This auction is for a 1992 Lexus SC400 in amazing condition! This vehicle is just shy of 46,000 miles, has been well maintained and runs and drives great!
We inspected this vehicle and it is in great shape, mechanically it seems perfect, engine fires right up and runs beautifully, transmission shifts great, all systems seem to operate correctly, suspension is in great shape, tires are Goodyear Eagles and are practically new. The timing belt was recently replaced, and everything under the hood seems to be in order. The only weird thing I noticed is that occasionally the check engine light and TRAC OFF light will come on and then go out within 30 seconds of coming on, not sure what is causing that, but recently it has not been doing that.
Interior is in very nice shape, driver seat appears to have had a tear on the left bolster that was repaired, repair doesn't seem to have been too great so that may need to be addressed again. Driver door panel has a couple of small blemishes, I took pictures of them. The door panels are in good shape still, the only other large inperfections are the main AC vent in the middle has a vertical crack in it and then just normal wear and tear. The AC system works great, all backlighting on the display works properly, the radio works great including the power antenna. Power windows and other options are all working properly. The trunk CD changer does not work, also two of the gauge needles in the instrument cluster have some dead spots in their backlighting once they warm up. Also the speedometer seems a little off, when put into reverse the speedometer needle jumps around, and when driving forward it reads 10mph too fast. Everything else inside is working properly and in great shape!
The paint is in great condition, it is all original and has a good luster. Even the headlights are original and have no yellowing! There are door dings on the doors and quarter panels, there is also one dent on the bottom of the rear right side quarter panel, I incuded a picture of that.
Overall this car is in great condition for its age, it hasn't been kept in a warehouse but has been garage kept and is very much a great example of one of these beautiful cars! If you have any questions please ask before bidding, this car is for sale locally also. Out of state buyers may have to pay sales tax depending on state laws, please contact us before bidding so you can know what to expect. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction, the rest due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Feel free to call us at: 352-344-4383 if you have questions. Thanks for looking!

Lexus made an LX ride-on for a child with cerebral palsy

Sun, Mar 8 2020

Ride-on vehicles, or Power Wheels as many know them, are a perfect way for young children to experience driving and cars for the first time. Unfortunately, certain congenital disorders can prevent some children from having that from experience. Lexus, in collaboration with Givewith and the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (CPF), wanted to help reduce the barrier of access to fun mobility, and has created an LX ride-on specifically customized for a girl with cerebral palsy.  Six-year-old Finley Smallwood has the most common motor disorder that affects children, cerebral palsy. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), cerebral palsy is "a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture." Because of this, she is unable to use ride-on vehicles the way they are currently built. Lexus was inspired by Finley to design and develop solutions that could get here into a car. The ride-on, which has the looks of a topless LX SUV, has several custom features. Finley has a tough time sitting for a long time, so Lexus added waist-high side padding and modified the seat. The LX ride-on also has an adjustable headrest, and a five-point harness to keep the driver safe, stable, and secure. Ingress and egress on current ride-ons can also be difficult, so Lexus lowered the vehicle and increased the size of the doors.  The largest change is the method of control. Because some children with cerebral palsy might not be able to use a foot pedal or have the strength to use a steering wheel, this ride-on doesn't have either. Instead, Lexus configured an armrest joystick to control the vehicle's direction and acceleration.   Lexus delivered the LX to Finley in March, which is National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. Lexus teases a wild electric car concept for Tokyo Motor Show

Thu, Oct 10 2019

The Tokyo Motor Show is shaping up to have plenty of wild concepts, from Mitsubishi's turbine-powered plug-in hybrid to Daihatsu's funky mini cars. But we doubt any of these cars will top what Lexus is bringing based on the teaser image above. Not much is shown of the car, but what is visible is extreme. We can see what looks like the Lexus spindle grille taken to its ultimate conclusion with the lower section seemingly wrapping around the front corners. The edges of the grille contain the car's headlights. The nose looks quite blunt and the windshield looks to be placed far forward. Since this is an electric car concept, having the cabin close to the front is possible and makes sense for maximum cargo space. We can also make out the instruments, which appear to be rendered in concentric circles on a transparent display. Things like range, power and more are yet to be revealed. The car's unveiling will be at the Tokyo Motor Show in just a couple of weeks. With looks this dramatic, it's hard to imagine how it could translate to a production Lexus EV. But if it does, Lexus will be taking a mighty bold direction in car design.

2013 Lexus ES350

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Finally Saying Goodbye To Its Camry Roots
In its equivalent world of breakfast foods, the Lexus ES350 is unquestionably the pancake. While its siblings may offer more interesting textures, flavors and consistencies - a generally more exciting culinary experience - the four-door ES is designed with 'indistinct' as its middle name. Its objective is to please just about every entry-level luxury buyer once it ends up on their plate.
Even after a complete redesign for the 2013 model year, the sixth-generation Lexus ES350 emerges every bit as family-friendly and non-polarizing as its predecessors. It is the everyman's luxury sedan, offering attractive pricing and a satisfying fill of amenities and features with the sweetness of a long warranty and polished customer service to back things up.
