I am selling my SUV. It is a 1996 Lexus LX450. I brought it from a dealer in Florida, who told me that it was a trade-in in 2003 when it had 96k miles, and have been driving it until recently. It now has 189K. The car has been parked near my house on the 45th block of Larchwood in Philadelphia. Over the years, it developed dents and scratches on the bumpers and sides. Other than that it looks fine, especially for its age. In the 11 years I owned it I replaced breaks and rotor, alternator, a condenser for the AC. Overall well maintained. The car did not develop major mechanical problems, except for the power seats and one of the power door lock. It is still driving well, giving 18mpg on highway and 12 local. I am currently out of the country and will be in Philadelphia from Feb 10 to show the car. |

Lexus celebrates 10 years of F performance
Wed, Feb 7 2018RC F and GS F are getting special editions. To celebrate 10 years of f performance. Only 240 of the RC F will be produced, a number chosen because there are 240 Lexus dealers in the U.S. Transcript: RC F and GS F are getting special editions to celebrate 10 years of f performance. Both cars are finished in a matte paint called nebula gray. The wheels are painted in a gloss black and the brake calipers are painted a bright blue to match the f brand's colors. They each get bright blue leather seats with gray accents and blue suede shift knobs. Sadly, they don't get any performance upgrades over the normal models, but they are visually striking. These 10th-anniversary edition cars are extremely limited production. Only 240 of the RC F will be produced, a number chosen because there are 240 Lexus dealers in the U.S. Only 100 of the GS F will be sold. Toyota announces two recalls affecting 1M Corolla, Matrix and Lexus IS models
Wed, 30 Jan 2013The recall bug strikes Toyota again. The automaker has issued a voluntary recall of three models that, in total, represent more than one million units. Around 752,000 2003-2004 Toyota Corolla and Matrix models are being recalled for airbag concerns, while a windshield wiper issue is causing the recall for close to 270,000 Lexus IS sedans from the 2006-2012 model years.
Completely unrelated to the small airbag-related recall issued earlier in the week, the Corolla and Matrix recall is caused by a faulty airbag control module that could potentially short circuit, which could lead to the front airbags or seat belt pretensioners deploying. The Lexus recall is due to a wiper arm nut that wasn't tightened properly, which can cause the wipers to not work when trying to clear heavy buildup such as snow.
