1969 Lincoln Mark Iii 67k Miles 2 Owner on 2040-cars

You're bidding on a 67,331 mile rock solid 1969 Lincoln Mark III. The vehicle is almost all original, including the paint and interior, and was stored in a heated and cool garage for the last 25 years. The vehicle was in the same small town it's whole life out in Western Kansas until I brought it home to the Kansas City area. I purchased it from the second owners, an elderly couple, who purchased it about 30 years ago from their friend who was the original owner. I have the original documents, registrations and owner's manuals. The title is clear and still in the second owner's name.
Before the previous owner was the retired American Family Insurance Agent in the small town and he wanted to make sure the car was running driving correctly, so he had the car taken to his repair shop of many years where they rebuilt the top half of the engine (heads, intake, carb and tune up). The day I picked the car up I drove it right out of his garage. The only thing I've done to the vehicle thus far was to replace the water pump on the day the pictures were taken and add a set of brand new wheels (Liquid Metal Renegade Polished 75 15x8s) and tires (BF Goodrich Radial T/A P225/60R15) to the vehicle. I have the original wheels and hubcaps which will go with the car. The car has original paint. To really shine the paint needs to buffed and or polished. Of course there's some small door dings and scratches. The interior is all original and almost near perfect! The seats, dash pad, headliner and everything else is original and in incredible condition. The body has almost NOOOOOO rust. The underside is in amazing rust free condition. There's on a small rust spot on the left rear quarter and NOOOOOO where else. The car is way cool to drive and gets a lot of looks. The only thing a buyer would plan on repairing is the original exhaust is leaking. I was going to put a set of dual turbo mufflers for a great sound. Sometimes the head light doors close and sometimes the stay open. I've never had a chance to look at them. My intentions was to license the car and drive it to work several days a weeks during the nice months of the year and maybe out at night once and in awhile, however plans have changed and I really don't have room inside my garage for the car long term. I refuse to park/store the vehicle outside, so I'll try to sell it once otherwise I'll rent a climate controlled storage unit. Anyone is welcome to come view the vehicle prior to the auction ending. If you have any questions please feel free email and or call me at 816.590.7660. Thank you, Chris |

Lincoln plans pilot subscription service for pre-owned vehicles
Fri, Mar 30 2018Lincoln's foray into the world of monthly subscriptions will follow the mold of Ford's Canvas program and launch a pilot service offering a range of pre-owned 2017 Lincoln vehicles in West Los Angeles and the San Francisco area. Lincoln first announced plans for a subscription service on the sidelines of the L.A. Auto Show. The luxury automaker says its new service will allow customers to have a vehicle "as if it were their own," with a monthly payment that covers a prescribed mileage package and includes comprehensive insurance, warranty, maintenance and roadside assistance. It'll be based on Ford's nearly year-old Canvas program, also offered in the Bay Area and West Los Angeles. It offers pre-owned Ford vehicles on a monthly subscription basis, including insurance, maintenance and warranty coverage. Terms for that program are one to 12 months, with an ability to swap cars at any time. While Lincoln didn't announced pricing or a start date for its own subscription program, Canvas' existing service starts at $400 a month, not including tax and depending on vehicle and other options, for pre-owned Ford vehicles. Ford in February said its Canvas fleet has more than 600 customers who've logged more than 3 million miles in the two markets. Lincoln joins a growing list of automakers including Volvo, Cadillac and Porsche who are offering monthly subscription services as an alternative to traditional ownership or leasing. The subscription service will also come with Lincoln's Pickup & Delivery program, in which a valet picks up a customer's vehicle for service at any location and provides them with a loaner Lincoln before returning their vehicle. Lincoln also reiterated its plans to expand its Lincoln Personal Driver service first piloted in San Diego and Miami to Dallas, saying it will soon be integrated into the Lincoln Way mobile app. The service, previously called Lincoln Chauffeur, allows customers to call on a screened personal driver who can also assist with errands while the customers attend to other matters. The luxury brand is emphasizing "warm, human and effortless" services as a way to differentiate itself from its competitors. Lincoln MKC crossover headed for Detroit
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Fresh off the launch of the stylish new MKZ sedan, the newly named Lincoln Motor Company is reportedly preparing for a lineup expansion. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, the first new product joining the Lincoln brand is a small crossover based on the Ford Escape said to be called the MKC. We saw this machine testing a few months ago, and while we were hoping the name might be reserved for a future two-door model or even the diminutive Concept C hatchback, it looks like the "C" will stand for compact crossover instead.
The report also says that this crossover will be making its debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, so we'll have to wait until then to see what the new model looks like. Unlike the MKX, which is based off the Ford Edge, we would expect there to be a lot more differentiation between the MKC and the Escape like Ford managed to do with the newest Fusion and MKZ.
In addition to the new MKC, the article states new MKS and Navigator designs are expected to debut by 2014.
