NEW PARTS: Brand new exhaust at the "Y" tube, that was $550 to replace it to pass inspection a few months ago. new drive belts, new power steering pump and hose, that was $150. Fresh oil change and transmission fluid. New headlight and fog light bulbs. New engine air filter. The brakes were completely replaced about 3 years ago. I know that doesn't really account for new parts, but it the vehicle received all new rotors, calipers etc.
OTHER: Two tone paint; roof rack, running boards entire car was JUST professionally detailed inside and out, leather seats were cleaned, carpet was shampooed, exterior professionally washed and waxed for $100. Has lots of courtesy lights, center arm rest & storage console, trip odometer.
Trunk has TONS of room. Retractable cover included, with original Kia trunk liner (see photo). It holds tons of stuff, and if you want ou can fold the middle seats down completely flat and have twice the space. Drives beautifully and smooth, and is FANTASTIC in snow. A few years ago, 16 inches of snow fell overnight at my house. Parked in our driveway was my Sorento, my friend's Ford Edge and my mother's Pontiac Aztec. My Sorento pulled right out of the driveway with no problem, while we had to shovel the other two SUVs out!! They were stuck!! Mine wasn't :)
The vehicle has been 100% reliable to me for 6 years, and the Kelly Blue Book value for this car is about $6,600 in a private party sale in "good condition".
"If it's so great you say, then why are you selling it?" is what I'm asked. And the answer is one reason and one reason only and it starts with the letter H. A big H. We bought a HOUSE! Forgot to add that the rear lift gate glass opens (see photo) with the touch of a button on the driver's door. I'm sure there's more things I'm forgetting and I'll be uploading more photos during the next few days and adding more information. It's 92 degrees here, I just drove the car a bit and the A/C blew ice cold. Really, really good.

UPDATE: Kia K900 revealed, first in leaked shots, now in official photos
Mon, Mar 19 2018We have been posting sketches and teaser images of the upcoming Kia K900 sedan, but photos of the real thing are already available in South Korea. Some presentation slides of the car, wearing the name "K9" (that's what it's called over there), are now online on Kia's own website and in the photo gallery above. The restrained appearance conveyed in the sketches is present in the final car. There's still something German about it, with detail choices reflecting current BMW and Mercedes offerings: The front grille is certainly about as big as BMW 7-series' kidneys these days. The lights' LED accents are clearly visible in all photos. Fitting the car with real-life wheels definitely makes it lose something striking that the sketches had, but that is the case with all concept design sketches. The interior ambience depicted in the penned sketch has translated well to the photograph-like render: it will be interesting to see how the promised mood lighting modes will affect the interior. Hyundai poaches BMW M engineering chief to lead new performance division
Mon, Dec 22 2014The Hyundai Motor Group may be getting more serious about its performance credentials, but in order to realize its goal of making more serious performance machinery, it's going to need the expertise to get there. Fortunately that's just what it's acquired in hiring Albert Biermann. The former chief engineer at BMW M GmbH, Biermann has been working for the Bavarian automaker for over three decades now, and since his appointment as Vice President of Engineering at the M division, was most recently responsible for developing the latest M3, M4 and M6 – not to mention bridging the gap between BMW's standard models and its M lineup with the M Performance range. But now the 57-year-old German has been named the Korean group's new head of Vehicle Test & High Performance Development. In his new job, Biermann will be based out of Hyundai's R&D center in Namyang, South Korea, and will be tasked with "the development of new high performance Hyundai and Kia models" while also working to improve the two brands' ride, handling, safety, reliability and NVH reductions. The appointment makes Biermann the second high-ranking German executive the Korean automaker brought on board, after chief designer Peter Schreyer. Although Hyundai recently shut down its US racing program with Rhys Millen Racing, it has embarked on an ambitious assault of the World Rally Championship, and recently opened a test center at the Nurburgring with an eye towards launching a new N performance line that sounds like it'll be right up Biermann's alley. Kia Sorento and Pierce Brosnan make The Perfect Getaway for the Super Bowl
Tue, Jan 27 2015Automakers keep rolling out their Super Bowl ads online days ahead of the actual game, but the extended cut of Kia's commercial for the 2016 Sorento is probably the best of the batch released so far. The spot does a great job of combining action and humor into a tight package, while showing off the CUV in the snow. The ad, titled The Perfect Getaway Vehicle, stars former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan as he is pitched for the Kia commercial. Brosnan tries to imagine it all, but given a career mostly as a suave action star, he misunderstands the slightly more realistic style that the brand is going for.
