ONE OWNER! This Jeep was bought new by an older gentleman who kept it in the garage its whole life-
He had a hard top hoist in the garage; took the hard top off and put the soft top on in the summer, then switched in the winter. The doors have never been removed! Look at the paint on the hinge nuts!
D
ealer serviced since new! All maintenance scheduled services, ie. trans flush, diff fluids, etc were followed! Carfax confirms this.

He even had the dealership install the tires! NEVER OFF-ROADED. He recently traded it in on a new Wrangler...

This Jeep runs and drives absolutely FANTASTIC!! Mechanically sound, tracks straight and true, no pulling, drifting or wandering in the steering. I drove it from Conn. to Kentucky- 800 miles with zero problems.

Overall the Jeep is in excellent condition with three cosmetic flaws:

He backed into and crushed a bicycle in his garage, putting a crease/ dent in the tailgate. the tailgate opens, closes and locks fine with no issues.
The left fog light lens is cracked- the light still works, though.
There is a small rust area on the surface of the right fender- it looks like a crack in the paint that started it; it's about the size of an oblong quarter.

Underneath you won't find the typical rust and rot on everything that turns all the metal orange. There is of course some surface rust coloring on the usual supects, but no frame rot and the running gear looks great.

Clear title in hand.

Inspections welcome. It really does look as nice in person as the pictures show and drives as nice too. Interior is clean with no rips or tears, seat in great shape- the pass. seat bottom has some slight staining that I couldn't get to show up in pictures and has to be pointed out in person.

Buy it Now- send a $100 non-refundable deposit via PayPal. Come and pick it up, drive it home or have it picked up for you from zip 40245; I'll drive it locally somewhere if needed for pick-up or assist in any way I can.
I am not a dealer, but a private seller. I bought this Jeep to be my daily driver and circumstances changed (Life happened) right after I committed to buying it- go figure.

-the fuzzy 'spot' on the left side of the dash near the radio is a piece of dust on the camera lens- it is not anything on the dash...

Chrysler recalls 88,888 Darts, Durangos, and Grand Cherokees for two separate issues

Fri, Nov 18 2016

Chrysler announced a pair of recalls for the Dodge Dart, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. They're unrelated, as the Dart recall concerns windshield washer pumps, and the Durango and Grand Cherokee recall is for fuel rails. But, as Automotive News discovered, the number of cars involved in both totals up to 88,888 cars, which is rather bizarre. Breaking down the coincidental number, we first have 34,633 2016 Dodge Durangos and Jeep Grand Cherokees recalled because fasteners on the intake manifold can come into contact with the fuel rail on some vehicles. This could lead to a fuel leak, and a subsequent fire hazard. Chrysler believes only 30 vehicles will have this defect, but it's inspecting any that could have had the issue. The other part of the 88,888 cars recalled in total consists of 54,255 2016 Dodge Darts. The windshield washer pumps on affected cars could short-circuit the wiper system, disabling the wipers. Chrysler will notify owners of all vehicles, and will replace any faulty parts at no cost to the owner. Owners can also contact Chrysler's customer care center at 1-800-853-1403. FCA will pay you to hack its systems

Wed, Jul 13 2016

FCA is willing to pay you to hack its cars, as long as you tell the company how you did it. In an effort to enhance cybersecurity and prevent future incidents like the Jeep Cherokee hack last year, FCA announced it's working with Bugcrowd to find vulnerabilities in its vehicle software. Bugcrowd labels itself as a crowdsourced application security testing company. Users, or independent security researchers as Bugcrowd calls them, can find exploits or vulnerabilities in FCA systems. They then submit the information to Bugcrowd, who in turn supplies the info to FCA. The goal is to update systems and close any possible security breaches. FCA is offering bounties from $150 to $1,500 to any Mr. Robot types, with payment based on the size and severity of the flaw. FCA wants hackers to focus specifically on the UConnect website and the company's iOS and Android apps. No bounties will be given for anything outside the scope of those three things. Bugcrowd says it will not take any legal action against anyone who submits an exploit. While we think it's good that the company is taking steps to address these problems, it's not a groundbreaking maneuver. Other companies employ similar systems. Earlier this year, both Tesla and Uber announced that they're willing to offer up to $10,000 to hackers who find vulnerabilities in their system. For years, Microsoft has been paying hackers to find exploits. It also seems that FCA took its time to announce this plan, considering the Jeep hack happened nearly a year ago. If the partnership works, we can expect other automakers to make similar deals. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Quick Spin

Thu, Sep 1 2016

Jeep won't come out and say it, but the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk exists to bloody the nose of the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. America's off-road brand hasn't built a wheeling-specific version of its Grand Cherokee flagship in years, and the last GC Trailhawk was mostly stickers and tires. It was time for a true trail-spec Grand Cherokee again. We took a quick spin (two of them, actually) in the latest Trailhawk model, which joins Renegades and Cherokees with the same badge and off-road bent for 2017. Our time was limited, and so were our initial findings. After driving on and off pavement at Fiat Chrysler's proving grounds in Chelsea, Michigan, we can tell you that on the road, this Grand Cherokee has the same refined driving dynamics as any other. As for off-roading, the capability is still somewhat of an open question. Driving Notes The suspension and off-road system tuning are what really set the Trailhawk apart from other Grand Cherokees. Jeep tweaked the four-corner Quadra-Lift air suspension to improve articulation and suspension travel, while retaining the 10.8 inches of ground clearance of lesser Quadra-Lift Grand Cherokees. Paired with the standard Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, rear electronic limited-slip diff, and 20-inch Goodyear Adventure off-road tires, the Trailhawk is not short on capability (at least on paper). Unfortunately, paper is almost where this stops. The Trailhawks we drove were pre-production models with unfinished software calibrations. The throttle on the 3.6-liter V6 Trailhawk we took on the off-road course was super touchy and hard to modulate, regardless of which Selec-Terrain off-road mode was selected. Without a reliable throttle, we were bounding over obstacles instead of negotiating them patiently. This was back in June, and Jeep's PR reps assured us at the time that the engineers knew about the oversensitive throttle and have since confirmed that the issue has been fixed for production models, which are rolling off the line in Detroit now. We're planning to get into one of those vehicles as soon as one becomes available for a full review. Like the standard model, the Trailhawk's air suspension offers more comfort than the double-wishbone front and four-link rear suspension on the 4Runner.
