Continuing...."1987 Lincoln Continental Excellent Running, Clean Cherry California Classic Fully Loaded.  Runs Excellent. Near Show Quality In & Out *. Extras!Only 75,000 Miles. California Garage-Kept mostly Indoors. Only 1 previous owner!  Original Vintage Glove Box Manuals, Vintage DMV Documents from 1987, and other extras. Base Model with original Givenchy logo on inside dash, I believe indicating such Choice Styling / Trim & Similar Color Options except for no Two-Tone Paint & No Branded Givenchy Logo on the Seats or Floor mats.

Although this is documented in some Car Histories as the Base Model it appears that in this 1987, last year of this styling, my car was offered with some extra styling options and a Givenchy logo on the inside dash indicating it has Givenchy Styling / Trim and Similar Color Options except for no Two Tone Paint and No Branded Givenchy Logo on the Seats or Floor mats.

In addition to running excellent it has  Near Mint / Near Show In & Out w Extras! No Tears, No Rips, Very Few Dings / Scratches (See Extensive pics) Good Anti-Lock Brakes although the light comes on and I don't know why, Good Air Ride Suspension with Curbside Adjustment Feature = sometimes the drivers front air shock takes a little longer to fill but rides good when filled, will eventually need to be looked at or replaced, the drivers air shock does slowly empty while driving longer distances or on roads with sharp curves, i was told it may be an easy electrical module fix, (or for your awareness, I was also told that some owners of this type of vehicle like to convert the shocks with a fairly easy and affordable conversion kit).  Some areas of attention: original valve covers are probably in need of a basic tightening or valve cover for preventing oil moisture around a bottom valve covers.

Other History When We Purchased This Continental Locally:

 - We bought it from original owners in about Summer 2012
 - Previous to us the Continental sat at owners / home garage for several years as owner became ill.
 - Vehicle was periodically turned on and warmed up during sitting time of approximately 6 years.
 - Once we purchased vehicle it had been taken out of the garage a few months prior.
 - Battery on Vehicle was weak and it was replaced.
 - Upon doing so all gauges and operational motor / drive train became operational
 - At that time before battery change the digital odometer displayed original miles once car was turned on of exactly 67,437.
 - After battery change the odometer read "ERROR" and displayed no mileage. (We immediately started documenting every mile that we have put on the car hence forth via internal mileage gauge and wrote it down on a register we keep in the glove compartment)
 - For a few weeks that is all it read "ERROR"
 - Then, spontaneously one day it reset itself at: "000000.0" and started accurate displayed mileage from that point until today...where it reads "6,240" miles
 - Additionally we started researching odometer repair options and found several solutions online that we documented but did not purchase or move forward on.
 - Such solutions included a new odometer module that could be replaced in the dash and such new module would read original mileage in the car's computer and display it properly.
 - Such odometer repair parts are reasonably priced and available third party online/ebay etc. and require minimal removal of front dash plastic panel and some electrical steps in order to repair.
 - This we leave to the buyer to handle and have not considered such repair as we are selling car.
 - Actual Verifiable Mileage Displayed on Car and our registered odometer notes by hand bring mileage to 78,403 to date.  Such copies of documents and dates are available for examination at any time by bidders/buyer.
 - Regarding Vehicle Vin History Reports containing odometer reports, our records should agree with them. Note: In 2012 upon registering and California Smog inspections, such documented mileage was reported and is documented at exactly 70,203 in such vin / vehicle histories as well. California dmv, though, is mileage exempt for reporting purposes for older cars. While we did not run our own extensive CarFax for odometer purposes, others may feel free to do so.

We did run a preliminary vin history with basic odometer report from a third party online report and such mileage does appear as stated as well as other facts that show the vehicle as clearing most of the major points one might be concerned about and we find nothing out of the ordinary to report via such history report. Our purchased basic report is available for review as an electronic document to whomever would want to review it.  An excerpt is below

2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship

Mon, Oct 30 2017

This is Lincoln's flagship. It's the most luxurious, comfortable and expensive vehicle the brand sells. It's quite obviously the biggest and heck, like every Lincoln flagship of yesteryear, it even features body-on-frame construction. Crucially, though, this all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator is also very good. It's distinctive, capable, and competent in ways that will stand up well in the upper echelon of the SUV hierarchy. And we'll get this out of the way now: it's far superior to its primary competitor, the Cadillac Escalade. And yet, the Navigator's flagship status is a comeback story. It wasn't too long ago that it was a black sheep confined to the distant back row of Lincoln family promotional photos along with the Town Car and a fichus added for decoration. It was never given one of the new-fangled MK names, and its V8-powered, truck-based status made it a thirsty dinosaur at a time of rising gas prices and an increasing number of crossovers. Livery services bought them in black-painted droves, but it was otherwise forgotten even as a substantive refresh for 2015 arguably made it a better, more practical bet than its Caddy nemesis. Like its predecessor, and indeed every Navigator since the second generation dawned for 2007, the third-generation 2018 model features an independent rear suspension rather than the live axle in GM's SUVs. First and foremost, this reaps benefits for those sitting in the third row. Full-sized adults enjoy an abundance of room back there on par (or perhaps even better) than a minivan. There's a USB port on each side, the seatbacks power recline and its three seat belts allow for an eight-passenger max. There's even enough room behind the raised third-row for creatively stacked suitcases. Compare this to a regular-wheelbase Escalade with its third row stuck to the sky-high floor; its occupants' knees jammed against the second row and/or stuck into their own chins. It's a wasteland back there, but to be fair, not much worse than an Infiniti QX80 or Lexus LX 570. Yes, the extended-wheelbase Escalade ESV helps, but there's still less space than the standard Navigator. In fact, the Navigator L model offers the exact same third-row – only the cargo area behind it expands. That rear suspension also pays dividends in the ride and handling department.

2015 Lincoln Navigator gets lots of updates, still not all-new [w/video]

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

If there's one brand that could really use some fresh, all-new product, it's Lincoln. The MKC crossover is on the way and looks promising, but the just-revealed 2015 model year update of its fullsize Navigator would appear to stop somewhere short of being "all-new." This, despite replacing a product that's been on the market since 2007. Oh sure, there's a brash new face, complete with the company's love or hate split-wing grille, and the revised rear-end treatment does look better to our eyes (if overly familiar). But in the era of the bold new all-aluminum Ford F-150, the Navigator is still based on the outgoing model's all-steel bones, so it's more of an extensive mid-cycle refresh than a completely new piece.
Unlike the F-150, there's no aluminum suit on this black-tie bruiser
That's a shame, really, because the class the Navigator is playing in features a host of really modern, stylish, luxurious crossovers and sport utilities like the Cadillac Escalade, Land Rover Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and more. Unlike the F-150, there's no aluminum suit on this black-tie bruiser, but that's not to say it isn't bringing some new tech to the table in 2015. Under the hood, for example, is Ford's well-received 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, putting out "at least" 370 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. That's a solid engine, and should be a whole lot more spunky and efficient than the archaic 5.4-liter Triton V8 currently being employed in the outgoing model.
