Lamborghini to price Urus similar to Huracan
Thu, 04 Sep 2014If and when the Urus project is finally approved for production, it will take Lamborghini into not one but several new territories. For one, it will be the company's first SUV since the demise of the LM002 in 1993. It'll also be the company's first front-engined model since the demise of the Jalpa and Espada in the late '70s, and its first model to offer hybrid and turbocharged powertrains in, well... ever. Just don't expect it to be its cheapest model.
According to Motoring.com.au, in speaking with Lamborghini sales and marketing execs, the Urus "will be priced similarly to the Huracán," which is currently the Raging Bull marque's entry-level model. That doesn't mean, necessarily, that the Urus (pictured above in Beijing alongside the previous Gallardo) couldn't undercut the Huracán's price slightly - especially since it will likely offer more than one engine option - but don't expect it to come cheap.
The Huracán starts in the US for $237,250. If, as reported, the Urus commands a similar price, that would make it the most expensive SUV on the market. That is, at least, before other high-end rivals from the likes of Bentley and Maserati get into the game.
How to change the oil in a Lamborghini Huracan: carefully
Tue, Aug 7 2018There are eight oil drain plugs on the underside of the Lamborghini Huracan. And to even get to those drain plugs, 3 covers and about 50 bolts have to first be removed. Suffice it to say, then, that changing the oil in a supercar like the Huracan is a tedious process. And you won't be taking the car to your local Jiffy Lube. Royal Exotic Cars Fleet Manager Jesse Tang was recently filmed changing the oil in a Huracan that the company uses as a rental vehicle in Las Vegas. "It's kinda an expensive car for you to mess up, so ... we don't want to mess up," he says. And so Tang takes his time, checks to make sure he drains a full nine quarts of oil before buttoning everything back up and pouring fresh dino juice back inside the engine. While it's not quite as complicated or as expensive as changing the oil in a Bugatti Veyron, a drain and refill in the Lamborghini Huracan doesn't look like a job for the average backyard mechanic. But most cars are a whole heck of a lot easier to service. If you want to learn how to change the oil in your own car, we've got you covered – just watch the video down below. Watch the Lamborghini Hurac'an LP 610-4 do donuts in Project Hexagon
Sun, 22 Dec 2013Before we officially met the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 recently, and even before Autobild got to hear it start during its presentation, the Gallardo replacement had been whipped into smokey donuts in the dark of a Sant' Agata night as part of Project Hexagon. That was a four-episode series of short films that followed a trio of Brits determined to see the Huracán before its reveal. They did such a good job that they were able to play Grand Theft Auto in the Lamborghini HQ parking lot.
You'll find all four episodes below, but if you're looking for a more thrilling taste of the baby Lambo than Autobild could give us, then head straight to the final entry. Someone chose to lay a loud musical track over the revving, so try to ignore it and enjoy the 610-horsepower V10 underneath.
