Up for sale is an ultra rare 25th Anniversary Range Rover.  It is in great shape, but has some issues I'll highlight below.  I'm no mechanic, but I'll walk through all of the positives and negatives of this vehicle as far as I know.  I'll try to cover what I know but I would recommend getting a mechanic to look at this vehicle before purchasing.

Details
- 212k miles
- Converted to springs
- I think I am the 3rd owner
- Genuine 25th Anniversary Edition model.  Inflation adjusted, this vehicle was about $110k new and is super rare.  Only about 250 were sold.

Pro's
- Very nice interior for age
- Body looks good, very few dings
- Paint looks to be recent and it looks good (rear lower tailgate and roof look like original paint, but you can't tell unless you get close)
- Upper tailgate is in great shape, no rust and opens easily
- I believe I have most, if not all the records for this vehicle.  A large stack of papers.  Probably 10's of thousands of dollars invested into maintenance and repairs.
- Wood is in very good shape compared to most Range Rovers I have seen.

Con's
- SRS light is on.  I believe it is from the spiral cassette because you can hear something plastic when you turn the steering wheel.  Good news is I have another spiral cassette.
- Anti-lock brake light is on.  Good news is I have 4 ABS sensors that will come with the vehicle that should take care of the problem.
- Radio is upgraded to a DVD player with backup camera with iphone charger.  I don't know how to work it very well, and was planning on installing a stock radio which I will include with the sale.
- Drivers seat has some cracks in the leather
- Ding in the rear tailgate (see pics).
- Driver's seat power controls don't work, but I do have a computer that came out of a working classic.
- Small crack in rear tailights.

My plan was to fix it up and keep it, so I started acquiring all the parts.  Unfortunately, I don't have time and will have to sell it "as is" with all the parts. I will do my best updating this ad as I remember things.  I am also selling this vehicle locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.  Thanks!  Email me with questions.

County LWB:

25th anniversary model25th Anniversary Model:
A limited edition of 250 (Original LRNA brochures stated 200, but LRNA later reported selling 250) based on the County LWB.  It was introduced in June of 1994 and cost $1,000 more than a standard LWB.  They all had Aspen Silver Metallic paint and Ash Gray Connolly leather with Dark Granite piping, TWR five spoke wheels with sparkle silver finish, embossed 25th Anniversary logo on the front head rests and a 25th Anniversary Edition badge on the tailgate.  Some of the 250 25th Anniversary models were sold in Canada.

On Apr-30-13 at 17:43:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

There is a small 1" crack in the windshield.  Also, there is an aftermarket alarm system installed but I never plugged it in or tried it.  I have just been using the locks.  The stereo has bluetooth and plays DVD's.

SVR plans to tune electrified Jaguar-Land Rover models, but not the I-Pace

Sun, May 24 2020

Jaguar-Land Rover's SVR division has only put its name on high-horsepower gasoline-burning cars, like the XE Project 8 built in strictly limited numbers. It's open to the idea of tuning electrified models, whether they're electric or hybrid, but it confirmed it's not currently planning on making a spicier evolution of the I-Pace. "We will be developing electrified versions of our cars, be that fully electrified or plug-in hybrids," affirmed Michael van der Sande, the division's managing director, in an interview with Auto Express. But although the electric I-Pace (pictured) raced in a one-make race series held on the sidelines of Formula E events for two seasons, and SVR could credibly claim to inject track DNA into a street car, it stressed the I-Pace doesn't appear in its product plans for reasons that remain a little bit murky. Jaguar announced the end of the eTrophy series in May 2020, which might explain why it's reluctant to exploit racing's marketing power. "There are other various things we are working on which we can't talk about, but we're very interested in electrification. That's why we got involved in eTrophy," van der Sande clarified. "The technology transfer, the learning applies to that car and other cars but we're not planning an SVR I-Pace at the moment." His comments confirm we'll need to be patient to see what SVR's take on an electric or hybrid car looks like. One of the first electrified models to receive the go-fast treatment might be the next-generation XJ tentatively scheduled to make its debut before the end of 2020. It will be exclusively electric, though it won't look as radical as the I-Pace, so Jaguar will need to find a way to replace the hot-rodded XJR 575 model it positioned at the top of the last-generation model's line-up. It's not too far-fetched to speculate the next Range Rover also due out in the coming months will receive some degree of electrification, and it could spawn an SVR-tuned model, too. Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.

10 best new car deals in late September 2021

Wed, Sep 29 2021

New car sales were drastically affected in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but things started to show signs of recovery toward the end of the year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Now there's an ongoing shortage of microchips causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. That doesn't mean there aren't still great deals on new cars, though. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for September 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
