2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder on 2040-cars
Shelton, Connecticut, United States
More infos regarding my car at: ariehornik@gmx.com .
Stands out even from the normal Gallardo crowd. The Grigio Proteus Metallic color, black wheels and exterior modifications make the car look lower and tougher. Whilst driving, the custom fabricated exhaust systems either bellows or screams depending on how hard you push the gas pedal. Nobody walks or drives past without taking a second look.
Orange vinyl stripes (easily removed), an LP560 front bumper, LP560 LED tailights, and a Lamborghini Factory carbon fiber wing with integrated back up camera. Upon purchase I had Scott install alcantara seat bases and backs and a Supercar Specialist custom exhaust (her original exhaust comes with the car and is easy to re-install). Custom exhaust gives what my local exotic car shop calls THE FINEST EXHAUST NOTE THEY HAVE EVER HEARD FROM A STREETCAR !!! In addition, she comes from the factory with orange brake calipers, custom rear diffuser, 6 Speed E- Gear transmission, front lift system, 6 Disc Kenwood CD Changer with amp in front trunk, navigation, Bluetooth, and power everything!
She has the full 3M coating over the front of the car (pictured). Whilst well-loved the car is not perfect. There is a small inch nick in the leather in the dashboard at the base of the windscreen (pictured). The black rubber coating on the switchgear is soft in places (a normal Lambo (Audi) issue).

Swedish man bests Kobe Bryant by jumping speeding Lambo
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Way back in 2008, Los Angeles Lakers' shooting guard Kobe Bryant created a minor uproar with a viral video filmed and released by Nike. In it, the 16-time NBA all-star vaulted a moving Aston Martin. The promotional plug of the whole thing was that Bryant's ups were courtesy of his new Nikes, although he later admitted that "Hollywood" had a big part in the video.
This new video is allegedly real, though, and comes without the help of a promotional plug for a basketball shoe. It stars a Swedish man named Al the Jumper. Rather than an Aston Martin, Al jumps a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, which is heading right for him at 80 miles per hour. It is, if it's as real as claimed, a very impressive feat, especially after seeing how handily Al clears the Lambo.
Scroll down for the video and then head into Comments and let us know what you think.
Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder opens up in Frankfurt
Tue, Sep 15 2015The Lamborghini Huracan is still a fairly fresh member to the supercar scene, but at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Lamborghini is giving its wealthy clientele an open-air variant of the V10 with the newly unveiled LP 610-4 Spyder. The introduction finally gives the brand a natural successor to the discontinued Gallardo Spyder. Mechanically, buyers are still getting a Huracan with its 5.2-liter V10 pumping out 602 horsepower (the 610 in the name is in metric ponies) and 413 pound-feet. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox routes power to all four wheels. Performance is quite brisk, with the sprint to 62 miles per hour coming in 3.4 seconds and to a top speed of 201 miles per hour. One thing the hardtop obviously can't match is the power-retracting roof that can open up in just 17 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. Lambo's designers didn't just take a saw to the top and go sip an espresso, either. The roofline is thoroughly resculpted behind the seats both for improved aesthetics and to direct airflow around the occupants. When the roof is down, it's easier to spot the new nacelles that run down the rear of the supercar. Ducts in those bits help reduce turbulence, and they look great too. Another cool touch is that the rear glass is power operated and can be opened to let the V10's roar into the cabin. The first Huracan LP 610-4 Spyders arrive in spring 2016. Lamborghini is setting prices in Europe at 186,450 euros before taxes ($210,111 at current rates). The actual US figure could be somewhat different, though. Related Video:
Lamborghini Huracan does quarter mile in just 8.6 seconds
Tue, Mar 22 2016If you're the wild and crazy sort that feels the need to up the output of an Italian exotic, more power to you. And one of the best ways to get that power is through turbocharging. Lots and lots of turbocharging. Just like Heffner Performance has done with this monstrous Huracan. By strapping a pair of turbochargers to the Lamborghini's V10 engine, Heffner's modded car is good for 1,200 horsepower at the wheels. If you don't feel like doing the math on what that is at the crank, just rest easy in knowing that it's a whole helluva lot. While you probably won't want to try and put that power down on a road course, it's absolutely appropriate on a drag-prepped surface. Combined with the super-sticky strip and some equally grippy tires, Heffner has turned in some impressive, sub-ten-second times. But its most impressive run is this – an 8.631-second run through the quarter, where the green Huracan hit 173 miles per hour. According to the results slip, it snapped to 60 in just 1.9 seconds, while Heffner claims it hit 100 in 3.7 seconds. So yeah, this is a very, very fast Lamborghini. And now, you can watch it in action. Check out the high-speed run at the top. Related Video:
