First, the car is 1988 NOT 1980, I had to do this because VIN number didn't go through on Ebay.
This Land Rover 110 is all original and imported last April. It passed Customs without any problem and now has a clear Michigan title.
This Land Rover spent most of its life in Saudi Arabia hence there is no rust on the car. Bulkhead, A- , B- and C- pillar and foot wells are all original and not rusty. Also the undersides of the doors are in perfect condition The frame has never been welded.
It has an original factory installed, working air conditioner.
The mileage is 84.454 km's (approx. 50.000 miles). I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the odometer but given the condition of the car, I can imagine it would be correct.
Mechanical
- factory installed air conditioner, refilled and repaired in Nov 2011 for around $ 1,300
 - carburaters overhauled earlier this year by a Land Rover specialist
 - new plugs, coil, cables etc. in January of this year
 - I have an invoice stating the gearbox and clutch cylinders have been overhauled in 2008
 - engine runs very nice, always starts on the first try
 - power steering works well, loosing a drop of oil though
 - second gear sometimes is difficult to engage
 - 5 speed transmission
 - horn isn't working (most likely I will fix that one of these days)
 - BRAND new Michelin tires and rims (5x)

Body
- No rust !!!
 - original paint !!
 - nice paint but a little faded on the wheel wells
 - dent in the left quarter panel
 - occasional small dents throughout the body. Nothing serious but if you expect a car in perfect, A1 condition this is not the car for you
 - I have a roofrack with it. This is homemade and I didn't like it so took it off. The buyer can have it if he wants
 - Where the roofrack was attached to the roof there are some paint scratches and also where it attached to the hinges of the windsheeld there is corrosion on the hinges.

Interior
- generally in good condition
 - new seat covers on front seat and rear bench seat
 - right now there is only one side rear bench installed, the second one comes with it
 - carpet looks nice but is homemade.
 - drivers seat has tear in the cover
 - radio and speakers are installed but not working

Frame
- never welded
 - body coated as shown in most pictures
 - I have pictures from before the body coat, so you can see there is no rust.

Extras:
- as said, the buyer can have the roofrack (and ladder) if he wants but don't expect a fancy one.
 - ABS air compressor installed in the back of the car. (and working)
 - airbags for rear springs (not currently installed)
 - radio and 4 speakers installed but not working
 - cubybox slightly damaged
 - Stainless steel fuel tank
 - spare wheel carrier

If you are looking for a nice, reliable 110, this could be the one for you.
You are more than welcome to inspect and drive it. I live 30 minutes away form Grand Rapids, MI (GRR) airport and can pick you up from there.
I maintain the right to end this auction early as I have also listed it elsewhere.

Jaguar tests autonomous vehicle technology with 100-car fleet
Wed, Jul 13 2016Jaguar Land Rover is exploring how to take autonomous vehicle technology off the paved path. But the company has plans for technology on tarmac, too. The company announced that the Jaguar division will have a fleet of 100 cars testing autonomous technologies on public roads. The testing process will cover a period of four years and begin with vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication systems, along with a stereo camera system and autonomous vehicle software. These systems will work together to provide a variety of features that could make their way into future Jaguars and Land Rovers. The first feature in development is called "Roadwork Assist." The system relies on the stereo camera to create a 3D image the car's software can analyze. The software can identify road cones and other barriers associated with construction sites. The car will then alert the driver about entering the construction zone and provide some steering assistance to keep the car centered in its lane. Tony Harper, Jaguar's head of research, said that this system can reduce stress on the driver, and the technology could eventually be used to allow the car to pilot itself through construction zones. Another of Jaguar's proposed features is "Safe Pullaway," which also relies on cameras and software. The Safe Pullaway feature is designed to prevent close-proximity collisions in traffic jams and even in the garage. To do this, the car watches the area immediately ahead of it for obstacles. If the car detects something nearby while the driver adds throttle or shifts into gear, it will apply the brakes to prevent driving into the object. The final project on Jaguar's plate is its "Over the Horizon Warning" system. This will be one of the first features to rely on Jaguar's vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology. The idea is that connected cars in constant communication will give drivers additional warning of upcoming hazards, such as out-of-sight animals and slowed or stopped cars. In Jaguar's example of a stopped car, the stationary vehicle would send a signal alerting approaching cars of the situation. In turn, the approaching vehicles would trigger audible and visual warnings to drivers about the hidden car. Jaguar says that the system could also be applied to emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles would broadcast a signal to alert drivers well before the lights and sirens get their attention. This would give emergency vehicles a faster, safer path through traffic.
2016 Jaguar F-Type R at Monticello | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 27 2016This week we indulged in a bit of fun. We took one of our favorite sports cars, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type to Monticello Motor Club north of New York. Senior Editor Greg Migliore selected the 550-horsepower R variant and pushed this Jag to the limit at one of North America's prettiest tracks. He reveled in the supercharged V8's power and sound as he embraced Monticello's curves and long straightaways. Meanwhile, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski had a similar experience. Kind of. He lapped Monticello in the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and then went off-roading at a challenging course nearby. It's the best of both worlds. He gets to soak in the blown V8 – but also gets to splatter a little mud. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Jaguar Land Rover Driving Off-Road Vehicles Videos VR Original Video virtual reality 360video
Jaguar Land Rover backs Arc startup that sells $100,000 electric motorcycles
Wed, Nov 7 2018Before it even put its first motorcycle on the road, new startup Arc reeled in a major player to back its ambitious product plan. In conjunction with the reveal of the fully electric Vector superbike at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori ( EICMA) show in Milan, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) announced it is placing capital in Arc, using JLR's investment company InMotion Ventures. Arc claims the Vector is the first all-electric motorcycle with integrated Human Machine Interface (HMI) to come to market. Arc, not to be confused with Keanu Reeve's Arch motorcycle company, has a pretty typical mission statement: "To use progressive design and technology to transform people's relationship with an automative experience. For us, for you, for our planet." At the core, Arc wants to make connected, clean, exclusive superbikes, and the Vector is its first try. Although Arc didn't get into the nitty gritty details about the make-up of the bike, it did give some surface specs and information. The bike's structure is built using a carbon composite to create a "unique Arc battery monocoque." Weight is also kept low using carbon fiber swing arms. There is no mention of the size or type of electric powertrain, but Arc claims it will have a highway range of about 120 miles or a city range of 170 miles on a single charge. Arc says it will be able to sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 124 mph. Stopping power comes from a Brembo brake system, while ride and handling relies on Ohlins dampers. The launch does not stop at the motorcycle, but includes gear, as well. The Vector links up with a jacket and a helmet for a fully connected experience. Partnering with U.K.-based impact protection design company Knox, Arc created the Arc Pilot System. Using audio, the armored Origin riding jacket provides haptic feedback based on numerous riding inputs to help keep the driver safe and aware. Furthermore, Arc linked up with luxury helmet maker Hedon to build the WiFi-connected Zenith helmet that houses an integrated projection heads-up display. In addition to showing things such as speed or battery life of the bike, the helmet uses a built-in rear camera to display other vehicles in the rider's blind spots. The rider can command the system using controls on the bike or via voice commands.
