Lamborghini supercar prototype shows angry face in spy photos
Tue, Jul 5 2022Lamborghini made it clear last year that it's working on a new supercar to replace the V12-powered Aventador. And the car shown above is definitely a new Lamborghini of some sort. However, we don't think this is the Aventador replacement. Instead, we suspect this is another limited-run Aventador-based special model. The key tipoff is the greenhouse. All the glass looks just like the pieces found on the Aventador, the Countach, the Sian and plenty of other special Aventador models. Similarly, the proportions of the car match those models, too. And Lamborghini has said that its full Aventador replacement will be a completely new car with a completely new powertrain. So nothing leftover from its predecessor. There are of course styling features not shared with other Aventador-based cars, so it will still probably be a unique model. The front end has particularly angry eyebrows over the lights, and they appear to intersect with the lower grille openings. Interesting aerodynamic panels behind the windows also show up. The rear is the most distinct with high-mounted quad-exit exhaust right in line with slim taillights. Note, the "lights" lower in the rear are just printed on the camouflage. This prototype also tips us off to the powertrain. On the outside are high-voltage warning stickers. And since it seems to be a special Aventador-based model, we bet it's using the same hybrid V12 used in the Countach and Sian. Output should be around 803 horsepower, maybe a little more from the naturally aspirated V12 and a small electric motor powered by a supercapacitor. We're expecting the car will be revealed within a year, since it looks pretty far along in development, and it's based on a car whose days are numbered. We don't have a name yet, but Lamborghini recently trademarked the name Revuelto, which could be used on this model, or on that planned Aventador replacement. Watch this bright-orange Lamborghini Hurac?n shoot a commercial
Tue, 28 Jan 2014As one of the most prestigious sports car makers on the planet, Lamborghini doesn't have much of a need for commercials - the German-owned, Italian brand's cars speak for themselves. It strikes as rather odd, then, that Lambo's new Huracán was spotted zipping around a downtown area with a full camera crew in tow.
Whatever Lamborghini is up to is rather irrelevant, because this video marks one of the very first occasions where we get to see and hear the Gallardo replacement in action. This is also the first appearance of an orange Huracán that we can recall - previous examples were yellow, grey or white - and it looks quite nice in one of Lamborghini's distinctive shades. That mid-mounted V10 offers up a filthy howl that echoes off the buildings, though the sight of the Huracán as it slices through a slalom made up of dumpsters might be the only thing that can trump that raucous engine note.
As you can see below, our trusty spies managed to get some snaps of the new, mid-engined Lambo from a number of new angles. Have a look at both the video and the pics by scrolling down.
Wild Liberty Walk Lamborghini Countach revealed at Tokyo Auto Salon
Fri, Jan 12 2024Liberty Walk just loves to show up to the Tokyo Auto Salon in outrageous, heavily modified builds that stir up the hornet’s nest of opinions. For this rendition, the tuner just dropped a Liberty Walk build of the Lamborghini Countach. ItÂ’s only apt that the Japanese car builder follows its F40 revealed last year with another jewel of an Italian supercar, and this one is a serious feast for the eyes. This build isnÂ’t just meant to be a one-off either – youÂ’ll be able to buy the parts from this Liberty Walk build to make one of your own. The tunerÂ’s website lists availability for the front bumper, front diffuser, canards, side skirts, side diffusers, rear diffuser, rear wing and roof intake. No prices are made available as of today. Of course, thereÂ’s a whole lot more than that on this Liberty Walk build, but thatÂ’s a great off-the-shelf start to making your own. Unfortunately, Liberty Walk doesnÂ’t have much in the way of a description for performance modifications. There are plenty of obvious ones, though, such as a lowered suspension, the signature Liberty Walk widebody, unique wheels and tires to fill in said widebody kit and an epic quad exhaust poking out the rear. We can see some racing harnesses through the front windshield, and we wouldnÂ’t be surprised to learn that the V12 engine is making more horsepower than it did from the factory. The most Liberty Walk has to say about the build comes from the tunerÂ’s social media posts where it simply states: “We are doing whatever we want.” That right there is the best description for how Liberty Walk goes about its builds. Thought-provoking and controversial cars are its bread and butter, and while the Countach is already a thought-provoking design from the factory, thereÂ’s no doubt that Liberty Walk has taken it to another level here.
