Up for auction and your consideration is a very rare and low mileage (103K) 2000 Lincoln LS V6 with a factory manual transmission. These cars were rare when they came out. Lincoln only made 2331 from 2000 – 2002. The manual transmission was dropped in 2003 when they freshened the model line.
The outside of this car is black and is in overall nice condition and shines well. It has some of the little nicks and light scratches you would expect in a 13 year old car. There is a place on the right rear where it looks like someone did some touch up. I expect it was to cover some of the sun burn commonly seen on top surfaces. The headlights are clean and clear. The factory 17” wheels are in good condition. There is some light curb rash on the edges. There is also a matching alloy as a spare. The spare still has the factory markings on it.
The inside is light gray leather and is in extremely nice condition. There’s no wear on any of the bolsters. The headliner is in excellent condition and the carpet is free of any stains. There are some small nicks on the outside edge of the driver's door panel.
This car has every option available on the v6 models. In fact, I’ve never found one with all of these options on it that wasn’t a V8. Some of the features and options on this car include driver’s side memory, dual front heated seats, autolamp, auto dimming inside mirror, steering wheel controls, home link, factory moonroof, rain sensing wipers, dual zone electronic climate control, Alpine audio system w/ 6 disc changer, side air bags, factory fog lights, factory 17” wheels with a matching spare wheel, and more.
The rain sensing wipers do not work. I’m not sure why and I never got the chance to really look in to it. The left rear window does not roll down. Also, the airbag light is on.
The engine is Ford/Lincoln’s reliable 3.0L DOHC V6. This engine really runs nicely. I’ve recently done some work to this engine. The coils on the passenger side have been replaced with OEM DG528 units. The ones on the driver’s side are also DG528 with one aftermarket. All of them fire well with no misfires. I had a vacuum leak on the car giving a lean run code. I finally found the leak at the PCV elbow under the lower intake. As a result, the PCV valve and PCV elbow are brand new OEM parts. While the intake was off, I went ahead and installed new Motorcraft spark plugs.
The transmission is what sets this car apart from the crowd. This car is equipped with a factory installed Getrag 221 5-speed manual transmission. The transmission shifts out very nicely. The clutch picks up under half way and engages smoothly.
The tires are all in excellent condition. All in all, this is really a fun car to drive. These cars have a 50/50 weight distribution and handle very nimbly. I have driven this car for the last 5,000 miles and have enjoyed every mile.
I have to sell this car "as is with no warranty".
High bidder is required to make contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
$500 deposit (cashier's check or money order) is required within 2 days of the end of the auction with the remaining balance due 4 days thereafter.
If the high bidder does not satisfy the balance in the alotted time period and does not make prior arrangements, the $500 deposit is non-refundable and I reserve the right, at that point, to offer the vehicle to the second highest bidder.
If I do not hear from the high bidder within 48 hours from the end of the auction, I reserve the right to offer/sell the car to the second highest bidder.
Zero feedback bidders are welcome, but please contact me prior to bidding. I reserve the right to cancel zero feedback bids that have not done this. Please keep this in mind if you are a "last minute" bidder.
This vehicle is listed for sale locally for $4500 (our buy it now). We reserve the right to end this auction early if the reserve has not been met and it sells locally. However, once the reserve is met on the Ebay auction we will pull it from the lot.
I have set the reserve at $3600. Please note that I will not end this auction early. Ending an auction early (with the exception of the circumstances listed above) is unfair to the other bidders.
We would be happy to pick up the winning bidder at the local airport (Greenville Spartanburg International Airport), the local train station, or the local Greyhound station.
I do not pad our prices with any "documentation" fees like so many other car dealers on Ebay do. Contrary to many dealers will say it really doesn't cost much to fill out a couple of papers. SC buyers will need to pay standard taxes (sales and property when applicable). I can also help out of state buyers get a South Carolina temporary/vehicle in transit tag ($20).
Finally, SHIPPING...we do not ship cars ourselves. However, we will be happy to work with your shipping company any way we can.

2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost
Tue, 13 Nov 2012A Bench-Warmer In Waiting
I hail from Cleveland, and that means I'm familiar with sports franchises that are always falling short of championships. The Indians, the Browns, the Cavs - they've all come close, but being a resident of C-Town means learning to appreciate the effort more than a reward that never seems to come. So I can appreciate the situation in which Lincoln finds itself today, one where the past is full of repeated attempts to be competitive, and looming on the future's horizon is the next hope on which everything hinges.
That next hope for Lincoln is not the car you see here, but rather the smaller, all-new 2013 MKZ sedan. Like LeBron James entering Gund Arena for the first time, the MKZ will enter dealerships this fall as the brand's chosen savior, markedly more stylish, advanced and desirable than anything offered by Lincoln in recent memory. And that would make this car, the 2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost, one of the other 20 guys whose names I can't remember who played alongside LeBron during his rookie season.

Farley says Lincoln learnings in China could influence brand in US
Tue, 14 May 2013Automotive News reports Lincoln is looking to Chinese luxury shoppers for customer service ideas. Those notions may eventually make their way back to the US in the form of new dealership training. Jim Farley, the executive vice president of global marketing for Ford, tells Automotive News, "In many ways, China will be a listening post for Lincoln in the United States. Soon China will be the largest luxury market in the world." Farley also said that in China, the Lincoln brand is currently where Lexus was when the Japanese brand first landed in the US.
Lincoln is slated to open its first Chinese dealerships in 2014. The brand is largely unknown in Asia, and Lincoln representatives have been visiting other luxury dealers in China for an idea of what buyers there expect. Lincoln has also studied non-automotive luxury shopping, paying special attention to high-end retail branding.
Of course, this whole song and dance feels awfully familiar. Lincoln has focused heavily on remaking the brand and recrafting its marketing here in the States, thus far without sufficient product to back the play. Lincoln is already late to the China game, and without the necessary products to lure buyers away from established bodies like Buick and Cadillac, Lincoln may be doomed to repeat its fate here in the US.
