2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance: It's all in the details

It's no secret that Pebble Beach is an ode to gorgeous, and mostly, classic cars. The car show may be a place for automakers to showcase extremely expensive cars to wealthy buyers, but it's also one of the go-to places for enthusiasts that love automobiles and culture. While it's easy to be overwhelmed by the overall beauty of a car, the real magic often needs closer inspection to be realized. Every car at Pebble Beach is a work of art, but the true beauty of the vehicles lies in the details. And Autoblog's photographer, Drew Phillips, managed to capture the details on some gorgeous cars. From the Lamborghini Miura's exquisite steering wheel to Rolls-Royce's Spirit of Ecstasy, it's all at Pebble Beach. Lamborghini begins Urus marketing push with terrain mode videos

The Lamborghini Urus SUV is coming. It's a done deal, so now the marketing push begins before its December 4th debut. Lamborghini is highlighting the Urus' off-road capabilities in the videos we're going to share with you, and that's not a bad way to start, since every other Lamborghini around has strada, sport, and corsa down pat. (That's street, sport, and track for those of you who don't speak Italian.) It's the sabbia, terra, and neve (sand, off-road, and snow) bona fides that need to be nailed down for the Urus to sell, so it's a smart play to highlight them right off the bat. Especially since its predecessor, the LM002, had fairly legendary capabilities – and prodigious fuel consumption. Expect that to be better in the Urus, whose twin-turbo V8 of about 650 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque should be civilized enough to guzzle fuel at a more measured pace. Lamborghini unveils Egoista Concept for selfish supercar owners

Does the mere desire to own a ridiculously high-performance and stupendously expensive supercar automatically make its prospective owner a little selfish? Not necessarily, but if said supercar has just one seat, a case could certainly be made that its megalomaniacal owner simply doesn't want to share the experience with his friends...
For such an owner, Lamborghini has presented the Egoista Concept - perhaps fittingly, the car was unveiled at a private 50th birthday party that the automaker seems to have thrown for itself. From what we can glean without any official announcement from Lamborghini to go by, the Egoista Concept has room for a single occupant, is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine and boasts styling said to be inspired by an Apache helicopter.
While we eagerly await more details from Lamborghini, we suggest you click on the image above to view the Egoista in high resolution. With just one angle to go by, we can't really offer much commentary on its design, other than to say it joins the Veneno as one of the more memorable self-given birthday presents in recent memory.
