290HP VVT-i V8 Engine. Loaded with Options...NAKAMICHI Sound System, 6 DISC CD, Cold Weather Pckg(Heated Seats, Traction Control). Exterior of the car looks very nice, as you can see in the pictures. Paint still has a beautiful shine. No Dents. Interior is Clean. Leather Seats have minimal wear. Carpet is free of any deep stains.

Car runs and drives smooth!! Starts right up, Accelerates well and shifts smoothly!! Everything inside the car works. Heat and A/C work properly. Windows, locks and Sunroof all work. Even the Remote still works. Engine is solid. Cranks right up. Whisper quiet at idle. Has Strong Acceleration, very Powerful!! Trans shifts well. I don't see any visible leaks. No Service lights on the dash. Tires are decent all the way around. Suspension still seems to be pretty tight. I don't hear any shakes or rattles. Recently had the Front Brakes replaced, so it stops fine.

Please expect some normal wear and tear for a car of this age. I am not a mechanic, but I will do my best to describe any issues with the vehicle that a potential buyer might notice. The paint looks very nice. Amazing shine. No fading whatsoever!! No dents. Driver's door has a few dime sized door dings. Passenger door may have one or two small dings. Scratches are minimal and have all been professionally touched up. Interior is in nice shape. Leather seats have minimal cracking. There are some minor blemishes, to be expected with a car of this age. Both door panels, have small indentations. Looks like it's from the seatbelts getting caught when the door shuts. Power antenna does not go up and down, but still holds a signal. That's about it. Overall this car is in better condition than you would expect for a 98!! I get nothing but complements on the car. It drives and performs like you would expect for a 100K Mile car. And for a Lexus...it's just getting broken in!!

CAR is Sold AS-IS!! No Warranties Stated or Implied. I do stand behind my description and I value my Feedback Rating!!

Wholesale Shipping is Available for $399 or Less within 800 Miles of the Metro Atlanta Area by Licensed/Bonded Carriers. If you live outside of that range, please send me a message for your quote. J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.

Lexus gives IS early updates for 2015

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

After just a year on the road, Lexus is bringing some modest tech and style upgrades to the 2015 IS. There are no mechanical changes to speak of, but the refinements should spruce things up a little bit.
The only exterior change for the 2015 IS models is the addition of LED foglights, but as they say, it's what's on the inside that counts. All models get an improved radio with Siri Eyes Free voice command for iPhone 4S and 5 users, and the standard backup camera now includes dynamic grid lines. There is also new piano black trim around the instrument panel and window switches, and a Stratus Gray interior color replaces the previous Light Gray. Buyers get a one-year subscription to the Lexus Enform Remote, which allows drivers to use their smartphones to control some aspects of the car, like remotely locking the doors.
Vehicles ordered with the F Sport package get heated and ventilated front seats, and all-wheel-drive F Sport models get a heated steering wheel, as well. The warmed wheel is also optional on non-F all-wheel-drive models. It should keep drivers nice and toasty in the winter.
