1994 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER County Classic This SUV has Automatic Transmission, Power Brakes, Leather, Fog lights, Grill Guard, Power windows, Power door locks, Wood Kit, Power Sunroof LOW miles for a vehicle of its age under 122K Engine is in Good Shape, nice deep rumble. Transmission feels Perfect, shifts without any problems, without delay, and without noise. The exterior is in Excellent shape for a 1994. . The clear coat is peeling but the paint looks good NO RUST. Interior in pretty good condition and clean. Leather Seats in show wear and cracks but not rips or tears, Carpet Floor good condition few spots, thick rubber floor mats in good condition. Some of the wood panel has chips and cracks in the clear coat, dash and paneling in good condition. Headliner in good shape and all power window including sunroof works flawless. Small (dime size) crack in windshield. Locking mechanism has been removed from the back window hatch it closes but is not able to be "locked" due to the fact that the door key is missing. The stereo is not hooked up to speakers right now....also includes the original in dash stereo, with the five disc changer although functionality is questionable. Brand NEW Optima battery 4 New Tires that are on chrome dipped rims although the chrome is peeling, and chrome bumpers Had regular basic maintenance. BMW X6 M said to lap the 'Ring in 8:20
Fri, Jul 17 2015Bimmer Today reports that the German rag Auto Zeitung ran an Audi RS3 and a BMW X6 M around the Nurburgring together, and the hotted-up sports activity vehicle came in just five seconds behind the white-hot hatch. Driven by 'Ring regular Horst von Saurma, the RS3 ran its lap in 8 minutes, 15 seconds, and the X6 M ran an 8:20. If those times are accurate, that makes the X6 M the second fastest production SUV on the lap-time list according to Wikipedia: ahead of it is the 550-hp Range Rover Sport SVR, which ran a time of 8:14. That time puts BMW's 575-horsepower, 5,200-pound SUV four seconds ahead of the time registered by the last-gen, 555-hp X6 M, and well ahead of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S that Sport Auto clocked an 8:34 with. It would not, however, match the predictions that X6 M project manager Herbert Bayerl made for it in an interview with Sport Auto earlier this year. Bayerl said "The new BMW X6 M moves at the level of M3," speaking of the E92 BMW M3 that Sport Auto ran around the 'Ring in 8:05. It is, though, two seconds faster than the E46 M3, which lapped in 8:22. Bayerl called out the Range Rover Sport SVR directly, saying, "We have been traveling much faster in testing and have undercut the time of Range Rover several times," and "We don't need any special attachments to go faster." Auto Zeitung's report on the lap is only for subscribers so we'll have to wait for more official news. For the apples-to-apples comparison we'll be looking forward to Sport Auto's hot lap, then we'll know if the Range Rover has anything to fear. Related Video:
Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.
