This is a 2003 Kia Spectra base model, being offered for sale. The Spectra is located in central NJ, and can be picked up or shipped. The car runs and drives great! It has a pretty blue exterior, with pinstriping intact. The air conditioner works excellent, and gets the air very cold. The interior is in very good condition, with no holes or tears in any of the upholstery that I could see. A good steam cleaning will restore the interior to a sparkling new look. The floors have some wear visible, as does the inside of the driver's side door. There are a few spots on the exterior where rust is visible, but the areas are small. A little bit of matching paint will prevent the rust from spreading. The damaged areas are in front of the driver's side mirror, and by the two rear wheel wells. The damage spots by the wheel wells are very small, two inches each at most. The damage in front of the mirror is a bit larger, and can be seen in one of the photos below. The undercarriage shows a small amount of rust, which is to be expected in a car driven on the east coast, where snow and salt cause at least some rust to most cars on the road. Under the hood, however, is clean and free of rust or other defects. When you look under the hood, it looks like a practically new car, with even the motor looking almost new from the outside. It appears that the former owner took very good care of the parts under the hood. The oil does not smell or appear to be burnt, and the transmission shifts smoothly. Even with the exhaust leaks, this car does not make much noise at all when driving. Regarding the vehicle's mechanical operation, this car drives well. The idle air control motor was replaced in error, as it was not the actual motor that was broken. So the IAC itself is brand new. The connector for the idle control motor is the part which is broken, and can be obtained from a junkyard and installed by a mechanic for generally less than $50. Due to this problem, the CEL is illuminated, and when the car is idling, the sound of the idle can be heard to go up and down as the connector moves with the vibration of the car. The two front wheels have wheel bearings that are making some noise. It is not a large amount of noise, but they should be replaced within the first month or two of ownership. The mechanic who checked them out said that the car may drive for awhile just as it is, as wheel bearings will make noise for some time before they actually break. When the car was purchased, the wheel bearings were not making any noise, so this is a new problem. In addition, the exhaust has a few leaks in it that should be repaired. If you are purchasing this car in a state that does not require computerized emissions testing, then the only repair that is really necessary is the wheel bearings, as the other problems do not affect driveability, but only inspection eligibility. Such states include Alabama, Alaska, Florida, North Dakota, South Carolina, etc. This car would be perfect for you if you live in one of those states. I have had a mechanic look at this car, and while I cannot guarantee that there are no other issues, these were all the issues that he was able to find in a test drive and under hood/ under vehicle inspection. This car will be a great car to get you to work or school, and is an excellent first car since it has low gas mileage, handles well, and is an automatic transmission car, making it easier to learn to drive with. Aside from the small spots of damage mentioned above, this car looks great. There are no dents or noticeable scratches in the body itself. This car has relatively low mileage for a car of its age, and it will undoubtedly provide you with reliable transportation for years to come. Supermodel Adriana Lima kicks off World Cup fever with Kia

Not when we have so many other sports (like baseball, basketball, hockey and American football) to watch, cheer on and follow. But if anyone can change minds, surely it's Adriana Lima. The Latin American supermodel - best known for being a Victoria's Secret Angel - is the lust-worthy centerpiece of Kia's campaign for the FIFA World Cup, taking place this year in her native Brazil.
Kia is sponsoring this year's international soccer championship, and is kicking off its campaign with two ads in which Lima does her best to convert Americans into futbol fans and players. Which seem like a losing battle to begin with, but the least believable part of it very well might be that an international supermodel like Adriana would be driving around in an Optima or Sorento and not in a Mercedes or Maserati convertible. Of course that doesn't mean we mind watching her try, and so can you in the pair of clips below.
2014 Kia Forte Koup bows with new look, new engine
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Third time's the charm. The final member of Kia's Forte trio has been revealed here at the New York Auto Show, and this new coupe Koup will join the sedan and five-door models when it goes on sale near the end of this year.
The two-door Forte looks sharp, and we like the way Kia's new design language for its compact car has translated onto this coupe model. LED running lights are found up front, matching the LED taillmaps at the rear. EX models will ride on 16-inch alloy wheels, while the upgraded SX model will use 18-inch rollers.
Two powertrains will be offered in the Forte Koup: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four in the EX, producing 173 horsepower and 154 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission; and a turbocharged 1.6-liter four in the SX, rated at 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The five-door Forte also gets this turbocharged mill, and if its specs sound familiar, it's because this engine is also found under the hood of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.
Hyundai pickup truck coming ASAP, says design chief
Mon, Dec 3 2018Hyundai first showed its HCD-15 Santa Cruz pickup truck concept at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. In the years following the concept's debut, reports have kept surfacing that yes, Hyundai wants to build it and yes, it's only a matter of time when the Santa Cruz will spawn a production version. In August 2017, Reuters reported that a pickup had been greenlit as Hyundai needed to correct a sales slide; a year later, we envisioned a 2020 unveiling date for the finalized truck. Now, Autocar says Hyundai is launching the truck "as soon as possible." Autocar cites a discussion with Hyundai's new Chief Design Officer Luc Donckerwolke, who formerly led Genesis design and has also worked as the head of design at Bentley, Lamborghini and Audi. Donckerwolke said the design process of the new truck has now been completed, and Hyundai is now in the midst of engineering the design into production. Donckerwolke told Autocar that the truck will arrive "as soon as possible. From my side it is finished, the process to put it into production is now underway." Leftlane News estimates the truck could be here by 2021 at the earliest. For Donckerwolke, the truck is very much a development of the 2015 concept; as Motor Trend earlier quoted Hyundai Motor America's Brian Smith, the original two-door concept has evolved into a five-seater four-door truck. The understanding is that the Santa Cruz's production version will be underpinned by the same platform and mechanicals as the expected and redesigned 2020 Tucson. The pickup is also to be followed by a corresponding Kia-badged version, Donckerwolke said. The Hyundai and Kia trucks are likely to battle for sales with the Ridgeline, Ranger, Tacoma and Gladiator — and the Tanoak, if Volkswagen comes out with a production version of its recent concept truck.
