2000 Lincoln LS 3.9L V8 engine, 5-speed automatic transmission, fully loaded, gray leather interior. NO RESERVE!!!

The warranty that is included with this sale, is a transferable warranty from Warranty Direct.  I currently pay $130/ month.  There are roughly 15 months left of payments.  The warranty includes, 4 years and 2 months coverage or 90,000 miles.  If there is a transfer fee, buyer is responsible for that should you choose to continue with the warranty.  Powertrain is covered, and major parts are covered.  Normal maintenance parts and consumables are not covered.  Really a great piece of mind to have.

The car is in great shape for its age.  Minor hail dings on the hood and a light scratch on each rear passenger door.  May buff out, but I'm no expert.  Behind the passenger headlamp has a little bit of paint missing from a run in with a deer.  Smashed the headlamp into the housing and rubbed the paint off. (pic) Not really noticeable that much.  Both headlamps have been replaced to match the clarity of the new headlamp replacement.  Engine is STRONG and has always been serviced on time or before and well taken care of.  Mobil1 Fully Synthetic Oil and filter every time.  Has K&N air filter, HID headlight kit and no other modifications.  Stock Lincoln.  Smooth transmission, shifts great, has sport mode, traction control on/off equipped.  Very fast car, great power for passing and highway on ramps.  Has the V8 engine from Jaguar, same as S-Type Jag and the new Ford T-Bird. No VVT.  Designed by Jaguar, built by Ford.  It'll put you in your seat with the mash of the gas.  Has been and still is very dependable.  A/C works great and cold, heater blows hot, works great as well.  Fog lights work, 25% tint on side windows, none on the rear glass.  Defrosters all work, windshield wiper defrosters equipped and work, auto dimming rear view mirror, auto rain sensing wipers.  Tires are all in good condition with plenty of tread left. (Pic)  Leather interior with a few signs of wear.  (Pic)  Back seat has a tear from child seat, (pic) heard that the leather patcher from auto parts store can fix that...    The dirt and stickers in the pix will be cleaned up.  Front passenger seat has scratches from buttons on pants, not too noticeable.  Dash and controls are all nice and working.  Has factory radio, tape player, 6-disc CD changer.  CD changer needs the cartridge, and the radio display works intermittently.  Been that way since I bought it.  I just found the stations I liked, set the presets or listened to CD's.
Average 25-30 mpg HWY.  I'm not kidding, I get 30 doing 60mph around the loop, 25+mpg doing 70-75mph on freeway.  Just under 160K miles.  (pic)  You will not disappointed with this car at this price.  I installed a new battery just 2 weeks ago, since not driving it much and the cold kinda drained it, plus it was due for replacement anyways.  I also installed a kill switch to prevent any battery power loss when I don't drive it.
I have a new car and no longer drive this one.  I'd love to keep it because its really been so good, fun and reliable and I find it worth more than $4k to me, but it is just sitting in the yard and needs a new home and owner to take care of it.  Plus, I can use the monthly insurance payments for something else.  Insurance is really affordable for this car too, fully insured.  I drive it a few miles each weekend to keep it happy and running good.  Sold as is, no warranty from me, but a transferable warranty as mentioned above from Warranty Direct.  Title is in hand.  I can deliver to you anywhere in the U.S. at $1/mile from me to you one way, not round trip.  $500 paypal deposit required within 24hrs of winning, plus any amount for mileage on delivery should you choose for me to drive it to you or meet you half way.

Good luck, please look at all the pix, and ask me any questions you may have.  It was windy and blowing leaves everywhere, my only time to take pictures.  Those will be removed and everything will all be cleaned inside and out by time of sale.  Thanks, Brent

Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.

2017 Lincoln Continental: Was this mic-drop moment just a big flop?

Thu, Jan 21 2016

The Lincoln Continental may have been our fifth-place pick for Best In Show at this year's Detroit Auto Show, but it's probably the one we argued about the most. In fact, we're still talking about it. And we'll no doubt be discussing it long after we finally get to drive the new sedan later this year. We do this with lots of cars, all the time. The Continental is an especially important, high-profile car right now. It has the task of being a torch-holder for the struggling-to-run Lincoln brand, and that's a tough job these days. But did Lincoln do right by its Continental name? Did its Detroit showcar stop us in our tracks, or were we left feeling cold? In an effort to show you our full discussion, we're trying something different. About a week after the Detroit Auto Show press days concluded, Autoblog's Jonathon Ramsey sent an email around to some editors about the Continental to open a discussion. It got heated, and fast. And while we considered summarizing it, we decided to instead post the whole, largely unedited (adjusted for typos and swear words) chain. From: Jonathon Ramsey To: Autoblog Team Does anyone else think it's a problem that the new Continental looks 85 percent like the MKZ? And another 10 percent of it looks like a Jaguar and a Bentley? Because I think Lincoln screwed the pooch. The German Three plus Porsche can make cars that look alike – they've earned the right, even if I'd rather they didn't. The MKZ looks like a car for regional sales reps. Lincoln broke the glass in case of emergency, grabbed the Continental name, then put it on a car that looks a lot like that sales-rep car, but one for regional VPs. Do we really think this can work? Because I don't. From: Steven Ewing To: Autoblog Team Personally, I'm pretty disappointed in the final execution of Continental. I'm glad Lincoln isn't obsessed with chasing the Germans, but at this point, it's not even chasing Cadillac. I think that introducing the new front end and TTV6 engine on the MKZ before the Continental was a huge mistake. And while I have high hopes for the Conti from a comfort/driving standpoint, my gut instinct is that it's going to be more "better than the MKS" than "best American luxury sedan." Introducing the new front end and TTV6 engine on the MKZ before the Continental was a huge mistake.

Ford recalls 200,000 vehicles for brake lights that won't turn off

Wed, Jan 19 2022

Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a new recall for nearly 200,000 vehicles because their brake lights may not turn off. Drivers of affected vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions may also be able to shift the vehicles out of Park even when their foot is off the brake. That increases the risk of a rollaway and could cause a crash. According to documentation posted on NHTSA's recall hub, a separated brake pedal bumper is to blame for the issue. The recall applies to "certain 2014-2015 Fusion, Lincoln MKZ and 2015 Mustang vehicles originally sold or ever registered, in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Hawaii." The safety regulator adds that "exposure to certain environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, high humidity and salt air can cause the brake pedal bumper to disintegrate and separate from the brake pedal." Owners of affected vehicles should expect notification of the recall in early March. They will be directed to the dealership of their choice to have their brake pedal bumpers and clutch pedal bumpers replaced free of charge. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
