If you are looking at this listing, you know what this is. This is a one of a kind 1994 land rover discovery with a clean California title with the fuel type "D". You guessed it, the "D" stands for diesel. I purchased this vehicle already converted and am still blown away at how they managed to do it. It is a SMOG EXEMPT rover, so you can so whatever your heart desires to it! Heres a little run down on the rover-
2.8l 4jb1t isuzu turbo diesel mated to factory zf automatic electric fan conversion(but have original mechanical fan and shroud that comes with it) brand new dunlop 245/75/16 tires land rover factory steel wheels dual sunroofs manual cloth interior new timing belt,drive belts,fuel filter,full injection pump seal and gasket kit and several oil filters are included with the sale comes with tons of spare parts including a rare 1995 range rover "softdash" to swap the existing dash(has the usual lifting,but covered by a dash mat) for an even more one off look. transmission,transfer box and both diffs just services with royal purple less than 100 miles ago. new optima yellowtop deep cycle battery seven seater rust free california rover Like I said before, if you are reading this, you know exactly how rare and how desired a diesel land rover really is. Its in great shape for its age. Runs and drives great. The headliner doesnt sag, but isnt perfect, the paint would look fantastic with a cut and buff and there is a crack in the windshield. All the windows work great, but one of the suroofs(front) doesnt open. You can hear it working, but doesnt open. The previous owner wired the ac compressor to a separate switch and works, but I dont think the ac was recharged after the diesel conversion. Although this is listed at "or best offer", I am only somewhat flexible on price as I know this California diesel Discovery will sell itself. Jaguar Land Rover in talks for Southern US factory
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Jaguar Land Rover is getting serious about global expansion, and that means it can't only build its vehicles in the UK anymore. The British automaker is cutting the ribbon at its new plant in China tomorrow, marking the opening of its first factory outside the UK. In 2016, it will open another factory in Brazil. But the latest intel has it that JLR is looking into a US factory, as well.
The report, which comes to us from the Sunday Times by way of Automotive News Europe, indicates that the company is evaluating locations for a North American factory, with options centering around Southern right-to-work states like South Carolina, where BMW operates its plant in Spartanburg and a wide array of other automotive operations are based as well. The JLR plant would reportedly ramp up to a capacity of 200,000 units per year.
In related news, while that new plant JLR is inaugurating in Changshu, China, is initially slated to produce the Range Rover Evoque, it is also expected to start building the new Discovery Sport as well - just like the Halewood plant in the UK that has handled Evoque assembly from the start and which just built its first Discovery Sport, as well.

While the video might lack the show's charismatic hosts, this is an opportunity to see a drag race between a Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR with 550 horsepower and a Hennessey VelociRaptor with 623 hp. The duel between these two supercharged V8s definitely sounds great. Both rugged models start at the line growling angrily at each other like dogs ready for a fight. You have to watch the clip to see whether the more powerful VelociRaptor feeds on the SVR, though.
