Hello - This is a rock solid car that is ready to enjoy immediately, drive anywhere, free of any concerns.  Absolutely zero mechanical issues and everything works great.

The car starts, runs, drives, turns, stops, handles...without flaw and recently completed a 530 mile trip without a whimper.

A/C is ice cold, ALL power options work perfectly:

  • Both windows go up and down quickly including the mini-vent windows
  • Same for all six directions for both seats
  • Power door locks are immediate and strong
  • Intermittent wipers work as new, so does the washer fluid pump, squirters
  • Headlight doors open and close smoothly
  • AM/FM/8-track radio is 100% functional including the 8-track player (actually sounds good!)
  • Still has the correct tri-axial power antenna that works with the factory CB radio, and it operates smoothly
  • Horn and cruise controls, all check
  • Turn signals, brake lights, hi/low beams, all good
  • Even the clock keeps perfect time

Tires are fairly new with less than 4000 miles.  Also new shocks, transmission rebuild, tune-up, battery and ignition module....much more.   Receipts for all new parts and professional maintenance and service over past 3 years add up to the asking price of $4750.

Paint on the car is a ten footer.  It still shines very nicely but has several touch-ups, scratches, couple door dings, etc...that are easy to see on close inspection.  I say drive it and enjoy as is, but if you want to show it or must have new looking paint, it would have to be done and the car is certainly worthy of it.   The only tiny specs of rust visible anywhere are in the lower left corner of the rear bumper, shown in a close-up.   No signs of collision or rust damage elsewhere.   The original Coach Roof vinyl top is perfect.

Interior shows wear and separated seams in the very lower outer corner of the driver's seat, but this is repairable, no tears, holes, etc.   The interior otherwise is excellent; carpets, original floor mats, headliner, door panels, etc..all beautiful.

Engine compartment and undercarriage are also solid;  again, not new or show quality, but very very nice - I'd say better than average driver quality.

I am advertising in several places, will end the auction immediately if it sells locally.  We are located in Menasha, WI which is about 1.5 hour north of Milwaukee.   I have plenty more pictures; please call me at 920-205-1295 to have them sent to you.   I will happily accommodate any personal inspection of the car, and in fact strongly prefer it.   There are several services available that will do this for a reasonable fee, or maybe try to find a forum member or similar to come for a test drive.   I will drive up to an hour or so to help make this happen for you.   I've never sold a car on ebay before, always preferring to deal in person  -  I want you to be happy with the car!   Any questions, requests for more pictures, will be answered quickly.   Working on a video to post online also - have been frustrated with this so far, but still trying...

Motor on,

Perry

The Lincoln Way seeks to woo customers with unique services

Tue, Jul 19 2016

Lincoln has been fighting hard to shed their image as a luxury brand for the elderly. The company has recently introduced or updated nearly every vehicle in its fleet in order to literally put a new face on the brand. Options, like the Black Label program, attempt to pull influence from high-end automakers that provide services extending beyond scheduled oil changes. Now, Lincoln is introducing a program that it refers to as The Lincoln Way, a suite of customer-oriented services that the company hopes will set it apart from the pack. All of this starts this fall when the new Continental goes on sale. Customers will have access to services like vehicle pickup and drop off and complimentary loaner vehicles. The company is planning more incentives for the future, but details are vague. Lincoln parent Ford is offering similar services on the upcoming GT. The Lincoln Way seems to be an expansion of some services already offered under the Black Label program. Right now, Black Label includes scheduled maintenance, car washes, and concierge services, as well as exclusive vehicle colors and options. The program is pricey and only available on some models in some states, though Lincoln plans on expanding Black Label's reach. In addition to these services, Lincoln is opening a showroom of sorts, called the Lincoln Experience Center, in Newport Beach, California. The facility won't actually sell vehicles. Instead, customers can come and learn about the brand, build and price vehicles, and take test drives. The Experience Center will then put customers in contact with local dealers. Lincoln says the increased focus on customer care and satisfaction draws influence from the company's growth in China. Since the introduction of The Lincoln Way services, sales in China have grown greatly. Sales in the United States, like China, have been improving the past few years. With the introduction of The Lincoln Way, the company hopes that Matthew Mcconaughey won't be the only draw for future customers. Related Video: Lincoln Ownership Luxury lincoln black label

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.

Lincoln reveals the posh and powerful 2018 Navigator

Wed, Apr 12 2017

If you were a fan of the Navigator concept from last year's New York show, we've got good news. The production Navigator looks just like it. Sure there are subtle changes. The gullwing doors are gone, but no one should be surprised by that. A side effect is that it has conventional chrome door handles, too. The lower grille in the front bumper is a tad different, and the rear taillights are a bit thicker, but the overall look has stayed the same. That includes the tall, regal grille with a mesh consisting of Lincoln badge outlines, the side vents on the fenders, and those beautiful, intricate turbine wheels. On the top-of-the-line Black Label models, the Navigator gets an illuminated badge that lights up with the puddle lights when the driver approaches. View 15 Photos Since the Navigator is based on the Ford Expedition, it's unsurprising that they're very similar mechanically. The Navigator has aluminum construction, and it's propelled by a version of the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 found in so many Ford products. However, the Navigator's engine makes an impressive 450 horsepower compared with the expected 375 horsepower from the Expedition. Those plush ponies goes through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the Navigator stays true to the concept, and most important, shares essentially nothing with the plebeian Expedition. Like in the concept, the dashboard is low and wide and features plenty of wood and leather. The instrument panel is a configurable 12-inch display, and to its right is an upright, floating touch screen for infotainment. The buttons for shifting hang off the trailing edge of the dashboard, where a gap opens between it and the center console. The console houses the climate control buttons, and rises to meet the dash. Aside from the luxurious dash, occupants are treated to the Continental's 30-way adjustable front seats, which are heated and cooled. The interior should be whisper quiet as well, thanks to laminated front and side glass. This should allow passengers to better enjoy the available 20-speaker Revel II sound system even more. Plenty of gizmos and tech are at the fingertips of Navigator drivers, too. One of the more unique tidbits of technology are the adaptive headlights. At low speeds, the headlight beam is very wide to illuminate objects or pedestrians on the sides of the road. However, at high speeds, the beam narrows to reduce glare from street signs.
