1995 Land Rover Range Rover County Classic Sport Utility 4-door 3.9l on 2040-cars
Beverly Hills, California, United States
I am selling this
1995 LWB RANGE ROVER CLASSIC- Beluga Black on Lightstone interior. The
truck has been family owned and has service receipts that will go with it for
your records. The 95’s are highly sought after because they are the last
year of the “Range Rover Classic” and offer one year only options inside and
out. 25 years of Range Rover innovation are found in the year model only,
will exclusive styling to boot. The vehicle will retain the 1 Year
only Range Rover Leather Bound Owner’s Manual/Portfolio. I have some
requirements for bidders, and by bidding on this vehicle it is understood that
you agree to ALL the purchase terms described in this ad. Most important
to me are the following terms: A) IF you have zero, or negative feedback
as a buyer, please message me with contact information BEFORE placing a bid..
B) If you bid and win, you agree to pay a $1000 deposit on this truck as
described in the body of this ad at the conclusion of auction via PayPal, and
the balance within 7 days of winning the auction, by any other method- cashier
check, cash, bank transfer, etc., no exceptions. (unless you contact me
first and we agree on another plan). C) By bidding on this vehicle,
you agree to all the terms of sale described in this ad, and agree that you
have read the entire ad. D) You will arrange for yourself or someone
to pick up the car, or arrange for the car to be shipped to your
location. Truck has Tom Walkenshaw Racing kit (TWR). A small number of U.S. Range Rovers (only SWB model) were sold with a body-styling kit designed by Tom Walkenshaw Racing (TWR) that was not included in the standard County Classic. The TWR body kit was first introduced back in 1991 on the European Brooklands model that was never sold in North America. In February 1995 LRNA issued a press release that said: "The TWR kit adds a unique and attractive appearance to the classic Range Rover. The kit is specially fitted at the Factory and is available on a limited number of Epsom Green and Beluga Black County Classics. Front bumper has steel Brush Guard. The leathers seats are beautiful, no “wear and tear” (they were re-upholstered to the original classic interior 2 years ago. No scratches or tears. They look brand new. The interior is in excellent condition, clean, working seats, power windows, and locks all work- seats were re-upholstered to the original classic interior 2 years ago. No smoking, no pets. Sunroof works. There are a few small blemishes here and there on the body- a scratch or scrape here and there but for a 1995 it looks pretty great inside and out. The paint on the hood and the roof is fading so eventually it will need to be painted. Overall, the truck
runs GOOD . The engine is in good condition, the tranny is smooth and the
transfer case operates beautifully. Its powerful- the drive train on
this car resembles the powerful esprit of a 100k mile car despite its having 176K She
has been loved and it shows. All power options work, original premium
equipment still works – the Harmon Kardon stereo system and 6 disk CD
changer. The front grille guard, fog lights, lower valance and fog lights
on the truck. The air suspension has been replaced with stock ride height
premium shocks and springs. Full tune up
including fuel filter, timing recalibrated, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, belt and
air element put in the truck 2 years ago. The truck needs a new catalytic
converter; the truck did not pass the Smog test because of this so you will
have obtain a smog test certificate in order to register the car in the United
States. The Smog Certificate will be your responsibility. Please note
that this truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction
at any time, so if you are serious about winning I suggest you bid sooner
rather than later. |

Jaguar Land Rover and Cambridge have developed a touchless touchscreen
Thu, Jul 23 2020Jaguar Land Rover and the University of Cambridge are working on new touchscreen technology that eliminates the need to touch the screen. Counterintuitive, right? It’s called “predictive touch” for now, in part because the system is able to predict what you might be aiming for on the screen. The video at the top of this post is the best way to understand how users will interact with the tech, but weÂ’ll do some more explaining here. You simply reach out with your finger pointing toward the item on screen that you want to select. ItÂ’ll highlight the item and then select it. HereÂ’s how it works, according to the University of Cambridge: “The technology uses machine intelligence to determine the item the user intends to select on the screen early in the pointing task, speeding up the interaction. It uses a gesture tracker, including vision-based or radio frequency-based sensors, which are increasingly common in consumer electronics; contextual information such as user profile, interface design, environmental conditions; and data available from other sensors, such as an eye-gaze tracker, to infer the userÂ’s intent in real time.” Cambridge claims that lab tests showed a 50 percent reduction in both effort and time by the driver in using the screen, which would theoretically translate to more time looking at the road and less time jabbing away at the screen. If the prediction and machine learning tech is good enough, we could see this resulting in a reduced number of accidental inputs. However, on a certain level it almost sounds more difficult to point at a screen while moving than it does to actually touch a section of that screen. Without using the tech and its supposedly great predictive abilities, we canÂ’t come to any grand conclusions. One comparison you may already be thinking of is BMWÂ’s Gesture Controls. ItÂ’s already been addressed with a subtle diss from Cambridge: “Our technology has numerous advantages over more basic mid-air interaction techniques or conventional gesture recognition, because it supports intuitive interactions with legacy interface designs and doesnÂ’t require any learning on the part of the user,” said Dr Bashar Ahmad of the University of Cambridge. Of course, this tech can be used for much more than just vehicle touchscreen control. Cambridge says it could be integrated into ATMs, airport check-in kiosks, grocery store self checkouts and more.
Aston Martin DB10 spied in action on James Bond Spectre set
Tue, Feb 17 2015Spectre, the next film in the James Bond franchise, is due for release on November 6 of this year. That means there's filming happening right now all over Europe as scenes are stitched together, and one of them involves the Aston Martin DB10 shuffling through maneuvers at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England. Our guess is that Bond has become an unwelcome guest at a fancy event – there's a Porsche 959 and a Bugatti EB110 in the courtyard – which is why he is forced to make one of his quick-reversing escapes under fire. While that was being captured last week, the Spectre production crew put together another behind-the-scenes clip from filming in Austria, which gives us a look at the Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Defender "Bigfoot" crushing it up some snowy mountain passes. That clip is below. Yes, we're excited.
