2004 Land Rover Discovery Se - Chawton White - 74k - Excellent Condition on 2040-cars
Oak Ridge, New Jersey, United States
2004 Land Rover Discovery SE in Chawton White 4.6L V8 True Full Time 4WD with Center Locking Differential (exclusive to 2004 model year). Dual Sunroof Leather Interior with Black Piping 6CD Changer Heated Seats This truck is packed with amenities! Great driving truck with unmistakable road presence. These trucks are notorious for some common problems, head gaskets, front driveshaft failure, ACE pump failure. Head gaskets were replaced at ~60k Front driveshaft was just replaced as preventative maintenance (with grease fittings and spicer u-joints) ACE Pump has been deleted! This is a costly item to replace and to remove, all the lines, pump, electronics associated with it have been removed. Brakes have been replaced in the last 5,000 miles. (front and rear) BRAND NEW Nitto tires with less than 1,000 miles. (Terra Grapplers - best overall On/Off - road tires on the market - over $1,000 for tires and road force balance/installation) 60k service was performed and at 72,000 miles the truck was converted over to full Amsoil synthetics. There are absolutely ZERO leaks on this Discovery! Something very hard to find on a Land Rover! I love this truck and hate to get rid of her but I need a pickup. This is a 3rd car so I usually drive it on the weekends, for fishing trips or with a small 5x8 trailer to motocross events. The car is very clean, has a clean/clear title and clean/clear carfax. The VIN is SALTY19494A840210. These cars are UNSTOPPABLE. With proper care they will go 200+k. Here is your chance to own quite possibly the most mechanically sound Discovery on the market today. 2 items of concern: 1 - Front bumper has a small crack in it. This is common issue as the bumper is plastic but never annoyed me enough to replace it. Purely cosmetic and small. See pictures. 2 - There are NO check engine lights, but the ABS light is on. The front passenger ABS sensor is faulty. I dislike ABS so I never looked into fixing it. Feel free to contact me to arrange a time to see/drive the vehicle. Feel free to bring your mechanic. NO Low ballers. This is a rare combination and has been meticulously maintained. Not to mention one of the lowest mileage Discovery's on the market. Don't miss this opportunity. Tesla layoffs, new safety mandates, and a bumper crop of V12s! | Autoblog Podcast #830
Fri, May 3 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for a gasoline-powered installment. They lead off by diving into the Tesla layoff news from this week before leaving electrification behind for a bit to talk about not one, but two production V12 unveilings. This isn't a drill, folks; Aston Martin and Ferrari are both committed. After that, they touch on the U.S. government announcement that it would mandate automatic emergency braking systems starting in 2029. They finish up the news segment with a chat about Fisker. Poor, poor Fisker. From there, it's on to the road tests. The Autoblog team has been testing out some EVs and both Byron and Greg had some thoughts to share, plus we get a final update from Byron on the long-term Subaru WRX and some notes from both drivers about the updated Range Rover Evoque. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
