2008 Kia Sedona Ex Power Mini Passenger Van 4-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Howell, Michigan, United States
Selling our 2008 KIA Sedona EX Minivan. Non-smokers. This has been a great vehicle
for us, but we're looking at getting a new vehicle, so this one is up
for sale. This is the top-of-the-line EX model complete with many nice
features:
- Dual Power Sliding Doors (if you have a baby bucket, you'll really appreciate this!) - Power Liftgate - Power Front Seats (Driver is 8-way w/lumbar support, Passenger is 4-way) - 2nd Row Captain Chairs (fold flat, flip up, and removable) - Fold-into-the-floor 3rd Row Seating - Trailer Hitch - Remote Start - Cross Bars for the Roof Rack - Power Windows - Power Locks - Power Rear Quarter Windows - Heated Mirrors - Tri-zone A/C The van has just hit 90,000 miles and gets 18.7 MPG in regular driving, and 22.5-23.5 MPG for mostly freeway driving. We get better than 23 MPG going to Chicago, and better than 22 MPG when going to work up near Lansing and keeping it around 70 MPH. The official color is Olive Gray, but it is medium metallic blue in almost every lighting condition. The interior is beige with cloth seating. This received 5-star safety ratings in Frontal and side crash for both the driver and passenger and 4-star for rollover. It accelerates well, handles well and brakes well. 4-wheel disc brakes with traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes and tire pressure monitoring system that alerts you if the tires are low on air (and they really work!) The interior and exterior show light wear (a few paint chips and a couple of small door dings while the interior has a few scratches in the trim. The seats wear like iron and show almost no wear while the carpet has a couple of small stains (may come up with a steam clean.) The tires have roughly 20,000 miles on them and probably another 40,000 left in them. The battery was changed earlier this year. Well maintained by a "car guy" and no known mechanical issues. The only significant cosmetic issues are light damage to the passenger side mirror at the very edge (clipped the garage), and the windshield has scratches from one of the wipers. Again, this has been an excellent vehicle for us, and will either be selling this outright or trading it in. This will be gone by the 4th of July either sold or traded in, so call me soon if you are interested! The Kelly Blue Book value on this listed as only "GOOD" condition comes back with a value of $9,200. I have the window sticker I can send. 2024 New York International Auto Show Editors' Top 5 Picks
Fri, Mar 29 2024The New York Auto Show, like many other shows over the past few years, has shrunk. But it's still playing host to some interesting reveals, and we even got a few surprises this year. It was dominated by Nissan and Hyundai Motor Group products, but ones running the gamut from affordable cars to flagship SUVs. It was a strange situation of being both quite diverse in reveals, and not at all, depending on how you looked at it. Our favorites of the show are a clear representation of that. And another interesting observation, only one of the picks was significantly electrified. Scroll down to see the best reveals of the New York Auto Show,. 2025 Nissan Kicks View 10 Photos 5. Nissan Kicks "The Nissan Kicks has gone from a reasonably attractive and small crossover into something way more funky with cool textures, color combinations and some actual presence. Plus, it's more spacious, more powerful and has available all-wheel drive. If Nissan can keep the price nice and low to compete with similarly stylish and well-executed competition like the Chevy Trax, the company's got a real winner on its hands." – News Editor Joel Stocksdale InfinitiQX80-Z63-051 View 39 Photos 4. Infiniti QX80 "The QX80 wasn't technically shown at the New York Auto Show, but it was revealed just a week prior at Hudson Yards – accross the street, in other words. Frankly, I wasn't blown away by the initial photos, but I think it looks great in person. The attention to detail both outside and in seem appropriate for an SUV that Infiniti hopes to sell for six figures loaded up. I'm a believer." – Associate Editor Byron Hurd 2025 Kia K4 Live View 7 Photos 3. Kia K4 Sedan "The Kia K4 interior has way more style than anything in the compact car price range has any business having. Now, if we don't get the green interior option shown in the initial global reveal photos, I'm retracting several of my points here. Otherwise, wowza. I kept looking and looking at that K4 interior photo, and finding new, interesting details to admire. Oh, and the exterior is pretty cool, too, though I do prefer the hatchback in that regard." – Senior Editor, West Coast, James Riswick Genesis GV60 Magma Concept View 10 Photos 2. Genesis GV60 Magma "I am psyched to see Genesis show off a proper performance car. The “Sport” trims on its various models are sort of neat, but the Magma brand looks like the real deal.
Kia previews new minivan ahead of New York debut
Thu, 03 Apr 2014Kia has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, but the Sedona has hardly been representative of that maturation. Known in some overseas markets as the Carnival, Kia's current minivan was introduced 2006, withdrawn from US showrooms at the end of 2012, then reintroduced again a year ago. Despite the product renaissance, however, the Sedona is essentially the same dated vehicle it has been for eight years now, but Kia is intent on replacing it.
We've been seeing spy shots of a new Kia minivan for several months now, and broke word a couple of months ago that the finished product would be unveiled in New York this month. Now Kia has not only confirmed the new Sedona's imminent arrival, it has released this teaser image to keep us on our toes.
The teaser shows a vehicle more or less in line with what we'd expect of a modern Kia, tabbed grille and all. This view suggests fewer design cues from the KV7 concept have been carried over than was previously thought, but we'll need to see the entire vehicle to know for sure. Kia isn't saying much about its "all-new midsize multi-purpose vehicle" in the press release below at this point, revealing only that it "will challenge the segment and will offer the functionality to transport as many as eight passengers and their belongings while also serving as a purposeful offering for adventure seekers."
2019 Kia Niro EV starts at $1,500 more than Hyundai Kona Electric
Wed, May 1 2019Pricing for the 2019 Kia Niro EV has been revealed, and it has the highest starting price of any Hyundai or Kia electric car that we know the price of right now – assuming the Soul EV won't be pricier. The base price for the Niro EV EX is $39,495 before the federal tax credit. With the credit, the price falls to $31,995. The top trim Niro EV EX Premium jumps up to $44,995 before the credit, and $37,495 after it. For the extra $5,500, the Niro EV EX Premium adds a sunroof, real leather trim, heated and ventilated front seats, eight-inch touchscreen, navigation and wireless phone charging. The standard Niro EV is still well-equipped with standard adaptive cruise control, seven-inch touchscreen, lane centering, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot warning. Each also comes with standard DC fast charging capability. In comparison, the 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric starts at $37,995 ($30,495 with tax credit), which is $1,500 less than the Niro. The Kona is a bit smaller than the Niro, though it also offers more range than the Niro with 258 miles versus 239. The Chevy Bolt EV's base price is the cheapest at $37,495, but the tax credit has been reduced for the Chevy to $3,750 – and Chevy isn't dropping the price any to compensate. That means with the credit, the Bolt EV ends up the most expensive of these three at $33,745. The Bolt EV doesn't include DC fast charging as standard, either, and its EPA-rated range is a mile shy of the Niro's.
