan 13 2015Following on the heels of Ford's unveiling of its new Edge a few months back, Lincoln officially introduced the new MKX counterpart on Tuesday at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Unlike its Ford counterpart, the MKX does away with any notion of a four-cylinder, opting for the buyer's choice of a pair of V6 engines. At its base is FoMoCo's familiar 3.7-liter V6, generating a projected 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, although the real exciting powertrain news focuses on Lincoln's optional engine. Like the Edge, the top-end engine is a 2.7-liter, EcoBoost V6 that promises "more than" 330 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. We'd love to tell you about the performance impact this new engine has on the MKX, but as Lincoln probably hasn't published a 0-60 time since 1967, that simply isn't possible. Suffice it to say, we expect the most potent engine should offer pretty brisk acceleration. Aside from the power increase provided by the MKX's new engine lineup, Lincoln has thoroughly refitted the crossover's exterior, using its handsome MKC kid brother as its inspiration. It's a good look, to be honest, allowing the new CUV to maintain its styling edge over its Blue Ovaled platform mate. Lincoln Continental sent 'into the vault' ... again
Wed, Jul 1 2020Ford confirmed today that the Lincoln Continental will be discontinued for North America after the 2020 model year. The news certainly isn't surprising given the Continental's meager sales figures, lukewarm critical reception and the fact that the Navigator has resoundingly entrenched itself as the brand's true modern flagship. "The name will go back into the vault," Lincoln spokesperson Angie Kozleski told the Detroit Free Press. "It has a long and rich history. But production for this vehicle will be ending at the end of this year." In an official statement, the brand said the decision was due to the continued decline of full-size premium sedans in the United States. The Continental is built in Flat Rock, Mich., and dates back to 2017 when Lincoln resurrected the nameplate after a 15-year hiatus. The car itself technically replaced the unloved MKS in Lincoln's lineup, and although based on a well-received concept car, the actual production model failed to live up to the rather grand style statement that had been promised. The interior in particular was a letdown. Lincoln sold 6,586 Continentals in 2019; likely many of those were fleet sales. Nevertheless, it can be argued that this Continental triggered Lincoln's rebirth. It was named something, for starters, as the Nautilus, Aviator and Corsair would eventually follow, signaling the end to the unloved and confusing MK nomenclature. And although it didn't live up to its concept, Lincoln at least learned from the episode and didn't repeat the mistake with Navigator or Aviator. They came as promised. Though it's dead in the U.S., the Continental will live on for 2021 in China, where its sales are in decline but not by as much. And although it'll likely be remembered as a footnote in the long history of cars named Lincoln Continental, and with few fans in its corner, at least it reaches the end of the line having left a mark.
