1995 Land Rover Range Rover Classic, County Lwb, Beluga Black on 2040-cars
Magee, Mississippi, United States
|
This is a 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB finished in Beluga Black with tan leather interior. Below is a description of the various systems of the truck:
Exterior: The truck looks pretty good for its age. The black paint is faded somewhat on the hood and on the top of the vehicle. The sides of the truck still have their shine. The windshield has no cracks or rock pits. There was a brush guard on the front, but I took it off since I prefer the look of the truck without it. I do still have it should the new owner be interested in it. The rear upper hatch is rusted out and doesn't stay shut which is a common Rover Classic problem. A new one can be obtained here on ebay or through a recycler. The tires are a matching set of Michelins and are decent, but will need to be changed soon. Interior: Overall, the tan leather interior and carpet looks pretty good. The driver's seat has the usual wear, whereas the passenger seat and rear seat look really good. The power windows work as they should. The stereo works as it should, but it is missing the CD changer in the back. The power door locks work from the inside, but the key won't turn the lock in the driver nor passenger door. The headliner is falling which is another common Rover problem. The driver's memory, power seat is not working with the switch. The switch is wired through an ECU which typically fails on these trucks. You can hook a 12V battery up to a terminal block under the driver's seat to move it. The motors in the seat work, just not the switch via the ECU. The passenger seat will move. I have no idea if the sunroof works as I never tried it. The A/C and heat both work great. Some of the wood trim on the console is delaminating due to age. The typical Rover lights are on/come and go: traction, ABS, and SRS. These don't effect driveability so I never looked into them. Mechanical: The truck starts up and runs out good. It does have a slight miss at idle, but goes away once at speed. I had the old air suspension replaced with OME springs. The transmission shifts out as it should with no problems. The front driveshaft ujoints have recently been replaced, as well as front tie rods and drag link. The truck has been serviced (oil and filter) on time throughout my ownership. This is what I know about this truck at the time of this listing. The mileage might be slightly higher by the auction end due to it being driven sparingly. Please keep in mind this is a British vehicle with Lucas electronics, 19 years of age and 148,600 miles under its belt. Things can and will go wrong, so please keep this in mind when contemplating and expectation you might have about the truck. However, this is a robust, fun truck that is a joy to drive. This vehicle has never left me stranded and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country. Please email with any questions you might have. Thanks ***Notice*** This auction is not a game. Once the auction is over, it will be time to immediately pay the down payment via paypal and arrange payment of the balance within seven days of the auction closing with a cashier's check or cash. This is not the time to want to kick tires or ask questions. Please ask all questions prior to auction closing. If you want to know more about the truck, please email me with your number and I'll call you. Xcar drives Jaguar C-X75, other Spectre villains of 007
Thu, Oct 29 2015James Bond returns to US theaters very soon in Spectre, and with the action-packed film wrapped, the producers are lending out the keys to some of the movie's automotive stars. We've already seen Jay Leno behind the wheel of Bond's Aston Martin DB10. Now, Xcar's Alex Goy has taken a turn in some of the flick's villainous rides from Jaguar Land Rover, including a very special Jaguar C-X75. The crew from JLR's Special Vehicle Operations team certainly did an impressive job of giving the movies baddies some appropriately nefarious rides. To challenge Bond, they turned the Land Rover Defender into a beast with chunky, off-road tires and blinding-spot lights. They also made the Range Rover Sport SVR even more diabolical than normal with a blacked-out look and LED lightbar. Of course, the king of Spectre's villain cars is the C-X75. According to Goy, most of the ones in the movie use the company's 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, but two are actually original prototypes with the hybrid setup. He gets to drive one of those special examples in this clip. While limited to some low-speed cruising, the coupe still looks wonderfully menacing on the road. Related Video:

Making 750 horsepower, 774 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 161 miles per hour, punching the accelerator will surely throw you back in your seat. In fact, its 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds matches that of the quickest Porsche 911 ever made, the Turbo S. The difference between this Taycan Turbo S and that 911 Turbo S, of course, is that the only reason youÂ’ll ever need to stop off at a gas station is to fill up on snacks. That and the fact the Taycan doesn't actually have a turbo anywhere in the car. We wouldnÂ’t be reaching for a bag of FlaminÂ’ Hot Cheetos, though, because this incredibly comfortable leather interior is immaculate, and weÂ’d hope to keep it that way. Enter here for a chance to win this prize worth $220,000. Win a Himalaya Land Rover Defender 110 EV and $20,000 - Enter Here The Land Rover Defender is an icon: an intense, luxurious off-roader that turns heads and can crawl up nearly anything. The problem? For the past 20+ years it hasn't been available in the United States and it's never been what youÂ’d call environmentally friendly. But this Defender is different. ItÂ’s vintage, restored by Himalaya and itÂ’s all-electric. At 275 horsepower, you wonÂ’t be thrown back in your seat, but the 406 lb-ft of torque helps make this an incredibly capable rock crawler.
Jaguar Land Rover to cut workforce by 2,000 in push toward electric future
Thu, Feb 18 2021Jaguar Land Rover said on Wednesday it would cut 2,000 jobs from its global salaried workforce, just days after announcing its luxury Jaguar brand will be entirely electric by 2025 and e-models of its entire lineup will be launched by 2030. "The full review of the Jaguar Land Rover organization is already under way," the company said in an emailed statement. "We anticipate a net reduction of around 2,000 people from our global salaried workforce in the next financial year," it said. However, it added that the organizational review did not impact hourly paid, manufacturing employees. JLR, owned by India's Tata Motors, said earlier that its Land Rover brand will launch six fully electric models over the next five years, with the first in 2024. Known for its iconic, high-performance E-Type model in the 1960s and 1970s, Jaguar faces the same challenges as many other carmakers as it transitions to electric vehicles while trying to retain the feeling and power of a luxury combustion engine model. Last month, Tata Motors said it was concerned by semiconductor shortages and Brexit-related supply disruptions as its luxury car sales recover, although the Indian automaker added these had not yet hit production. Tata Motors posted three straight quarters of losses as the COVID-19 crisis dented sales, exacerbating uncertainties over Britain's exit from the European Union, weak demand and rising costs, but had bounced back to clock a profit in its third quarter to the end of December. The 2,000 reduction in JLR's non-factory jobs was reported earlier on Wednesday by Sky News.
