FAQ'S

1) How Much Does Shipping To The USA Cost - Shipping to the East Coas (Brunswick, Charleston, Baltimore, New York etc) is $2100 USD and to the West is $2600

2) Will The Vehicle Pass US Customs Clearance - I have now exported over 50 Landrovers to the United States and have not had an issue with any of them. As long as the vehicle is over 25 years old and has the original engine and chassis with matching numbers on the VIN plate and UK title everything is guaranteed to be accepted. All my vehicles are checked by myself to ensure everything is correct.

3) Why Should I Buy One From Overseas And Not One Already In The USA - These Landrovers are very expensive in the USA. From me they will take 20-28 days to arrive but you will be getting your Landy at a significant saving.

4) Can You Help With The Shipping Process - Yes no problem at all, I can arrange everything. I have my own transport company who will deliver the vehicle to the UK docs. I have an account with Wallenius Wilhelmsen who handle all my shipping on a regular basis.

5) I Am Worried About Sending Money Overseas - Any transaction with myself is secure, confidential and safe. I am a registered trader and hold a business account in my name. I can provide proof of these for peace of mind along with contact details and addresses etc. I also have many testimonials from US customers whom I regularly supply

If you have any other concerns why not speak to me in person :-)

Hi and welcome to my advert for this original 1984 Landrover Defender 90 pickup truck in a green colour. The Landrover has covered a low 96,000 miles and has the 2.5 diesel engine which is linked to a 5 speed manual transmission. It is a permanent four wheel drive vehicle and has 5 months of the UK MOT yearly safety test remaining. This is an unrestored original that is ready to be used and appreciated.

The Landrover is very solid in all the usual weak areas. The bulkheas is in good shape as you can see from the images. Similarly, the door frames are in good shape along with the floor pans. There are many images of the chassis at the bottom of the listing so please take a look throught them. There are the usual odd little dings in the body but this is what these Landrovers are about. The paint is finished in green and it looks like it has been hand painted at some point. The finish is presentable but not of showroom quality which again in my opinion is how these Landrovers should be. The tyres are all good and they are of an off road nature.

The interior is in good condition. The 3 front seats that are finished in a leather/vinyl material are in good shape with no wear or rips at all. They are very comfortable yet supportive at the same time. The door cards are in good shape and are nicely secured to the doors. The dashboard is in good shape apart from in the middle where you can see where a stereo has once been. The roof is nice and clean. All seat belts work and the doors lock as they ought to. The wind windows all work without fault.

Mechanically the Landrover is superb and I cannot fault it. The engine has all been rebuilt recently and runs nice and quietly for a diesel. The engine itself is a 2.5 diesel which is couple to a 5 speed manual transmission. The Landrover will cruise up to 70 mph meaning that it can cope with Freeway driving if needed. The gearbox is excellent and is nice and quiet. The clutch etc are all good. There are no nasty noises and the truck drives very nicely indeed and is very fun to drive. The great thing about these Landrovers are along with being the best 4x4 in the World it will achieve 30 mpg upwards and better than this, it will put a smile on your face. The heaters all work as they ought to.

Land Rover planning SVX hardcore off-roaders

Sun, May 3 2015

The new Special Vehicle Operations division at Jaguar Land Rover has already given us an array of ultimate wheeled creations, but it isn't quite done yet. Next, according to Car and Driver, will be a new line of SVX models. Not to be confused with the Subaru coupe from the 1990s (which also had all-wheel drive, come to think of it), Land Rover's SVX models will be hardcore off-roaders. Details are few and far between at the moment, but they're said to take inspiration from rough-terrain events like the Dakar Rally and Camel Trophy as inspiration – different from the Ford F-150 Raptor that takes its cues from the Baja 1000. Last we heard, Land Rover was planning a hardcore Defender to send the model off to pasture in high-performance style, and considering an extreme Range Rover as well. If either of those rumors materialize, they look like they'd be prime candidates for the SVX line. JLR Special Vehicle Operations has already showcased what it can do with the high-performance Range Rover Sport SVR, the luxed-up Range Rover SVAutobiography, the exclusive F-Type Project 7 and the continuation classic Lightweight E-Type. C/D confirms that further SVR models are in store to replace Jaguar's R-S performance models, while the SVX line would likely remain exclusive to Land Rover.

Jaguar Land Rover to drop supercharged V8 for turbocharged BMW power

Wed, Jul 27 2016

There are few things that sound as good as Jaguar's 5.0 liter supercharged V8. As great as it is when the supercharger whines or the exhaust cracks and pops on throttle lift-off as the air pressure equalizes, the basic design dates back to the '90s. Plainly, the engine isn't as efficient as it needs to be, but designing a new V8 from the ground up is an expensive proposition. Instead, Automobile reports that Jaguar Land Rover is set to use a twin-turbocharged V8s supplied by BMW. Scalable architecture is all the rage as automakers streamline designs in order to save costs. For example, Jaguar's current supercharged V6 is quite literally a V8 with two holes missing. They didn't even change the length of the block. It seems both of those designs are on their way out, with the V6 being replaced by a inline-six closely related to the company's inline four. It seems that rather than designing an new and expensive V8 for their top of the line models JLR, is sourcing from BMW. From 1994 to 2000, BMW owned Land Rover. A few models, including the Land Rover Range Rover, used BMW engines then and in the initial years of Ford's JLR stewardship. It seems things have now come full circle. BMW currently makes a twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 that produces anywhere from 440 to 600 horsepower, depending on the application. Automobile says that a new 4.0 liter V8 is in the works and that it will most likely be the engine that JLR uses. Expect it to be more powerful, more fuel efficient, and lighter than what both BMW and JLR currently offer. This seems like a win for both companies. BMW gets to offset the cost of a new motor while JLR, a smaller company, doesn't have to invest in a whole new architecture. As automakers search for ways to cut costs, expect collaborations like this to continue. Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz both share a four-cylinder engine. Ford and GM have worked together to design a shared 10-speed automatic. While we may lament the loss of that wonderful Jaguar Land Rover engine, we can still be happy that they haven't abandoned the V8. Is Jaguar's 3 Series-fighter the brand's last chance?

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

The upcoming line of compact 3 Series-fighters from Jaguar, often referred to as the Jaguar XS, could consist of a sedan, wagon and possibly a coupe and GT model (think BMW 5 Series GT). The car's all-aluminum architecture also will provide the basis for two new sports utility vehicles. Just how important is the much-touted "baby Jag" project to parent company Jaguar Land Rover? A JLR executive reportedly says the brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS, codenamed X760, Autocar reports.
The brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS.
"If the X760 fails, it will probably be the end for the [Jaguar] brand," the executive says. But Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, claims Jaguar will "build the most advanced, most efficient, most refined car in that [compact luxury sedan] segment. Not almost as good as, but better than the best in the world."
