THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED. THE CARFAX INCIDENT IS FOR A DIME SIZE HOLE IN THE PASSENGER MIRROR THAT MY EX
WIFE SOMEHOW MANAGED TO DO.
IVE DECIDED TO SELL MY IS-F DUE TO MY BUSINESS EXPANDING AND MY NEED FOR ANOTHER GX. I BOUGHT THIS ISF IN NOVEMBER
OF 2013 WITH ABOUT 50,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS THE LEXUS CPO WARRANTY FOR 100K MILES OR 3 YEARS BUT IT IS NOT
TRANSFERABLE. THIS SHOULD GIVE THE BUYER PEACE OF MIND THAT IS THERE WERE ANY ISSUES THEY WOULD BE FIXED FOR FREE
BY THE DEALERSHIP SO THERE ARE NO HIDDEN PROBLEMS. IF YOU CHECK MY FEEDBACK YOU WILL SEE THAT IN 11 YEARS IVE NEVER
HAD A NEGATIVE OR EVEN A NEUTRAL FEEDBACK ALL 100% POSITIVE. I WILL BE STRAIGHT FORWARD 100% HONEST WITH ANY
QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS CAR.
IT IS IN PERFECT MECHANICAL CONDITION. ALL SERVICING HAS BEEN DONE BY THE DEALER RIGHT DOWN TO THE OIL CHANGES. IT
PERFORMS FLAWLESSLY, AFTER OWNING A COUPLE BMW M3s PRIOR TO THIS CAR AND RECENTLY HAVING A JOB DRIVING PORCHES I
CAN SAY I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GERMAN CAR AGAIN. RELIABILITY AND VALUE YEA WE ALL KNOW THE JAPS ON THAT BUT
PERFORMANCE TOO? THIS CAR IS A BEAST.
IT DOES HAVE SOME MINOR CURB (STARBUCKS DRIVE THRU) RASH ON A RIM OR TWO. A LITTLE SCRAPE ON THE BACK RIGHT
QUARTER PANEL THAT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO THE BLONDS CHEST IN THE BACK SEAT THEN MY MAILBOX
WHILE BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND THE CLEAR COAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE FRONT OF THE HOOD IS PEELING OFF.
THERE IS ALSO A DIME SIZE HOLE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PASSANGER SIDE MIRROR THAT MY EX WIFE PLACED THERE FOR ME.
THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS IN THE INTERIOR. I MOSTLY TRAVELED ALONE SO THE BACK SEAT IS ALMOST UNUSED. IM ONLY 170
POUNDS SO THE DRIVERS SEAT IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION TOO.
IM WILLING TO MEET ANYONE THAT MAY WANT TO INSPECT IT AT EITHER THE MELBOURNE OR ORLANDO AIRPORT. WE CAN GO TO A
LEXUS DEALER OR ANY PLACE YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT COMPLETELY INSPECTED. REMEMBER IT IS STILL UNDER LEXUS WARRANTY
SO ANYTHING WRONG WILL BE 100% PAID FOR BY LEXUS UNTIL I SELL IT. I WILL POST SOME INTERIOR PICTURES SOON. PLEASE
DONT HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS. IM LOOKING FOR A LEXUS GX OR LX. THANKS, DAN

Toyota, Lexus will offer low-cost automated braking system

Mon, Mar 30 2015

First, a technology gets better, then it gets a lot better, then it gets less expensive, then it gets a lot less expensive. Advanced driver safety and convenience systems are about to make that last step thanks to Toyota. Centered around a pre-collision braking system, there will be three suites of driver aids known as Toyota Safety Sense C (TSS C) for compact cars, Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS P) for midsized and premium cars, and Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) for the luxury brand. TSS C pairs a camera with laser radar to provide a pre-collision system that prompts the driver to brake if it detects an impending accident, and can supply additional braking force and automatically brake between seven and fifty miles per hour. There are also Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beam. TSS P pairs a camera with more precise millimeter-wave radar. Starting with the three functions in TSS C, it adds pedestrian pre-collision capability and adaptive cruise control. This one will be available first, coming on the new RAV4 Hybrid and Avalon. TSS - either C or P - will expand to three more vehicles by the end of the year. The wallop is in the price: TSS C will be a $300 option, TSS P will cost $500. Compare the Ford Fusion SE, for instance - it's Driver Assistance Package comes with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beams, it has Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot and Cross Traffic Detection that neither TSS has, but doesn't have any autonomous braking feature. It costs $1,200, but requires you to add the Technology and Luxury Packages for a total price of $3,165. If you want Autonomous Cruise Control, that's another $995, for $4,160 in total. Instead of $300 or $500 on the Toyota. Lexus' LSS+ will come first on the new RX then spread to four more models by the end of this year, and cost between $500 and $635 to add as an option. It also uses a camera and millimeter-wave radar for its vehicle and pedestrian pre-collision system, lane departure warning and lane keep assist, automatic high beam, and auto cruise control. The similar package on a BMW X5, with no pedestrian component, is $1,200. Toyota says both safety suites will eventually be on "nearly all" of it products and all trim levels by the end of 2017.

Award-winning Lexus Sport Yacht to get a production successor

Sat, Mar 10 2018

Imagine driving along a coastal road in the evening sun, listening to Christopher Cross, Michael McDonald or some other very smooth singer usually associated with the tag "Yacht Rock". Perhaps a Lexus coupe could very well suit that soft rock mental imagery, with "Sailing" playing from its Mark Levinson audio as you cruise down the road in a laid-back fashion. But you could in fact be sailing in a Lexus-branded boat, too. Revealed a year ago, the Lexus Sport Yacht isn't just a badge-engineering job: it was created by Lexus Design, engineered by Toyota's Marine Division and built by the Wisconsin-based boat manufacturer Marquis-Larson Boat Group. The one existing example has just now been honored at the Yokohama International Boat Show, by Japan's Boat of the Year committee. As Toyota's Executive Vice President Shigeki Tomoyama accepted the award, he also announced production plans for a globally sold Lexus Yacht. "Based on our amazing experiences in engineering, building, testing and showing the Lexus Sport Yacht concept last year, we've decided to take the next bold step of producing an all-new larger yacht that builds on the advanced nature of the concept while adding more comfort and living space," Tomoyama said. "We plan to start sales in the U.S. in the latter half of 2019, with sales in Japan following in the spring of 2020." The new, 65-foot yacht will be built in partnership with Marquis-Larson, and more details of it will be revealed later. Related Video:

Lexus exploring PHEV, full EV and fuel cell versions of LS flagship

Mon, Apr 16 2018

After four years of rumors about a Lexus LS powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, the chief engineer of the flagship sedan says the carmaker's working on even more options. Toshio Asahi told Australia's GoAuto that three alternative powertrains — plug-in hybrid, full electric, and hydrogen — are "all on the table" for consideration. Asahi wouldn't give any timeframes, but whenever they arrive, additional drive options would fill out the LS range to better contend with the Germans. Years of reports predicted this fifth-generation LS would get hydrogen power. A Motoring article at the end of 2014 forecast a fuel cell LS to arrive by 2017. In 2015 Japan's Nikkei newspaper reported that Lexus was considering a fuel cell option to arrive in 2020, around the time of the Tokyo Olympics. Later that year, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Lexus showed off the LF-FC concept, powered by a cell and stack arranged for "optimum front-rear weight distribution for a sporty saloon." GoAuto said that during that show, a Lexus executive said an FCEV powertrain would end up in production "sooner than you think." The following year, Autocar reported we'd see a production version of the LF-FC "on sale before 2020" as a replacement for the LS, and last year, Lexus trademarked the name "LF-FC Concept." The intel gets murkier regarding plug-in hybrid and full electric versions. We now know Lexus is working on a more powerful hybrid system. The current hybrid produces a total system 354 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque using the same 3.5-liter V6 in the standard car as a base, though the standard car adds two turbos for 415 hp and 442 lb-ft. The coming hybrid will likely use the twin-turbo setup and could achieve two important ends: Smoothing out noted issues of powertrain refinement, and at least matching the power specs of Mercedes-Benz and BMW flagship plug-in hybrids. That hybrid LS would still miss out on the all-electric driving of its rivals. If there really is an LF-FC coming in the next two years, it would seem a perfect time to retire the conventional hybrid and introduce a plug-in version embodying the velvet sophistication Lexus is known for. The battery electric LS is a big question mark outside of Lexus HQ. Last year Toyota announced a breakthrough in solid state battery technology, the carmaker announcing it wanted such batteries on the market by 2022.
