This is a low mileage (85K), 1995  Land Rover, Range Rover County LWB.

Avalon Blue

This was the last year of the classic style, the only year with the “Soft Dash”.

This well-loved Rover was used as a daily driver. It was a bucket list car for me and always the one that I wanted. This car has been a joy to own. The only reason for the sale is that the family needs more room. Previous owner was from Aspen, and this was his car for his vacation home. VERY well taken care of and always well maintained. NO RUST Colorado car.

 MECHANICAL:

The 3.9L engine is very good shape, with proper maintenance over the years. It does not smoke or burn oil. It has great pickup and the transmission shifts seamlessly. I have lots of the receipts for the work done.

- New distributor.

- New radiator

- Coil over conversion with 2”higher springs.

- Swivel ball Overhaul and seals replaced.

- Transfer Case replaced

- Cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires.

- New Muffler and Exhaust in good shape

- Complete Engine Re-seal.

-All shocks replaced at 73K

-New battery and New Alternator

EXTERIOR:

- The paint is in very good shape.

- NO frame rust. NO rust along the door jams or door bottoms.

- Tires have 80% or more tread.

- There are small scattered dings and dents, but nothing unsightly.

INTERIOR:

- The Sorrell leather is in very good shape. No cracks in any of the leather both front and back.

- The front power seats WORK, which is a rarity.

-The front seat heaters do NOT work.

- No malfunction lights illuminated on the dash.

- Cold A/C and warm heat.

- Headliner is in great shape No sags or tears anywhere.

- Power windows work.

- The factory clock and stereo works

- The wood along the dash and driver's side door trims are in good shape. The center console and passenger side has some cracks in the wood.

In summary, you are getting a very nice truck, which is getting rarer to find in the shape it’s in. While not perfect, it will continue to provide years of motoring bliss. It is NOT new, so be realistic in your expectations and you will not be disappointed. As with any car or truck of this age, driving it cross country would be at your own risk

If you have any questions regarding any aspect of the vehicle please feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  This vehicle will not be perfect. Please expect the vehicle to have defects, and or wear and tear appropriate from use and age. Vehicle is sold as is, where is, without warranty. Shipping is the responsibility of the winner.

Again, thank you for looking and hope this one finds a great new home......

Why Land Rover's reluctant to show concepts: Chinese clones

Thu, Oct 19 2017

While the Chinese auto industry continues to grow and expand with new and original products, a number of automakers still refuse to play by the rules. Rather than coming up with original designs, these automakers shamelessly copy designs from other automakers, slapping their badge on the front as if it were an original product. According to Auto Express, Land Rover has grown tired of dealing with these frauds to the point that it's essentially stopped showing concept cars in order to stave off these clones. One of the most notable and brazen examples of these Chinese copycats is the LandWind X7. While that car looks like an obvious ripoff of the Range Rover Evoque, complaints by Jaguar Land Rover were dismissed, and the X7 hit the market for about a third of the price of the Evoque. Further efforts by JLR have done nothing to halt or change the car's production. It seems Chinese authorities are more interested in protecting the home team than upholding copyright laws. Land Rover design boss Gerry McGovern said the automaker was "wary of showing new concepts" because they just give these competitors time to work up a copy. Land Rover's latest model, the Velar, debuted in Geneva in production form. Skipping concepts may not stop competitors from making copies, but it does give Land Rover a huge head start when it comes to production. Jaguar-Land Rover will use recycled waste to make parts for future models

Thu, Oct 1 2020

Jaguar-Land Rover's future models will be partially made of junk. The company announced it's working on integrating a recycled material named Econyl into its manufacturing process in the coming years. Created in 2011 by Italy-based Aquafil, Econyl is a fiber made with a blend of recycled industrial plastics, fabric offcuts sourced from clothing manufacturers, and discarded fishing nets aimlessly floating around the ocean. It's more eco-friendly to produce than oil-based fibers, according to Jaguar, and it helps clean up the planet. Jaguar and Land Rover will use Econyl to make floor mats in the not-too-distant future. Neither company listed the models they'll put the material in, but it's reasonable to assume recycled floor mats will be available in the next-generation XJ, which will be electric, and the next-generation Range Rover. Both will be released in 2021. Eco-friendly materials are slowly but surely spreading across the luxury car segment. Jaguar already offers the I-Pace with a Kvadrat upholstery that combines regular wool and up to 53 recycled plastic bottles per car. Audi's fourth-generation A3 is optionally available with an upholstery made largely using recycled plastic bottles, and Volvo estimates at least 25% of the plastics in its cars will be recycled starting in 2025. Environmentalist organizations are putting an increasing amount of pressure on carmakers to deliver so-called vegan interiors. A group called EarthSight recently accused several companies (including Jaguar-Land Rover and BMW) of using leather from cattle raised on illegally logged lands in Paraguay. Representatives for the British company stressed they found no evidence to verify EarthSight's claims. Related Video:

Land Rover planning SVX hardcore off-roaders

Sun, May 3 2015

The new Special Vehicle Operations division at Jaguar Land Rover has already given us an array of ultimate wheeled creations, but it isn't quite done yet. Next, according to Car and Driver, will be a new line of SVX models. Not to be confused with the Subaru coupe from the 1990s (which also had all-wheel drive, come to think of it), Land Rover's SVX models will be hardcore off-roaders. Details are few and far between at the moment, but they're said to take inspiration from rough-terrain events like the Dakar Rally and Camel Trophy as inspiration – different from the Ford F-150 Raptor that takes its cues from the Baja 1000. Last we heard, Land Rover was planning a hardcore Defender to send the model off to pasture in high-performance style, and considering an extreme Range Rover as well. If either of those rumors materialize, they look like they'd be prime candidates for the SVX line. JLR Special Vehicle Operations has already showcased what it can do with the high-performance Range Rover Sport SVR, the luxed-up Range Rover SVAutobiography, the exclusive F-Type Project 7 and the continuation classic Lightweight E-Type. C/D confirms that further SVR models are in store to replace Jaguar's R-S performance models, while the SVX line would likely remain exclusive to Land Rover.
