The ONLY 1970 Lamborghini Espada Convertible in the WORLD!

During the late Nineties, a rather special Espada was offered for sale, this car was in fact an early 1970 Espada which was completely customized in Germany.
The car was finished in a brilliant red paint over a white leather interior, but the most striking feature was actually the fact that this car was now a convertible, during the removal of the roof section the bodyshop performing this job also redesigned the entire car, the front of the car received smaller rectangular headlights and a deep front spoiler was installed too.
The wheel arches were enlarged covering deep wheels, 345 rear tires, while side skirts were also moulded into the bodywork.

This is in fact the ONLY espada convertible in the world! it still has the original chassis and lamborghini 4.0 v12. However the previous owner had the car sitting in storage for the past 5 years. This is truly a barn find project, it will need a good going through. It was driven into the spot 5 years ago because the rear brake siezed and has sat since. The coolant was drained but not the gas, so it will need an oil change and new gas and should start up.

I reiterate, THIS IS A PROJECT most likely would need a restoration. Do not expect to drive this car out, it does not start and needs brake work. It has sat and will need someone who has the time to go through it and clean it up. Will need all the normal maintance for a car that has sat. The paint has imperfections and by no means is show ready. The paint and body are in "driver" condition. Convertible top has rips and tears around the edges, I would most likely take it off before any drives and store the car indoors. The convertible top does not line up with the body as it sits therefore will need a new top and some attention.

As it sits the car will need attention not only in the drivetrain but the body as well. It will need someone who is looking for a project to replace the top, do body work, and finish up the details of the car.

I do not have the time or resources to work on a project like this and would like to sell it to someone interested in having a very unique italian exotic.

Jay Leno's Garage gets agrarian with Lamborghini tractor

Mon, 24 Dec 2012

Stepping away from the trendy and arcane, the next guest in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1968-69 Lamborghini R485 tractor. In case there's anyone who doesn't know, the same Ferruccio Lamborghini ultimately responsible for giving us the Aventador started off making tractors in his native Italy after World War II.
The specs are a long way from anything we'd expect from the company's road-going products. The vineyard and orchard tractor has a 5.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 85 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque, a two-foot clutch and 12 forward gears that get it from 0.3 miles per hour to 14 mph. It's also got a starter motor from a Countach.
There's a whole lot more interesting info on the farm implement, the man who built it and the man who currently owns it in the episode below.

Teen Who Stole Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Receives Life Sentence

Fri, Jan 24 2014

A California man received a life sentence with possibility of parole Thursday for attempted murder and the theft of celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini. Max Wade was only 16 when he stole the $200,000 super car owned by Fieri, the Food Network star. In a carefully planned heist inspired by too many secret-agent movies, Wade repelled from the rooftop window of a San Francisco garage and stole the Lambo on March 8, 2011, according to The San Francisco Chronicle. Later, the newspaper says, Wade texted a friend that "it doesn't get any better than boosting a lambo and picking up chicks at 17." Among them was Eva Dedier, 18. After Wade flirted with her, Dedier told him she was seeing another man, Landon Wahlstrom. On April 13, 2012, Wade fired five shots into Wahlstrom's pickup truck as the couple occupied the vehicle. Wade was tried as an adult and convicted on Oct. 30, 2013. In addition to the life sentence, the judge added 21 years and four months for the premeditated use of a firearm. Wade will be eligible for parole in no less than 17 years. Lamborghini Safety murder guy fieri

Performance doesn't matter anymore, it's all about the feel

Wed, Aug 24 2022

We've just had a week of supercars and high-end EVs revealed. Many of them boast outrageous performance specs. There were multiple vehicles with horsepower in the four-figure range, and not just sports cars, but SUVs with 0-60 mph times under 3.5 seconds. And it's not just a rarified set of supercar builders, comparatively small tuners are also building this stuff. Going fast is easy nowadays and getting easier. So what will distinguish the greats from the wannabes? It's all about how a car feels. This may seem obvious. "Of course it matters that a car should have good steering feel and a playful chassis!" you say. "Why are you being paid for this stuff?" But a lot of automakers have missed the memo. This past week I spent some time in a BMW M4 Competition convertible, and it's a perfect example of prioritizing performance over experience. It boggles my mind how a company can create such dead and disconnected steering; the weight never changes, there's no feel whatsoever. The chassis is inflappable, but to a fault, because it doesn't feel like anything you're doing is difficult or exciting. The car is astoundingly fast and capable, but it feels less like driving a car and more like tapping in a heading on the Enterprise-D. I also happened to drive something of comparable performance that was much more enjoyable: a Mercedes-AMG GT. It was a basic model with the Stealth Edition blackout package, and even though it had a twin-turbo V8 instead of a six-cylinder, it only made 20 more horsepower. The power wasn't the big differentiator, it was (say it with me) the feel. While not the best example, the steering builds resistance as you dial in lock, giving you a better idea of what's happening up front. Pulses and vibrations come back to you as you move over bumpy pavement in corners. The chassis isn't quite as buttoned down, either, providing a little bit of body roll that tells you you're pushing it. It's also easier to feel when the car is wanting to understeer or oversteer, and how your throttle and steering inputs are affecting it. The whole thing is much more involving, exciting and fun. 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition View 8 Photos That's also to say nothing of the Merc's sounds. That V8 is maybe not the best sounding engine, but its urgent churn through the opened-up exhaust gets your heart racing. It also seems like it's vibrating the whole cabin, so you feel it as much as you hear it.
