This Lambo also has many tasteful UPGRADES including: custom made 3pc forged aluminum ADV.1 deep concave wheels made specifically for this car wrapped in the latest Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires 245/30/ZR20 front and 325/25/ZR20 rear. The ONE OFF CUSTOM exhaust system fabricated by Fluid Motor Union was designed for maximum horsepower gains with the flow through engineering. It was made to sound like an Indy car on steroids and shoot 3 foot flames safely. Computer system reads properly and the car passes emissions no problem. All supporting documentation will be provided. It's truly an amazing exhaust by looks, design, and most of all...sound. Professionally tinted windows, lenses and marker lights all around the vehicle. The stereo system is also a one off custom for maximum sound with OEM appearance. It has the largest and the FIRST 8" touch screen navigation made by Alpine. Backup camera, DVD, Nav, etc all the bells and whistles on this large screen late model unit. Also, a very discrete 10" Alpine 1,800 watt subwoofer was mounted in a custom fabricated shallow mount box between the seats to give the bass you want yet maintain a factory look. This car is in IMMACULATE condition with well pampered low miles and $$$$ invested! Lamborghini factory clear bra protector to protect the paint has been professionally installed on the front bumper, front bonnet, fenders, door sills, side skirts, & mirrors. Car has been adult driven and mostly taken to local car shows and cruises. It's been well cared for and stored in a secure garage. Very reliable car. All work professionally done. All maintenance is up to date. Car runs strong and has been well taken care of as you can see from the photos. The A/C blows ice cold. Heat works great. There are NO issues, NO accident history, and DOES have a clean Carfax. Feel free to have a certified mechanic inspect it. Best offer takes it. Vehicle sold as is and where currently located. Lamborghini teaser previews rebirth of original Countach LP500
Thu, Sep 16 2021Lamborghini's Countach revival at last month's Monterey Car Week perhaps didn't quite make the splash the company was hoping for. Many critics skewered the reskinned Sian as a retro cash grab, leaving Acura's vague announcement of a new Integra at the same time to generate far more excitement on the interwebs. Now Lamborghini's teasing the return of another Countach, but we think this one will face sunbstantially less ire. Lamborghini posted a mysterious teaser to social media yesterday, but kept coy on what exactly it was. The teaser's text merely said, "50 years ago it paved the road to the future. Now it's back on the road," accompanied by a roaring V12 soundtrack. No image of the car is actually shown, but we do get footage of craftsmen crafting a fantastic bucket seat that looks like the love child of Irving Harper and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe sofas. This is almost certainly a re-creation of the driver's perch of the original Countach LP500 concept that debuted on March 11, 1971, at the Geneva Motor Show. The yellow Gandini wedge would go into production in 1974 and sear itself into the imaginations of adolescents around the globe. However, this isn't a straightforward restoration project from Lamborghini's Polo Storico restoration center. After the show rounds, the Countach LP500 concept was used as a test mule, its 5.0-liter V12 reportedly destroyed and replaced with a four-liter closer to the production LP400's. Ultimately, according to Lamborghini, the concept gave its life in a 1974 crash test in order to homologate the production car. As the car was scrapped, it's technically not possible to restore the original. So, is Lamborghini re-creating the Countach LP500 concept? That part remains to be seen, but whatever it is, it'll likely be a better homage to the legend than the LPI800-4.
'The Cannonball Run' Lamborghini Countach now on the National Historic Vehicle Register
Wed, Aug 11 2021Just a few months ago the National Historic Vehicle Register, which documents historically significant automobiles, added the "Back to the Future" Delorean to its ranks. Now another big-time '80s movie car joins the ranks: the 1979 Lamborghini Countach from "The Cannonball Run." And in case you hadn't guessed, the film is a comedy based on the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash cross-country rally that Brock Yates organized. Funny enough, the Countach isn't really the hero car. The film's main protagonists played by Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise drive a Dodge ambulance. But the Countach still got high billing and some key shots. Not only was it on the film poster, but it got the opening scene featuring its drivers, two women in close-fitting jumpsuits. Add in its own striking looks, and it's understandable that the Lamborghini stuck in many people's minds. According to the Register's organization, the Hagerty Driver's Foundation, the car was restored in 2009 back to film specification. The car really wasn't much different from a factory model save for its various antennae, auxiliary lights and oodles of exhaust tips. The interior apparently had to be redone in the film's tan, as it had been changed to maroon at some point in its life. It doesn't have too many miles on it either at just over 16,000, and it's had three owners. The Countach joins a wide array of other automobiles from films, motorsports and elsewhere. One of the other major movie cars is the original "Bullitt" Mustang. You can find the full list, here, and the Countach will be on display at the National Mall in Washington D.C. from Sept. 24 to Sept. 30. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
