I am offering up my 1962 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible with 65,000 actual miles. The car was purchased in the spring of 1991 from the estate of Henry Shakespeare (owner of Shakespeare Rod and Reel Co. in Kalamazoo Mi.) I was told Mr. Shakespeare purchased the convertible in the fall of 1961 for his wife, and it remained hers until it was sold at auction in 1991. 62 Continental 4 door convertible 430 cubic inch V-8 with 65,000 actual miles Automatic Transmission Suicide doors Power windows and locks am-fm cassette Power seat Shortly after I bought the car I replaced the complete 4 muffler exhaust system, front and rear brakes, front and rear shocks and all four whitewall tires (Firestone sup-r belt deluxe champion J78-14) and are 95% of new. My wife and I drove the car every summer from 1991-1995 and always stored it in a heated garage during the winter. In 1996 I began a restoration project to the right side of the vehicle. There were a couple of thin spots behind the right front wheel and behind the right rear wheel, I cut these spots out, and just never found the time to finish the project. The right front and rear doors are rustfree with a few small dings that have been repaired and primed and are ready to be reinstalled. (see pics) The undercarriage appears to be solid. The car needs a good overall cleaning from sitting so long, but the black and white leather interior and the chrome should clean up nicely. We always enjoyed driving the Lincoln, it rode like a couch, and turned alot of heads everywhere we went. We entered it into a few local car shows, and took home a trophy for people's choice and earliest entry, just to name a couple. We enjoyed driving and showing the car so much that I decided to make it perfect, so the restoration project began. Shortly afterward I was in an accident, broke 4 ribs and my collarbone, so I couldn't finish. In retrospect, I wish I had just left well enough alone, the car was nice like it was and was already winning trophies. So now you know as much about the Lincoln as I do. Hope you enjoy looking at it. Happy Bidding!! we reserve the right to end auction early for local sale

2017 Lincoln Continental pricing undercuts Cadillac CT6
Wed, Apr 13 2016For 40,000 people interested in purchasing a new Lincoln Continental, today is the day they've been waiting for. We have the full and complete list of prices and optional extras for the luxury brand's big, new sedan. The Continental will be offered in four trims – Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. The Premiere starts at $45,485 (including $925 in destination pricing), while the Select kicks off at $48,440. Speaking of the Select, the base 3.7-liter V6 can be swapped for a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, if you've got $2,250 to burn, driving the price up to $50,690. Going to the Reserve gets you more kit and the 2.7-liter comes standard, but the price increases to $54,840. Finally, the base Black Label starts at $63,840. In the case of both the high-end trims, Lincoln will let you upgrade to the eagerly anticipated 400-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 for $3,265. All-wheel drive is a $2,000 option regardless of trim or engine. Standalone options include Lincoln's "Perfect Position" seats, a $1,500 feature that adds 30-way adjustability. It's easy to drive those prices up, of course. Lincoln is offering five options packages, spread across the Select, Reserve, and Black Label trims. The Select Plus (blind-spot monitoring and Sync 3) adds $1,255 to the price of the Select. The $695 Climate Pack (automatic high beams, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and rain sensing wipers) and $3,105 Technology Pack (360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, Enhanced Active Park Assist, lane keeping assist, and forward collision warning) can be added to the Select, Reserve, and Black Label. The $4,300 Rear-Seat Pack (heated, cooled, and multi-contour rear seats, inflatable rear belts, and a panoramic sunroof) will pamper backseat passengers on the high-end Reserve and Black Label, while the $5,000 Luxury Package will add LED headlamps and a 19-speaker Revel stereo to the Reserve trim. Standalone options include Lincoln's "Perfect Position" seats, a $1,500 feature that adds 30-way adjustability. That's just silly. More common features include a $1,130 Revel stereo, a $1,750 panoramic sunroof, $750 20-inch wheels, and a $335 CD player. So yeah, don't expect many of those base prices to make it to the showroom without some swelling. By our math, the Conti tops out at a cool $82,400. Lincoln says it's big target for the Conti is Audi A6, and its pricing matches up neatly with that car. The front-drive 2.0-liter turbocharged A6 Premium starts at $47,125.
2017 Lincoln Continental spied inside and out
Thu, Jul 9 2015Lincoln certainly made us stand up and take notice when it unveiled the Continental concept at the New York Auto Show this past March. Showcars, however, are only worth so much if they never reach production. But as these latest spy shots indicate, Ford's luxury division is hard at work taking the new Conti from show floor to showroom. The team from Dearborn has clearly gone to great lengths to disguise this prototype, wrapping it in a new type of camouflage with trompe l'oeil bulbous-looking shapes to keep us from seeing just how close the production version will keep to (or how far it may stray from) the concept's design. Our spy photographers did, however, manage to snap some shots of the inside through the side glass, and though it's still evidently some ways off from reaching production, some key details give us an idea of what to expect. Look closely and you can make out the buttons for the transmission running down the side of the infotainment screen, just like on other new Lincolns. The chromework appears to have been toned down some from the blinged-out dashboard of the showcar, but it may be too early to say how much shine there will be to the production model. The overall design of the center console looks pretty darn close to the version we saw in New York, though. The Continental is expected to replace the MKS, as Lincoln moves away from alphabetical nomenclature back towards actual nameplates. Assembly is slated to be undertaken in Flat Rock, MI. There are a great many more details yet to be uncovered, but as far as early indications go, it looks like Lincoln is well on its way to making its concept a reality. Related Video:
