2008 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
Up for sale is my personally owned Lamborghini Murcielago LP640! Was a dream to own one of these cars since I was a little boy, and I finally got one! To say the least, the car is everything that I could ever imagine, and more. Beautiful lines, race-car like steering, and unbelievable power! Truly a dream come true. However, work calls, and now after a very short time of ownership, I have to sell her. After spending years of researching these vehicles, and about a year and a half of ownership(and 2000 miles behind the wheel), I have to sell her off. I am the second owner of the car, previously owned by an older professional gentleman in California who purchased the car from O'gara Coach Works new in 2008(dealer information regarding the car is available, however, you must contact me first). Just prior to making this purchase of a lifetime in August of 2011, the car went through the Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned extensive inspection and the warranty was extended for another two years!(a huge purchasing point for me, and now a huge selling point as well. This is nearly a $10k investment and can give you peace of mind that Lamborghini will stand behind their workmanship for another two years; ending this summer though.) This is something that "must" be considered in price comparison with other vehicles, seeing most other cars of this vintage do not have a warranty.
Other details about the car are pretty straight forward. The exterior color is Grigio Telesto, the interior is black with yellow stitching. The floor mats are nice custom $1200 units that can easily be removed. Radio is stock and includes all the features you can imagine; however, I never listen to the radio seeing the sound of the engine is a bit more appealing to me. Engine and drive-train maintenance was just performed 2000 miles ago, and the oil and filter were changed last week, so you have plenty of time before it needs to make a visit to the shop. Tires have a lot of life left and rims are all in perfect condition. Bottom line is the car is simply awesome! Still has the new car smell, and is flawless! I personally appreciate craftsmanship, and this car more than impresses me! And if you want looks, you get more looks from passer-by's than you can imagine. Please feel free to contact me via email and if you would like to discuss the details of the car over the phone I will openly share my phone number, just please a serious potential buyer.
Thank you,
Chris

Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, the Lamborghini rally car we didn't know we wanted
Tue, Jun 4 2019Usually, the answer to a question no one asked is a bad thing. But every now and then, it leads to something wonderful, like the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato concept car you see above. It's Lamborghini's take on a rally version of the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO, and it's something we weren't asking for but now desperately want. The Sterrato (translation: "dirt") is mostly a stock Huracan EVO underneath, but that's not bad with a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 making 640 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It also retains its all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and torque vectoring, but they've all been retuned for dirt and loose surfaces. To get around on rougher surfaces, Lamborghini raised the car by 1.85 inches, which the company says improves the approach angle by 1% and the departure angle by 6.5%. The Sterrato's exterior receives huge fender flares that allow for a one-inch wider track front and rear. It wears 20-inch wheels with chunky off-road tires. Aluminum skid plates have been added to the front and rear, and the rear plate doubles as a diffuser. The rocker panels also get aluminum plates for extra protection. Mud guards are fitted, too, as are little deflectors ahead of the intakes to keep rocks from flying in and doing damage. Finally, like any good rally car, it gets huge auxiliary lights with a pair of hexagonal units on the front, and a wide bar on the roof. Inside the Sterrato are a pair of carbon fiber bucket seats plus four-point racing harnesses. But the real showpiece is a full titanium roll cage. Lamborghini didn't say anything about putting the Sterrato into production. But this concept isn't particularly out there, especially compared with some of Lamborghini's concepts, so we suspect if the car gets a good enough reaction, Lamborghini might consider production. And if it doesn't, we're sure there are some aftermarket companies that would be happy to help wealthy car enthusiasts re-create the car.
Lamborghini bringing exclusive supercar to Pebble Beach
Fri, Jul 31 2015The latest rumors emanating from the House of the Raging Bull say that Lamborghini is planning another million-dollar, ultra-exclusive supercar. Lambo is tipped to bring it to Pebble Beach next month, but it won't be showing it to the general public. Lamborghini has a proud recent history of turning its flagship supercars into something even more desirable. You'll remember the Reventon that was based on the Murcielago previewed the Aventador and was offered in a limited run of 20 coupes and 15 roadsters with a seven-figure price tag. The Bolognese automaker followed up with the Veneno, an even more extreme take on the Aventador. Three coupes and nine roadsters were sold, with prices exceeding $4 million. (There was the Sesto Elemento, but that was a smaller 10-cylinder model.) According to Motor Trend, this latest creation is expected to be based on the 12-cylinder Aventador, with more adventurous styling and likely a more powerful engine. You can bet it'll be produced in small numbers and command a seven-figure price tag. Production is likely to take place at the company's dedicated prototype development center that was opened three years ago. Now if you're wondering what's the point of bringing a new car to a public show if you're not going to show it to the public, consider that the public isn't the only ones that will be in attendance for the Monterey extravaganza. Some of Sant'Agata's top clients will also be on hand, and it's to those individuals that Lamborghini will be showing its latest creation. Lambo's been known to hold private previews in the past, and cameras were not allowed the last time this writer was invited to such an event. But that concept was unveiled to the public at a major auto show the following month, so here's hoping whatever Lamborghini is bringing to Pebble Beach will find its way onto the stage in Frankfurt come September as well. Lamborghini may offer rear-drive Huracan
Wed, 20 Aug 2014Lamborghini may not offer a manual-transmission option on the new Huracán - so few customers were asking for it on the preceding Gallardo as it was - but don't think that it won't pursue ever more hardcore variants. And that will reportedly include a rear-drive version.
Speaking with journalists at the Pebble Beach unveiling of the new Huracán Super Trofeo, Lamborghini CEO Stefan Winkelmann is reported to have said, "We did it with the Gallardo so it might be an option. We are a four-wheel-drive super-sports car [manufacturer] but why should we not do a rear-drive option?"
The rear-drive Huracán would naturally shed a few pounds off the all-wheel-drive version's curb weight, but the question is just how much. There is said to have only been so much of the AWD system that Sant'Agata was able to strip out of the Gallardo to make the rear-drive Balboni edition after the fact, but if the Huracán was engineered from the get-go for both drivetrains, the rear-drive version could prove that much more thrilling to drive.
