I bought this 2013 JeepWrangler Sahara brand new back in October 2012. At the time it seemed like a great idea buying a 2 door, until my wife had our first baby 3 months ago. I paid over $34k for this Jeep and hate the idea of giving it up. It is in perfect condition, no scratches, no dings, tires are still like new. It is pretty much fully loaded with navigation, bluetooth, EVIC. I also added a few goodies of my own which I will keep on the Jeep for the next owner like Rigid Industries D2 LED windshield lights, Spod switch assembly (with 5 empty slots for future accessories), AeroForce Gauge (Center mounted to Spod switch assembly), Hood Lock, TruckLite LED headlights (best mod by far), MOPAR fuel filler cover, TailLight guards, interior grab handles, spare tire cover. The best feature of all is the hard top and it's removable freedom panels ready for the warmer weather. I could go on all day about the Jeep, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. I am located in Queens New York and welcome anyone who likes to come and inspect the Jeep or have a PPI done. Again, it's in perfect condition and ready for the next owner. Thanks for looking! photo DSC_2288_zps3f9f0b69.jpg photo DSC_2289_zps9f0f39c8.jpg photo DSC_2290_zps3b240ca5.jpg photo DSC_2291_zpsfe4caccc.jpg photo DSC_2292_zps9a492969.jpg photo DSC_2293_zps54f36701.jpg photo DSC_2294_zps953fbc70.jpg photo DSC_2295_zpsa9dbc42f.jpg photo DSC_2296_zps9efc0d62.jpg photo DSC_2297_zps7287bb76.jpg photo DSC_2298_zps70a6f72d.jpg photo DSC_2299_zps7c3a077e.jpg photo DSC_2303_zps02d7b575.jpg photo DSC_2304_zpsbd1f159b.jpg photo DSC_2305_zps91f7bd12.jpg photo DSC_2306_zpscdd20b42.jpg photo DSC_2307_zpsc09d9720.jpg photo DSC_2308_zpsbe060f7f.jpg photo DSC_2309_zps3aefe506.jpg photo DSC_2310_zpsfe0bb229.jpg photo DSC_2311_zpsc97adc16.jpg photo DSC_2312_zpsbb783c4e.jpg photo DSC_2313_zpsd2aabadc.jpg photo DSC_2315_zpsbd75018d.jpg photo DSC_2316_zps3faf3bf9.jpg photo DSC_2317_zps96b5419f.jpg photo DSC_2318_zps57b8344c.jpg photo DSC_2321_zps5052726f.jpg photo DSC_2323_zpsc9c93aa2.jpg photo DSC_2324_zpsb47ae254.jpg photo DSC_2325_zpsb197b14c.jpg photo DSC_2328_zps0490a102.jpg photo DSC_2329_zps04124bee.jpg photo DSC_2330_zpsa87132d4.jpg photo DSC_2331_zps53d96891.jpg photo DSC_2332_zps8a43682e.jpg photo DSC_2333_zps1332fbc0.jpg photo DSC_2334_zpsbe266b3d.jpg photo DSC_2335_zps287a6e44.jpg photo DSC_2336_zpsb84bace9.jpg photo DSC_2337_zpsf53f0d60.jpg photo DSC_2338_zps57051836.jpg photo DSC_2339_zps0dbab074.jpg photo DSC_2340_zps2b413ce3.jpg photo DSC_2341_zps04db6234.jpg photo DSC_2342_zps38109895.jpg photo DSC_2343_zps7a3de740.jpg photo DSC_2344_zps8f3eea66.jpg photo DSC_2345_zps81fa29d5.jpg photo DSC_2346_zps58d14982.jpg photo DSC_2347_zps868d9c98.jpg photo DSC_2349_zps08c79a09.jpg photo DSC_2354_zps1d97d006.jpg photo DSC_2355_zpsb184609d.jpg photo DSC_2358_zpsb1073f2c.jpg

Stellantis invests more than $100 million in California lithium project

Thu, Aug 17 2023

Stellantis said it would invest more than $100 million in California's Controlled Thermal Resources, its latest bet on the direct lithium extraction (DLE) sector amid the global hunt for new sources of the electric vehicle battery metal. The investment by the Chrysler and Jeep parent announced on Thursday comes as the green energy transition and U.S. Inflation Reduction Act have fueled concerns that supplies of lithium and other materials may fall short of strong demand forecasts. DLE technologies vary, but each aims to mechanically filter lithium from salty brine deposits and thus avoid the need for open pit mines or large evaporation ponds, the two most common but environmentally challenging ways to extract the battery metal. Stellantis, which has said half of its fleet will be electric by 2030, also agreed to nearly triple the amount of lithium it will buy from Controlled Thermal, boosting a previous order to 65,000 metric tons annually for at least 10 years, starting in 2027. "This is a significant investment and goes a long way toward developing this key project," Controlled Thermal CEO Rod Colwell said in an interview. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion to separate lithium from superhot geothermal brines extracted from beneath California's Salton Sea after flashing steam off those brines to spin turbines that will produce electricity starting next year. That renewable power is expected to cut the amount of carbon emitted during lithium production. Rival Berkshire Hathaway has struggled to produce lithium from the same area given large concentrations of silica in the brine that can form glass when cooled, clogging pipes. Colwell said a $65 million facility recently installed by Controlled Thermal can remove that silica and other unwanted metals. DLE equipment licensed from Koch Industries would then remove the lithium. "We're very happy with the equipment," he said. "We're going to deliver. There's just no doubt about it." Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares called the Controlled Thermal partnership "an important step in our care for our customers and our planet as we work to provide clean, safe and affordable mobility." Both companies declined to provide the specific investment amount. Controlled Thermal aims to obtain final permits by October and start construction of a commercial lithium plant soon thereafter, Colwell said. Goldman Sachs is leading the search for additional debt and equity financing, he added.

Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.

Jeep and Ram do the pre-Super Bowl ad thing again

Fri, Feb 1 2019

Fiat Chrysler is experimenting this year with pre-Super Bowl advertising that isn't — yet — Super Bowl advertising. The automaker's released five ads so far this week for Jeep and Ram. including two more today for the new Ram heavy duty trucks. But at the moment there are no plans to run them during the game. With a new focus on efficiency, the marketing team at Auburn Hills wants to see how the spots play online. The latest long-form Ram ads are called "Roll Rams Roll" and "Fourth Quarter," to go along with the long-form spot, "Make Sure of It," featuring the new voice of Ram commercials, actor Jeremy Renner. The latter spot represents the beginning of a collaboration with Ram and Renner. The wide-ranging actor will provide vocals for Ram's new campaign called "Led or Be Led" that begins later this month. "Roll Rams Roll" presents the classic scenario of two folks arriving at a four-way intersection at the same time. This time, however, one party is a seriously gung-ho tailgating crew in a Ram 3500 HD pulling a giant travel trailer, the other is a ginormous herd of Rams that have come from across the country to see their namesakes play. "Fourth Quarter" celebrates the unheralded workers who, like the best players, give their all until the final whistle, no matter how long it takes for that whistle to blow. Over in the Jeep-verse, fresh off of crushing a 1963 Gladiator, the off-road brand continues the association with the band OneRepublic that began last summer. The group mostly lets the images do the singing in the spot "More Than Just Words," which pairs the lyrics of the U.S. national anthem with representative visuals. FCA marketing honcho Olivier Francois called the week's commercials "a taste of what's to come." Whether that taste comes during the game, we don't know. Spots are rumored to cost $5.5 million for 30 seconds this year, up from $5.2 million last year, which comes on top of production costs that run into the millions. If an ad does well online, there's a chance it could appear during the show in Atlanta. Otherwise, you can check them out above and below, and watch out for rumored multi-brand Twitter shenanigans during the game. This content is hosted by a third party.
