1995 Land Rover, Range Rover County Lwb. on 2040-cars
Golden, Colorado, United States
This is a low mileage (85K), 1995
Land Rover, Range Rover County LWB. Avalon Blue This was the last year of the classic style, the only year with the
“Soft Dash”. This well-loved Rover was used as a daily driver. It was a bucket list
car for me and always the one that I wanted. This car has been a joy to own.
The only reason for the sale is that the family needs more room. Previous owner
was from Aspen, and this was his car for his vacation home. VERY well taken care
of and always well maintained. NO RUST Colorado car. MECHANICAL: The 3.9L
engine is very good shape, with proper maintenance over the years. It does not
smoke or burn oil. It has great pickup and the transmission shifts seamlessly. I
have lots of the receipts for the work done. - New

radiator - Coil over
conversion with 2”higher springs. - Swivel
ball Overhaul and seals replaced. - Transfer
Case replaced - Cap,

frame rust. NO rust along the door jams or door bottoms. - Tires
have 80% or more tread. - There
are small scattered dings and dents, but nothing unsightly. INTERIOR: - The
Sorrell leather is in very good shape. No cracks in any of the leather both
front and back. - The front

along the dash and driver's side door trims are in good shape. The center
console and passenger side has some cracks in the wood. In summary,
you are getting a very nice truck, which is getting rarer to find in the shape
it’s in. While not perfect, it will continue to provide years of motoring
bliss. It is NOT new, so be realistic in your expectations and you will not be
disappointed. As with any car or truck of this age, driving it cross country
would be at your own risk If you
have any questions regarding any aspect of the vehicle please feel free to
email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. This vehicle will not be perfect. Please expect the
vehicle to have defects, and or wear and tear appropriate from use and age. Vehicle
is sold as is, where is, without warranty. Shipping is the responsibility of
the winner. Again, thank you for looking and hope this one finds a great new home......

Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]
Mon, 21 Jul 2014For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.
UK electric motor maker YASA expands production 50-fold for EVs
Thu, Feb 1 2018LONDON — British electric motor manufacturer YASA said on Thursday it was increasing its production capacity from 2,000 to 100,000 units with a new factory to tap into growing demand from carmakers for greener technologies. Automakers are racing to build greener vehicles and improve charge times in a bid to meet rising customer demand and air quality targets but Britain lacks sufficient manufacturing capacity, an area the government is building up. Last year, the government picked a site in central England to house a new automotive battery development facility, which will develop the processes required to manufacture the latest battery advancements. On Thursday, YASA, based near the English city of Oxford, said it had raised another 15 million pounds ($21 million) as part of its expansion. "Our customers are looking to adopt innovative new technologies such as YASA's axial-flux electric motors and controllers in order to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding hybrid and pure electric automotive market," said Chief Executive Chris Harris. The firm exports 80 percent of production and has worked with companies including Britain's two biggest carmakers Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan as well as Aston Martin. JLR will decide this year whether to build electric cars in its home market, previously citing factors such as pilot testing and support from science and government as pre-requisites. All-electric Jaguar XJ coming soon on platform shared with 'Road Rover'
Mon, Jun 24 2019We've been posting on the likelihood of electric Jaguars for a while now, especially the XJ leading the charge as a new EV flagship. Rumors at the beginning of 2018 predicted an XJ EV on our doorstep by the end of 2018, the 50th anniversary year of the XJ. By April this year, it was looking like the battery-powered XJ would use the I-Pace platform and make an appearance sometime in 2019. Now, Automotive News Europe reports that during Jaguar Land Rover's Investor's Day presentations, the automaker said it would debut a "large SUV and a large premium sedan" on its Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) suitable for EVs, hybrids and traditional ICE-powered cars. The sedan in question is the next-gen XJ. Nick Rogers, JLR's product engineering boss, said electric MLA vehicles will get 90.2-kWh batteries that return range of up to 400 kilometers (292 miles) on the European cycle. That would effectively be the same size battery as the I-Pace, which rides on its own one-off platform, and the same range; in the U.S., the I-Pace is rated at 234 miles. It's said the XJ's design, produced by former Jaguar design chief Ian Callum and his team, has already been cleared. It swaps the four-door body for a five-door, a la the Audi A7, and introduces a new design language for the car and the carmaker. Car and Driver says the new statement sedan aims to be "a cutting-edge alternative to the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class," and Autocar saying it will "remain Jaguar's flagship in preference to a large SUV, such as the rumored J-Pace." The point of introducing the EV first is to establish the car's technology and sporting credentials — hopefully before the Porsche Taycan and Audi E-Tron GT arrive. Eventually, an ICE version of the XJ powered by an Ingenium inline-six should come; that will welcome buyers not ready to make the all-EV switch, a necessary move in keeping with the XJ's competition for global sales with the S-Class and 7 Series. However, leaving room in the design for a conventional drivetrain will force compromises that the all-electric competition doesn't face. Production of the current XJ ends at the Castle Bromwich facility on July 5. The new sedan is slated to be "announced in the near future" and built at JLR's plant in Solihull, which assembles Land Rover products. The same MLA platform will support a road-focused Land Rover as a sibling to the XJ, dubbed the "Road Rover" internally.
