This is truly a magnificent automobile! Most people think it's a new car! I am the third very fortunate owner, of this beautiful automobile. The original owner was a couple who lived in both Florida and Connecticut for 19 years. The second owner lived in CT. I, the third owner, live in Massachusetts. I and my wife have used this car as our Florida escape machine, since we don't fly. I've also used it to commute to work on a daily basis on 95% highway traffic. I have driven this automobile approximately 13,000 miles without any problems what so ever. Prior to my ownership this Lexus was never driven in snow or any harsh conditions for 20 years! I had the AC system upgraded from R12 freon to R134. This automobile has only been serviced at Lexus dealers for it's entire life! Lexus has the service doc's available at all Lexus dealers as long as you have the VIN number. I have a copy of all of these Lexus service records. Oil changes have only been done with synthetic oil. The AutoCheck reveals that this car had a minor fender bender in March 1993, which is of no significance, since it was so long ago, and no imperfections are showing in this area as witnessed by the photos, this is a testimony to the professional workmanship of this minor repair. The exterior original paint on this automobile is near perfect with no noticeable flaws or dents as seen in the photos. This Lexus has absolutely no rust on it, or in it, what so ever. The leather seats in this Lexus have no cracks from wear, weathering or sun. The interior is flawless with the exception of the plastic surround for the glove box release button, there is a crack surrounding the button as seen in the photos, but it's hardly noticeable and does not affect its function at all, this is quite typical for this model. The dash areas pixels for radio, cassette, CD and climate control are in perfect condition. The instrumentation is also perfect with no warning lights on. Everything works as it should, with a minor exception being the CD player, it is non-functioning. Personally I listen to the superb stereo system cassette or radio, so this small item never really bothered me. The tires on this Lexus are new as they were purchased in December 2012. The brakes have 80% of their pads left. This automobile is really in exceptional condition, with not too many left in the marketplace with under 100k. As anyone who knows anything about Lexus engines, they know that they can last for over 300k miles and more with proper maintenance. This one with just 82,000 is just beginning its life and will certainly make the next owner very proud to own this superb automobile. So why are we selling? Well, my wife really wants a four door, as we are closing in on our retirement. It isn't so easy for our friends and relatives who are our age to jump in the back seat, so to make my life simpler it's whatever she wants, she gets. This car will come with all manuals, books, records, and five keys. This very fine automobile will be sold with a reserve price. Please do not ask what it is. The reserve will be reasonable and not outrageous as some owners are. Since I am a private seller I will not get involved in shipping and all funds must clear before the title will be released Good Luck in winning this magnificent automobile!

Lexus GX and LX future may be in doubt
Fri, Apr 3 2015With the debut of an all-new RX, Lexus is in a position for continued strong sales in the luxury SUV arena. The fourth-generation RX has grown, making room for the new NX model beneath it. But further up the ladder, things could change for the GX and LX. In an interview with Autoblog at the 2015 New York Auto Show, Lexus executive vice president Mark Templin gave some hints at the future of his brand's SUV lineup. "With NX and RX, we have a really good one-two punch in the crossover segments, and we think we can cover most of the markets with that," he said. As for the larger, three-row GX and LX models, which are built on a traditional ladder-frame chassis, things aren't so clear. Templin noted the the success of both models all over the world – the LX is the best-selling Lexus in Saudi Arabia. The same is true for sales here, he said: "We do very well with those products in the United States – GX has been a great product for us in the US for the last couple of years since its initial introduction. But the future of those vehicles longer term is in doubt because of regulations that are being driven by governments all over the world." Don't start stockpiling LX 570s in anticipation of shortages just yet. Templin didn't give any specifics; he just notes that tightening fuel economy and emissions regulations could affect product planning. In our analysis, if and when GX rides off into the sunset, Lexus still needs a midsize, three-row SUV to fill that gap. The most likely candidate for that is some variation on the RX. Whether or not that's the case, don't expect a BMW-like proliferation of body styles from Toyota's luxury division. "It creates problems. It creates complexity, that's hard for every step of the process," Templin said, nothing that too many models stresses the design department, manufacturing, and even dealers inventory selection. As for the bottom end of the lineup, Templin wouldn't comment on a compact SUV below the NX, saying "I think there are more potential options for us in the future, but we're not trying to grow the number of models we have in our lineup. It's not really what our core business is about." For now, Lexus and Templin are focused on launching the RX, which accounts for three of every 10 Lexus models ever sold. The 2016 model, available in RX 350 and RX 450h hybrid versions, goes on sale by the end of the year. Related Video:
Lexus dumps RC F Super GT in favor of stunning LC 500 racer
Fri, Aug 26 2016Japan's Super GT series remains a favorite at the Autoblog office, because like British Touring Cars and Germany's DTM, the cars look vaguely like the ones you can actually buy, and the racing is close and intense. And next year, Japan's wildest racing will include the Lexus LC 500. Toyota and Gazoo Racing are phasing out the old RC F – which will continue racing here in the US GT3 ranks since it's barely a year old – in favor of Lexus' bigger, cushier two-door coupe. The racer depends on a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder – just like every other car in the GT500 ranks – but unlike the 5.0-liter V8 or a 3.5-liter hybrid V6 in the LC 500s folks could actually buy. But let's ignore the mechanicals, because look at this monstrous racer. The LC is already the best looking car to wear Lexus' polarizing design language, but the aggressive cuts, angles, and oddly shaped headlights look great when paired with a Super GT car's aerodynamic appendages. Monstrous, flared wheel arches, a mammoth rear wing, and side skirts big enough to serve drinks on are just a few of the aero improvements for the LC 500 racer. Then, there's the really cool stuff, like the exhaust exit in the passenger side door. All cars should have side-exit exhausts in the door. According to Toyota and Gazoo's Google Translated website, the new LC 500 Super GT500 will campaign in the 2017 season. We can't wait to see it hit the track. Related Video:
2018 Lexus LC 500 Prototype First Drive
Mon, Jan 18 2016Chief executives aren't normally as candid as Akio Toyoda was last week. At the launch of hot new Lexus LC 500 coupe at the Detroit Auto Show, the chief executive of Lexus and Toyota and grandson of the company's founder, said that he'd received letters telling him that his Lexus luxury brand cars were dull and boring and that he agreed. "I took them to heart," said this tiny and forceful boss, "and I'm ensuring that the word 'boring' and 'Lexus' will never occupy the same sentence ever again." But boring has been an ongoing problem for Lexus. And for the last year I've been involved in trying to help solve it. Let me explain. Akio has made his extraordinary "Lexus is Boring" speech before. That was five years ago on the windswept golf courses at the Pebble-Beach Concourse d'Elegance at the launch of the fourth-generation GS sedan. With its new-look spindle grille, basking-shark air intakes, and razor-edged curves, GS was the first of the new-look Lexus models, but Akio still wasn't happy. In 2011, after 11 consecutive years of premium market leadership in America, Lexus had lost it to the Germans. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi didn't just build better looking cars, but more interesting and more fun-to-drive cars. "We're not just making a coupe, we're creating a new generation of Lexus." Lexus' shtick of reliability, immaculate-quality, hybrid gas-efficiency, golf-bag trunk optimization, and specification-adjusted value didn't cut it anymore. Akio, a keen race driver and petrolhead enthusiast, knew his cars needed a dynamic shot in the arm and a smoldering love affair with right-brain desirability. In short, he wanted Lexus engineers to build a car to bring a smile to drivers' faces. A tall order, then. And one which Koji Sato, deputy chief engineer on the LC had to consider carefully. As he says: "Akio's Pebble Beach speech was the starting point; we're not just making a coupe, we're creating a new generation of Lexus." With such a brief, and Akio's legendary peppery opinions in mind, Sato came up with a radical idea. Reckoning that sometime in-house teams can look so much in-house that they become blinkered, he decided he needed to open things up and recruit a team of outsiders. So, for the last year I, along with a small team of hand-picked journalists, race drivers, and keen-driving dealers, have been part of Sato-san's 'irregular army'. Why me? It's a good question.
