2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Supperleggera Stunning Example finished in Arancio Borealis When Exotic isn't enough, and when the "standard" Gallardo just doesn't do it for you, Lamborghini satisfies the deepest desire of your automobilia soul with the radical-yet-refined Gallardo Superleggera. Known as the Super Light-weight, this Lambo is stripped of the nonsense that packs on the pounds, and replaces items such as that extra heavy interior door panel with a finely crafted carbon fiber replacement. Several other components were replaced throughout, making the Superleggera just shy of 200 pounds lighter than it's oh-so-basic Gallardo brother. Wrapped in a radical finished orange pearl known as Arancio Borealis, and dressed with a Supperleggera stripe complimented by lightweight multi-spoke wheels, the Superleggera is the radical exotic that's just what you need. Condition wise, this Gallardo is nearly spotless, with only a couple of minor flaws to point out that were too small to photo, but I'd be glad to give you more detail during an over the phone walkaround if you'd like. The wheels look fantastic with no damage or rash, and the tires all have most of their treadlife remaining. Inside, the interior is absolutely beautiful. The alcantara is wrapped around nearly everything you see, aside from the optional leather wrapped wheel, and the various pieces of tasteful carbon fiber. Inside and out, this car is tremendous. Mechanically, this Lamborghini runs and shifts excellent, just as you'd expect. It was just serviced at Prestige Imports in Miami with just under 22k miles, where they replaced the clutch and related components, did a full Mobil 1 service, performed the E-gear self learn, and all related services, totalling over $6k. Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse isn't mellow, comes in yellow

Normally, this is the part where we remind you that the Lamborghini Gallardo is about to be replaced, and that this LP570-4 Squadra Corse is the swan song for the model range. That first part may be true, but at this point, we'd be shocked if yet another special edition Gallardo didn't debut before the car's successor is unveiled. Gotta make that money, honey.
But back to the Squadra Corse. This latest Lambo shares the majority of its components with the Gallardo Super Trofeo, which itself is based on the Superleggera, meaning that car's 570-horsepower V10 carries over, as does the carbon fiber rear wing and removable engine hood. Massive weight-saving methods have been employed here with the Squadra Corse, and thus, the big coupe tips the scales at just 2,954 pounds - that's less than a Volkswagen Golf.
Of course, with that little weight and that much power, performance is pretty staggering. Hitting 60 miles per hour takes 3.4 seconds and the car will rocket to 124 mph in 10.4 clicks. Top speed: 199 mph. Just couldn't muster up that additional mph, we guess.

Coachbuilt Italian Finery Rides High In The Mediterranean
Apparently, the appropriate gift to give for the 45th anniversary of almost anything is a blue sapphire stone. I cannot imagine Autoblog readers craving a story about that, so I'm glad that Italdesign Giugiaro spared me that gig and instead created this truly interesting Parcour concept to mark its 45th anniversary.
Parcour is named after the generally urban activity of French origin (spelled "parkour"), of throwing one's (presumably) agile body off walls and railings in an anti-gravity freestyle momentum ballet. This sometimes ends up being broadcast on YouTube, particularly to show a parkour session gone horribly wrong, with the star taking a metal banister in the cojones or receiving a fetching bouquet of twisted fingers. Clearly design boss at Giugiaro, Fabrizio Giugiaro (son of legend Giorgetto), and his squad had more coordinated good parkour-ing in mind when they let me drive their cool creation on the island of Sardinia. (I live not far away, so it's a one-hour flight with the herds on a low-cost airline.)
