Jeep: Wrangler Aev Jk350 on 2040-cars
Newton, New Hampshire, United States
This is a 2014 Granite Crystal Metallic Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, professionally built by American Expedition Vehicles with the complete JK350 package. This is not a clone that someone put together with a bunch of AEV parts. This JK350 package included almost all of the possible options which include Front and rear AEV bumpers, Warn winch, IPF lights front and rear. AEV spare tire carrier which includes Center high mounted reverse light as well as an integrated reverse camera and LED third brake light. The spare tire carrier also boasts a ten gallon spare gas tank and siphon kit. The rear bumper also has a 5 gallon potable water tank with aux. pump. Neither of the tanks have ever been used and are in brand new condition. The tire carrier also has a high lift jack and Pull Pal mount which can also store a long handled shovel. The Rear corners are protected with AEV powder coated steel covers and I installed a Rugged Trail gas filler cover to finish it off. The Jeep also got a 3.5 AEV Dual Sport Suspension lift which is arguably the best in the business for on and off-road manners. I can tell you that this is by far the best riding Wrangler I have ever driven. The front bumper includes two high output IPF aux. lights which were wired by AEV to either use them on demand or with a flick of a switch they come on when you turn on your high beams. The front also has a warn 9000lb winch with synthetic cable and a Factor 55 billet hawse fairlead and recovery eye. I also purchased an AEV front plate mount bracket. The front bumper along with the AEV Heat Reduction hood really makes this jeep stand out. The roof has an AEV roof rack which mounts directly to the roll cage for strength, and can be removed in minutes with just four bolts. The interior was worked by AEV to include genuine AEV gauges, as well as AEV seat covers and genuine AEV custom rubber floor mats through out the vehicle. Ive always used WeatherTech in my vehicles but these AEV mats are the best quality I have ever seen. I also installed a locking safe drawer, located under the drivers seat for keeping your valuables out of harms way. As well as installing Genuine Custom cut Dyna Liner insulation panels for all of the vehicles roof panels. After installing the heat and noise barrier, I then installed genuine Jeep carpeted panels as well. This combination gives a great look and works incredibly well at keeping the inside of the Jeep Warm in the winter, and cool in the hot summer sun. another added benefit of these insulating panels is that they also cut down on a lot of wind noise which is notable on the Wranglers. I also installed a universal cell phone holder and a stainless steel ABC fire extinguisher is mounted with a quick release mount just inside the rear hatch pillar. There is also an M-pac storage solutions rear bag carrier on the tailgate. The Mpac system lets you mount many items using the popular Molle strap system as well as the feature of folding down into a functioning table. Look at the pictures. The bags that will be included with the auction are quick release with tear away velcro backing pads. I had one filled with Emergency first aid supplies while the other held my climbing gear and some emergency rations. I purchased this JK350 from an authorized AEV dealer in Michigan right down the street from where it was final assembled and the vehicle has never been abused or wheeled. I only took this out a couple times on some fire roads to check out the Dual Sport Suspension and 4WD and Sway bar disconnect systems. Never mudded and always garaged. The 35X12.5/17 BFG Radial Mud Terrains are in great shape and have much less than the 20000 miles listed on the ODO. Shortly after purchasing the jeep I had a set of BFG AT KO2s installed on the jeep in anticipation of a trip out west which unfortunately never happened. If you would prefer the all terrain KO2s I can assist in having the installed prior to taking delivery. This is a limited production genuine AEV Wrangler with build plaque and serial number in a fantastic color combo. If you were to purchase a 2016 with all these extras it would cost you over 75K. There have been no notable changes between model years 2014 and 2016 and this jeep is as good as new so why pay an extra 25000.

Fiat Chrysler picks Google, Samsung for global connected car system
Tue, Apr 30 2019DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler said on Tuesday it will use technology from Alphabet Inc's Google and Samsung to connect all its vehicles by 2022, providing music and video and facilitating future car-sharing and self-driving capabilities. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA) will use Google's Android operating system globally instead of a mixture of software that varies by region, a spokesman said. The automaker will also use a cloud-based digital platform from Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Harman unit. Unlike its rivals General Motors and Ford, FCA has spent virtually nothing on developing self-driving vehicle technology. This saves the company large amounts of money, but makes it reliant on outside parties to provide technology and systems. FCA said it will launch the new capabilities in the second half of 2019. The company said the system will aid owners "by predicting maintenance needs, locating fuel and charging stations, receiving traffic prompts and restaurant offers and providing live customer-care assistance at the push of the button." Jeep spied testing Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
Fri, Mar 11 2016The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is coming. We know this, because Mike Manley, the head of Jeep, said so. We showed you this brief spy video a while back, but now we have our clearer images of the Trackhawk undergoing testing. And it looks just like a normal Grand Cherokee SRT. Yeah, anti-climactic, we know. The four shots we have show a bit of camo over the front bumper and grille, likely concealing a tweaked design or visible bits of the 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. It looks like there's a rather substantial opening below the upper grille, almost like a ram-air system. There's also a smidge of what looks like tape on the front wheel arches, although this might not mean much of anything. What's interesting is what isn't here. There's no perceivable change to the back of the car. The exhaust pipes look like they're about the same size, there's no noticeable changes to the aerodynamics, and in fact, there's not even any camouflage. Jeep also hasn't updated the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk's hood, which is somewhat surprising considering the changes for every other Hellcat-equipped vehicle (concepts included). You can check out our earliest look at the Trackhawk up top. As for when this monstrous Grand Cherokee will debut, we're expecting it to arrive sometime in 2017, perhaps on FCA's home turf at the Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:
1914 Ford Model T at Historic Greenfield Village | AutoblogVR
Tue, Sep 6 2016We drive all of the newest and most sophisticated cars, but a 102-year-old Ford is one of our recent favorites. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein headed to historic Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI, to learn to drive a Model T in the latest AutoblogVR segment. Kierstein picks up the Model T fairly quickly, despite its controls. Though they were designed more than a century ago to be simple and easy to use, driving a Model T is complicated and counter-intuitive to the modern motorist. But by the end of his lesson, Kierstein has it all figured out and is enjoying himself. In our other new segment, Detroit Manufacturing, Senior Editor Greg Migliore showcases the city''s industrial might. He tours a modern Fiat Chrysler factory that churns out Dodge Durangos and Jeep Grand Cherokees and then wanders the ruins of the mythical Packard Plant. There's also some tasty and unexpected twists in this VR episode. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play.
