Must Sell! Just lowered the price again. Let's talk! Oil service just completed(4/2013) at Lamborghini Boston. She's ready for summer!

2008 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Up for sale is my personally owned Lamborghini Murcielago LP640!  Was a dream to own one of these cars since I was a little boy, and I finally got one! To say the least, the car is everything that I could ever imagine, and  more. Beautiful lines, race-car like steering, and unbelievable power!  Truly a dream come true. However, work calls, and now after a very short time of ownership, I have to sell her. After spending years of researching these vehicles, and about a year and a half of ownership(and 2000 miles behind the wheel), I have to sell her off.  I am the second owner of the car, previously owned by an older professional gentleman in California who purchased the car from O'gara Coach Works new in 2008(dealer information regarding the car is available, however, you must contact me first). Just prior to making this purchase of a lifetime in August of 2011, the car went through the Lamborghini Certified Pre-Owned extensive inspection and the warranty was extended for another two years!(a huge purchasing point for me, and now a huge selling point as well. This is nearly a $10k investment and can give you peace of mind that Lamborghini will stand behind their workmanship for another two years; ending this summer though.)  This is something that "must" be considered in price comparison with other vehicles, seeing most other cars of this vintage do not have a warranty.

Other details about the car are pretty straight forward. The exterior color is Grigio Telesto, the interior is black with yellow stitching. The floor mats are nice custom $1200 units that can easily be removed. Radio is stock and includes all the features you can imagine; however, I never listen to the radio seeing the sound of the engine is a bit more appealing to me. Engine and drive-train maintenance was just performed 2000 miles ago, and the oil and filter were changed last week, so you have plenty of time before it needs to make a visit to the shop. Tires have a lot of life left and rims are all in perfect condition.  Bottom line is the car is simply awesome! Still has the new car smell, and is flawless!  I personally appreciate craftsmanship, and this car more than impresses me! And if you want looks, you get more looks from passer-by's than you can imagine.  Please feel free to contact me via email and if you would like to discuss the details of the car over the phone I will openly share my phone number, just please a serious potential buyer.

Thank you,
Chris

Lamborghini weighs first factory-backed Le Mans entry

Fri, Aug 9 2019

Lamborghini could expand its racing program by competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Italian company has never been able to justify funding the development of an LMP1-spec prototype from the ground up, but the hypercar category the WEC will launch in 2020 makes competing in high-profile races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans much more affordable. The new class created to pick up where LMP1 will leave off has piqued the interest of Lamborghini boss Stefano Domenicali. He told British magazine Autocar that his team is taking a careful look at the regulations, and company officials will decide whether to go racing by the end of 2019. The hypercar category will replace LMP1 during the 2020/2021 season, and its guidelines call for racers that look like production models. They'll need to weigh under 2,160 pounds, and they'll be allowed to use active aerodynamic technology, which Lamborghini already uses on production models like the Aventador SVJ, the Huracan Performante, and the Huracan Evo. Domenicali hinted a car similar to the one-off, Aventador-based SC18 (pictured) introduced in late 2018 could take Lamborghini racing. It shows the company has "a base for what could be an interesting approach," he told Autocar. Created at the request of a customer, the SC18 delivers 770 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque thanks to the Aventador's naturally-aspirated, 6.5-liter V12. If Lamborghini chooses to race, it will need to fend off competition from Aston Martin and Toyota, among others. Aston Martin confirmed it will compete in the hypercar category with an evolution of the 1,160-horsepower Valkyrie, while Toyota is busily transforming the Super Sport concept into a hypercar-spec racer. Unverified reports suggest McLaren and Ferrari could also join the fray sooner or later. While Lamborghini's history isn't rooted in racing, and it has never operated a full, factory-backed WEC program, its cars have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and other endurance events on several occasions. Die-hard fans will remember the Murcielago R-GT that raced at Le Mans between 2006 and 2009. It was more show than go, and it finished near (or at) the bottom of the pack. 1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV still looks fresh on Pebble's Concept Lawn

Sun, 18 Aug 2013

We already brought you a gallery of Lamborghini's latest rockstar, the Veneno, from it's vaunted spot on the lawns of The Quail here in Monterey. Apparently the Italian brand didn't want the Pebble Beach crowds to feel left out, so it brought the supercar along to the Concept Lawn here as well. Not to miss out on the classics action Lamborghini has matched the Veneno with the car that started everything for the company: the original 1963 350 GTV prototype.
With 50 years separating the Veneno from the debut of the hip 350 GTV at the Turin Motor Show, Lamborghini cheekily mentions that it has stuffed "100 years of innovation in half the time." We'll leave the judgments of historical significance in the capable hands of the Pebble judges, but will agree that the original Lamborghini still looks amazingly hot, decades after its reveal. Apparently the classic 350 GTV doesn't travel a whole lot either, so we're happy to have a chance to lay eyes on it here.

Lamborghini Miura owner sues garage over million-dollar car-b-que [w/video]

Mon, Dec 1 2014

Remember about a year and a half ago when a rare, classic Lamborghini Miura SV went up in flames in London? Its owner sure does. And he's not willing to write it off, pointing fingers squarely at the Lamborghini dealership in London for causing the fire. It may seem like a difficult case to make, especially since the Miura was not in the dealership's possession when the fire erupted – the owner's son was driving it, but he was driving it home from the dealer where it had been brought in for service. According to the suit filed by the vehicle's owner, billionaire property agent Jon Hunt, the mechanics at the dealership owned by high-end automotive group H.R. Owen must have improperly fitted the spark plugs during the Miura's service. Lamborghini's official dealership should have known better, says Mr. Hunt. That's why Hunt is suing the dealership to the tune of GBP700,000, equivalent to over $1 million at today's rates, plus storage costs and "loss of enjoyment." The vehicle – one of only 764 made – was evaluated at GBP900,000, but Hunt's suit deducts the GBP200,000 it was worth as scrap. We've included footage of the fire below, but it's not for the weak of heart when it comes to watching an irreplaceable classic supercar burning to the ground.
