2008 Lamborghini
Gallardo Supperleggera
Stunning Example finished in Arancio Borealis
When Exotic isn't enough, and when the "standard" Gallardo just doesn't do it for you, Lamborghini satisfies the deepest desire of your automobilia soul with the radical-yet-refined Gallardo Superleggera. Known as the Super Light-weight, this Lambo is stripped of the nonsense that packs on the pounds, and replaces items such as that extra heavy interior door panel with a finely crafted carbon fiber replacement. Several other components were replaced throughout, making the Superleggera just shy of 200 pounds lighter than it's oh-so-basic Gallardo brother. Wrapped in a radical finished orange pearl known as Arancio Borealis, and dressed with a Supperleggera stripe complimented by lightweight multi-spoke wheels, the Superleggera is the radical exotic that's just what you need.

Condition wise, this Gallardo is nearly spotless, with only a couple of minor flaws to point out that were too small to photo, but I'd be glad to give you more detail during an over the phone walkaround if you'd like. The wheels look fantastic with no damage or rash, and the tires all have most of their treadlife remaining. Inside, the interior is absolutely beautiful. The alcantara is wrapped around nearly everything you see, aside from the optional leather wrapped wheel, and the various pieces of tasteful carbon fiber. Inside and out, this car is tremendous.

Mechanically, this Lamborghini runs and shifts excellent, just as you'd expect. It was just serviced at Prestige Imports in Miami with just under 22k miles, where they replaced the clutch and related components, did a full Mobil 1 service, performed the E-gear self learn, and all related services, totalling over $6k. This car is ready to go! It will be sold with all of the books, window sticker, clutch receipt paperwork/record, and 1 key.

This Lambo is simply stunning, and well equipped. Check out the list below, and call me if you have questions!

1971 Lamborghini Countach LP prototype 500 lives again

Fri, Oct 1 2021

On March 11, 1971, Lamborghini unveiled the Countach LP 500 prototype at the Geneva Motor Show on the Carrozzeria Bertone stand. Lamborghini had also brought the reworked Miura P400 SV to the show, and believing it would be the star, had placed the Miura at its own stand and dispatched the Countach to the design house stand. Admittedly, Lamborghini had done the same thing in 1966 when the Miura debuted in Geneva. The Countach ruled the 1971 show and was soon on magazine covers around the world. The Italian house spent three years developing the prototype for production, putting the Countach LP 400 on sale in 1974. The prototype sacrificed its life during crash testing for the production model. Now the prototype is back, or the best facsimile thereof. Lamborghini says "an important collector" approached the firm in 2017 asking if they could recreate the yellow shock that started the 50-year craze for V12 engines and scissor doors. That customer might have got his idea from the 1971 Miura P400 SV prototype that Lamborghini restored in 2017 using archival documents. So the automaker's classics division, Polo Storico, went back to the archives for drawings, documents, meeting notes and pictures; interviewed people who were there at the time; and contacted suppliers like Pirelli for an updated version of the Cinturato CN12 and paint maker PPG for the Giallo Fly Yellow Speciale color. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. It took 2,000 hours for the design house, Lamborghini Centro Stile, to reproduce the bodywork, all of it hand-beaten as it was in 1971. It took more than 25,000 hours to recreate the entire coupe with parts that were either original, restored, or fabricated from scratch ranging from the platform frame (instead of the tubular frame in the production car) to the partially electronic instrumentation. Lamborghini didn't mention the engine, though. The prototype contained a 5.0-liter V12; the production model downsized that for a more reliable 4.0-liter unit. We'll guess a collector committed enough to pay for 25,000 hours of Lamborghini work wouldn't compromise on the heart of the matter. Whatever's back there, it sounds righteous in the video.  The result is now on display in the concept class at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

Lamborghini Cabrera 'Ring session caught on video

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

While our spy photographers were getting shots of the Lamborghini Gallardo replacement, said to be called "Cabrera," at the Nürburgring, there were other spotters lurking who caught the thing on video. It could just be the audio captured by the camera mic, but to our ears the exhaust sounds deeper and more burbly than that on the current car. One audio cue that can't be missed, however, is the speed of the gearchanges; think dual-clutch.
The reworked 5.2-liter V10 sitting behind the cockpit is expected to put out around 600 horsepower, sent either to all four wheels or just the rears depending on customer preference. The sights and sounds await you in the video below, your own ruminations can be heard in Comments just below that.

1990 Lamborghini LM002 roars into Jay Leno's Garage

Mon, Nov 23 2015

High-performance SUVs have become fairly common in recent years, with vehicles like the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR, Mercedes-AMG G65, and plenty of others to fill the niche. However, the Lamborghini LM002 was arguably the segment's pioneer when it debuted decades ago. Jay Leno welcomes one of these Italian beasts into his garage in a new video, and this thing is fascinating to see on the road. The LM002 is a wonderfully incongruous vehicle. The exterior has a brutish collection of chiseled features, but there's a high-output 5.2-liter V12 from the Countach under the hood. Leno says that the "Rambo Lambo" sounds "like an Italian opera," and he lets the big engine sing several times during the clip. Leno praises the way the Lambo drives, but the LM002 ownership experience sounds difficult. According to guest Damiano Barbuscia, replacement tires are eye-wateringly expensive, and the V12 gulps down fuel. The high price is likely worth it for this SUV's charisma on the road – see for yourself in the latest from Jay Leno's Garage.
