Underground Racing Stage 3 Gallardo, with lots of additional mods in addition to the turbo system.
The car is a 2004 (produced in April 2004 as no. 1,470, so not a launch or early production car), pearl yellow (Giallo Midas), with black leather interior with yellow stitching, 18k miles, 6 speed manual, with full electric seats, coming home, etc. I bought the car in 2011 from a friend, who had purchased the car from Lamborghini Palm Beach a couple of years before with around 8k miles on it. When I bought the car it had around 15k miles and was still stock other than tinted tails and side marker lenses, painted calipers (body color), a LOC exhaust, and a custom stereo system, all of which my friend had added. I added the stage 3 UR turbo system (black finish), with 67mm billet turbos, fully built engine, etc. The car made 1,005 whp on pump gas, and also has a low boost pump setting, which is what I have driven it on 99% of the time, where it makes "only" around 800 whp. I have never run it on race gas, and in fact it doesn't even have a race gas tune programmed into the boost controller, although I'm sure that can be easily added if the buyer desires. It has not been launched or beat on at all while I have had it. The car has well over $50k in upgrades in addition to the turbo system, including: HRE CF43 wheels with carbon fiber barrels (HRE doesn't make these anymore) and Toyo R888's with plenty of tread left. Renown LP570 style front bumper with exposed carbon fiber lower portion. Xpel self-healing clear bra on full hood, bumper, and fenders plus mirrors and high-wear areas on sides and rear fender lips. Transparent engine bonnet (few if any '04's came with this option so I had to add it). Carbon fiber engine compartment trim. '08 SL carbon fiber steering wheel and airbag cover. Carbon fiber gearshift surround. Rear Lamborghini logo painted black. SL carbon fiber side splitters. SL carbon fiber rear diffuser. SL carbon fiber rear wing with backup camera. Kenwood double DIN head unit with nav, bluetooth, Ipod connector, etc. with custom carbon fiber surround panel. The head unit uses Garmin based nav, and one feature that is really cool is the real-time GPS based speed readout, which also shows you the speed limit on the road you're on. The speedos in the Gallardos read notoriously high, and are also hard to read in the daytime, so the digital speedo on the nav screen is a welcome addition. Memphis Audio door speakers with 2 amps in the trunk (note--my friend also had a custom subwoofer enclosure installed behind the seats with 2 JL subs, but that was a little much for me so I had UR remove the sub enclosure when they did the turbo system. I do still have it if the buyer wants it however). UR installed a new clutch at the time the TT system was installed (~2k miles ago). All the fluids were changed at the same time, and the oil was changed again by UR 3-4 months ago. The car is in excellent condition inside and out--in fact the interior still smells new. This is as nice and extensively but tastefully modded an '04 as you will ever see. I have had no issues with the car while I have owned it, and it has no issues or stories. |

Lamborghini Lanzador concept is a megawatt wedge previewing the first Lamborghini EV
Fri, Aug 18 2023Two years ago, Lamborghini confirmed that it would launch a fully-electric car of some sort. Today, we get our first glimpse of what that will be with the Lanzador concept. It's a precursor to a production model that will be sold alongside the other mainline models such as Urus, Revuelto and the Huracan's successor. The Lanzador's styling is very obviously Lamborghini, what with its wedge shape that runs from stem to stern. The huge fenders, squinting headlights and hexagonal taillight elements are familiar, too. The question is, is it more of a squashed Urus, or a pumped-up Revuelto. We're not sure there's a wrong answer. It does seem to be something of an SUV or crossover with its relatively high ride height and the 2+2 seating position. Lamborghini calls it an "Ultra GT," which reminds us a bit of Aston Martin calling its DB12 a "super tourer." Whatever it is, it happens to have just two doors, or three if you count the rear hatchback. We particularly like the 23-inch wheels that are hexagonal renditions of classic Lambo phone-dial wheels. Just above those wheels are some nifty hidden wheel well air vents that are part of an extensive array of active aerodynamic elements to optimize either drag for efficiency or downforce for performance. Inside, two sets of aggressive-looking sport seats are available for the driver and their friends to enjoy the "Ultra GT" life. The dash consists of two cowls with screens for the driver and passenger. Down the center is a cluster of controls that looks straight out of an alien spacecraft for operating infotainment functions. The typical Lamborghini starter button with safety cover returns, and amusingly, it still references starting an engine in an electric vehicle that has no engine. Lamborghini also notes that the interior uses wool upholstery, more sustainable leather and recycled materials. Even some carbon fiber is recycled using a method that combines layers of reprocessed pieces with a more attractive top layer to finish them off. And besides space for four people, the rear cargo area seems quite spacious as well as versatile thanks to folding rear seats and the hatch. And if that's not enough, there's a front trunk, too. Mechanically, details are a little scarce, but Lamborghini says the Lanzador would feature a pair of electric motors for all-wheel drive, and output would be more than 1,300 horsepower (more than 1 megawatt as Lamborghini put it).
Lamborghini has built more Huracans in 5 years than it did Gallardos in 10

For instance, 14,022 cars built in five years sounds like nothing, but when it's added that those 14,022 units are Lamborghini Huracans, it's more impressive. That specific number is significant because it matches the number of Lamborghini Gallardos produced during its 10-year run, even though the Huracan has only existed for 5 years. Lamborghini has been doing extremely well as of late. Year-over-year sales rose for the eighth consecutive year in 2018, and the Urus SUV is bringing in gobs of new customers. Reportedly, the company might even cap its production for 2020 at 8,000 units in order to maintain a certain level of exclusivity. At the core of the company's identity is the V10-powered Huracan. In the first half of 2019, the Huracan accounted for roughly 26 percent of the 4,553 cars sold, a number that represents a 96-percent increase compared to the same time period in 2018. Since it first debuted as a coupe for 2014, the Huracan line has expanded quite a bit with numerous different styles and performance levels. There's the rear-wheel drive model, the Performante, the EVO, and Spyder variants. The 14,022nd car built is a Huracan EVO coupe wearing a Grigio Titans paint scheme, and it's headed to a customer in Korea. There's no reason to believe Lamborghini demand will slow. The Urus has quickly become a cash-cow in a crossover-hungry market, and the possibility of an electric 2+2 as a fourth model could boost the brand even more.
2021 Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule is all about contrast
Mon, Sep 28 2020There are seemingly two reasons to buy a 2021 Lamborghini Urus. One is for the performance. The other is to stand out. The Urus does both well, but Lamborghini hopes the new Graphite Capsule model will further enhance the big Lambo's ability to catch attention. On the outside, the Urus Graphite Caspule gets one of four matte-finish paint colors for the main body, and one of four gloss paint colors for the accents, which are restricted to the front splitter, door trims, rear spoiler and wheel rims. The matte finishes come in black, white or a choice of two grays, and the accents are available in green, yellow or two choices of orange. The monochrome base paints let the boldly colored accents really pop. The exterior color scheme is reflected on the inside, where all the stitching and a few seat, dash and door panels are given the same color as the outside accents. The rest is finished in black. The aluminum trim is given a dark anodized finish, and the interior carbon fiber has a matte finish. A special option exclusive to the Graphite Capsule, as well as the Pearl Capsule model, is ventilated seats upholstered in Alcantara. Pricing has not been announced. Exact availability is also unknown, but it will be available on the current 2021 model. So it should be available very soon. Related Video:
