If you demand the best then I have something for your. From my Private Collection is a very rare find. This is a ONE of ONE in existence with these options 1978 Lincoln Continental Williamsburg Limited Edition! A Marti Report takes the options a vehicle has and compares them to all of the others to see how many of your particular vehicles are in existence. Often referred to as a one off car. The report is certified and it did cost about $250 to have this prepared. This is the only one in the world!! My Lincoln was judged at the Lincoln Continental Owners Club (LCOC) National show as a 95.86 point out of 100 show car and won first place. I was even lucky enough to get the judging sheets used to review the car and I will give them to the new owner. I have the factory window sticker showing that in 1978 this car was just about $14,000! Now for the history of this Lincoln. It was a Special Order Lincoln by Betty Arnovitz which included the Williamsburg Limited Edition package and even 4 wheel disk brakes. The second owner purchased the car from 83 year old Betty in 2009. The vehicle was purchased by MJC Classic Cars in Florida who only buys the best of the best Lincolns. My Uncle is a car collector from Pennsylvania that purchased this car from MJC Classic Cars for $11,500 in 2012. My Uncle traded the 1978 Lincoln in on a 1967 250SL Mercedes I had in 2013. He drove it up 300 miles from Pennsylvania to Victor, NY. Back to my Uncle. Upon delivery of the car my Uncle took the 78 Lincoln into a shop he uses and told them to freshen up everything on the car. His bill was just shy of $8,600 and replaced just about everything!! It's no wonder the car received 95.86 points in judging. He is very particular and spent many hours perfecting every detail in his power to make this car the best he could. You can see how I had to have it! The car is amazing in every way! The car floats! The air conditioning is freezing cold. You really feel like you are in 1978 when you are behind the wheel of this car. It smells just as new inside. The leather is factory fresh and spotless!! The paint is brilliant!! The Champaign Valino Coach vinyl top is soft! The motor is so clean and fresh!! Under the car is very clean! The pictures were taken June 17, 2014. The car is in my warehouse and will not move until the new buyer picks it up or has it shipped so it's in the exact same condition as the ad states. No moth ball smell, smoke, mold, must or filth stink. These carpets have never been wet to shampoo. The car should be in a museum. EVERYTHING operates properly! If I had to really get picky I would say that the rear drivers side window is not moving with the regulator that holds the glass as it should. The car has a rebuilt carburetor that may hesitate just a tad. The car is a limited use vehicle and is insured with Hagerty Antique and Classic insurance for a few hundred bucks a year with full coverage. At the end of the pictures it shows the Marti Report, Factory Window Sticker and the $8600 spent in April 2012 at 55,000 miles. No extra fees in my auction. Clean title in hand. This car is a steal!! photo DSC09227_zps0023ed52.jpg photo DSC09228_zps00a12206.jpg photo DSC09229_zpsf6d72d5c.jpg photo DSC09230_zpsc34166e1.jpg photo DSC09231_zpsd04f75af.jpg photo DSC09232_zpseb95092c.jpg photo DSC09233_zpscccbe7da.jpg photo DSC09234_zpsc7bae1a5.jpg photo DSC09235_zps3da1a452.jpg photo DSC09240_zpsce7bd820.jpg photo DSC09241_zpsf0230586.jpg photo DSC09242_zpse7ac4839.jpg photo DSC09243_zps86358e4c.jpg photo DSC09244_zpsac4972c8.jpg photo DSC09245_zpsc2fe8c3a.jpg photo DSC09246_zps2f7827b5.jpg photo DSC09247_zpsf85e49fd.jpg photo DSC09248_zpsce47e29d.jpg photo DSC09249_zpsd6069c77.jpg photo DSC09250_zps8ef09c71.jpg photo DSC09251_zpsdc1cd8a3.jpg photo DSC09252_zpsa8312bb8.jpg photo DSC09253_zps5770253d.jpg photo DSC09254_zps5b9e28f1.jpg photo DSC09255_zps034f56da.jpg photo DSC09256_zpsbd81a95d.jpg photo DSC09257_zpsfb198f3f.jpg photo DSC09258_zps5cd7de7b.jpg photo DSC09259_zps391cd8ac.jpg photo DSC09260_zps7b43ac7c.jpg photo DSC09261_zps56bf1755.jpg photo DSC09262_zpsab891dbf.jpg photo DSC09263_zpsfe054909.jpg photo DSC09264_zps84c37785.jpg photo DSC09265_zps11370db0.jpg photo DSC09266_zpsa067267c.jpg photo DSC09267_zps50cc16dd.jpg photo DSC09268_zps88815d53.jpg photo DSC09236_zpsb98e26e9.jpg photo DSC09237_zpsf6ef708f.jpg photo DSC09238_zps0da7dd52.jpg photo DSC09239_zpsc61b5c07.jpg photo DSC09269_zpsbdf5bccf.jpg photo DSC09270_zpse69d0849.jpg photo DSC09271_zps77618aae.jpg photo DSC09272_zps31041e6b.jpg photo DSC09273_zps0bd1b8f9.jpg photo DSC09274_zpscf2b2d3f.jpg photo DSC09275_zps43bd685f.jpg photo DSC09276_zpsec7e0300.jpg photo DSC09277_zpsc6a8755a.jpg photo DSC09278_zpsf20104c0.jpg photo DSC09279_zps05eb7550.jpg photo DSC09280_zpsd22487c2.jpg photo DSC09281_zpsc66cf68c.jpg photo DSC09282_zps138091fb.jpg photo DSC09283_zps91b235e1.jpg photo DSC09284_zps26995e92.jpg photo DSC09285_zps5e250cbf.jpg photo DSC09286_zps4ed670c2.jpg photo DSC09287_zps8c1d2d6b.jpg photo DSC09288_zps845304d3.jpg photo DSC09289_zpsa4d17317.jpg photo DSC09290_zps70c916bc.jpg photo DSC09291_zps771af231.jpg photo DSC09226_zps516c70e9.jpg photo DSC09292_zpscc412f16.jpg photo DSC09293_zpsb26121e8.jpg photo DSC09294_zps13d373e3.jpg photo DSC09361_zps025f42b0.jpg photo DSC09362_zps3160bcce.jpg photo DSC09363_zps7ba72b9e.jpg photo DSC09364_zps8de8e7c8.jpg photo DSC09365_zps2cdbccee.jpg photo DSC09366_zps4053d94a.jpg photo DSC09367_zps117e62ad.jpg photo DSC09368_zpscbc267a2.jpg photo DSC09369_zpsc27f704a.jpg photo DSC09370_zps972c9e09.jpg photo DSC09371_zpsbaaa973a.jpg

Lincoln MKC spied in final form

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

When the Lincoln MKC Concept debuted back in January, it received fairly positive feedback from both Autoblog editors and readers alike, and this bodes well for the production version of the luxury crossover judging by these latest spy shots. Reader Ivan Lo captured a few pictures of some MKC prototypes driving around with minimal camouflage, which gives us our best look yet at the design of this new Escape-based Lincoln.
Based on the spy shots from back in May, we already knew that the production MKC would sport some real door handles, a little side cladding and bigger door mirrors, but these latest shots also show us that the rear quarter windows have been enlarged and the integrated dual exhaust outlets have been replaced by round pipes. This means that the MKC will retain the concept's narrow headlights and what is arguably Lincoln's best execution of its split-wing grille. Even better, the rear view confirms the stylish horizontal taillights will remain intact, as well as the Audi-like wraparound liftgate. Since the entire taillight assembly rises along with the liftgate, redundant lights were also added into the rear fascia.
Unfortunately, the low angle of these spy shots leaves us without a view of the interior, but based on its looks alone, the MKC is shaping up to be a promising vehicle for a brand that so badly needs some fresh metal.

Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.

Lincoln dealers to build standalone dealerships separate from Ford

Tue, Aug 14 2018

Way back in 2011, Ford Motor Credit Co. established Lincoln Automotive Financial Services as part of what Automotive News called "a campaign to set the Lincoln brand apart." Lincoln's been on a wild, public ride in the seven years since, which included a near-death experience in 2013 under former Ford CEO Alan Mulally. But Ford's luxury brand has rebounded and is ready to take another shot at setting itself apart. Automaker execs have asked dealers with twinned Ford- Lincoln dealerships in 30 major U.S. markets to build standalone stores. According to company data, the move isn't a gamble — dealers with standalone showrooms sell more vehicles. Lincoln's standalone dealerships in the 30 major U.S. markets that account for 70 percent of luxury segment sales increased 48 percent from 2014 to 2017, compared to an overall Lincoln brand sales increase of 18 percent. After a former Ford-Lincoln dealer in Minneapolis opened a devoted Lincoln store this January, sales have climbed 60 percent so far this year. Dealers in Orange County, California, and Atlanta, Georgia have seen sales double since opening exclusive Lincoln storefronts. The sales manager at the Atlanta dealer said, "Customers have pulled up and said, 'This is how it should be.'" Robert Parker, Lincoln's head of marketing, said, "Customers expect the environment to be equal to the product. They want to buy a luxury product in a luxury environment." That issue repeatedly comes up when a mass-market brand launches a luxury product; observers have lately wondered how much the issue affects sales of Hyundai's Genesis brand. Out of 845 Lincoln showrooms nationwide, there are 150 Lincoln dealers in those 30 major U.S. markets. So far, 72 dealers have made or are working to make the standalone switch on their own. Lincoln is asking the remaining 78 shops to follow suit, to agree to a new facility by July 2019 and to have the store finished by July 2021. Only the showrooms would need to be exclusive, service and other back-end departments can remain in Ford-branded complexes. Wielding the carrot, Lincoln will help dealers with relocating, and pay more for every car sold. Wielding the stick, Lincoln said that come Q2 2019, it won't let twinned dealers sell Black Label trims if they don't already. Over the next couple of years, Lincoln will complete the revamp of its lineup. Said marketing honco Parker, "The next phase of the transformation is critical.
