1979 Lincoln Mark V
Has been in family since new. Purchased at Hickory Ford in North Carolina and has been in North Carolina its whole life (indoors). This veh. is all original and has correct original miles of 16k! It is fairly common to find similar Mark V's with low miles but not quite this low, it is even more rare to find one with proof of mileage. I have all documentation including several North Carolina State Inspections showing date/mileage of each inspection throughout the years since new. This veh has even been used in a major record label music video that was voted #9 video of the year for 2013 and hit #23 on top 100 Billboard Charts. Car is not only in great shape and all original but also runs very well. Tires were original and dryrotted so I put brand new tires on veh and I still have originals if wanted. DOCUMENTATION Bill of sale Window Sticker Original Owners Manual Warranty Book Warranty Card/Plate Several Service records Several North Carolina State Inspections 3 sets of original keys with original Ford/Lincoln key chains from dealer Car even has a newspaper that has remained in trunk of veh with Carter on front from 1980 in great shape. 2017 Lincoln Continental garnering strong interest
Sun, Apr 3 2016According to Automotive News, Lincoln has a list of about 40,000 people who have expressed interest in the brand's upcoming Continental sedan. While that may sound paltry next to the 250,000 people or so who have so far put deposits down for a Tesla Model 3, it's great news for Ford's luxury brand. "This is the most buzz I've seen in a long, long time," says Dan Marks, chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council. Lincoln is riding a wave of increased interest in 2016, having topped 100,000 sales last year. Prior to that, the last time that milestone was passed was way back in 2008. As is the case with most automakers, though, much of Lincoln's sales boost can be traced back to strong demand for crossovers like the MKX and SUVs like the Navigator. That makes 2017 an interesting time for Lincoln to be relaunching the Continental sedan. We can expect to see lots of marketing leading to its launch. "Extensive prelaunch activities" are planned, Matt VanDyke, director of global Lincoln, told Automotive News. We'll have to wait a little while longer before we know whether all that pent-up interest leads to actual sales. Or, put another way, whether the 2017 Continental will be a mic drop moment or a big flop.

Conan O'Brien takes McConaughey's Lincoln ad to its logical conclusion
Thu, 11 Sep 2014We all had to see this coming. Conan O'Brien has released a parody of Matthew McConaughey's new ads for the 2015 Lincoln MKC and remixed them with lines from one of his most critically acclaimed recent roles.
The now much darker commercial probably isn't how Lincoln would prefer the MKC to be marketed, but really in a few of the actual ads, McConaughey already seems moments away from breaking into a full Rustin Cohle from True Detective impression. The cadence and tone of his voice are just so close to that character, especially in the one where he's talking to the bull standing in the middle of the road. It very nearly verges on parody anyway; Conan is just turning all of this up to 11.
It's a little surprising that the writers didn't dig a little deeper into the McConaughey oeuvre for the parody. Maybe McConaughey could have taken the MKC for a party at the Moon Tower from Dazed and Confused. In any case, it's worth a quick watch, so check it out.
