Up for sale is my 2001 Jeep wrangler sport. This jeep is beautiful and has only 51300 extremely low miles. This jeep is black and has a lot of chrome trim all in excellent condition. There are a few scratches here and there but nothing major it is a jeep. The interior is gray and black and in good condition. The seats do not have any rips and are clean. The passenger seat shows a stain but I will have the truck detailed before delivery and it should come out. There is no rear seat but the track is there and its easy to install one. I installed a new pioneer CD player and it sounds great . It has the sound bar with the round speakers and tweeters. This jeep comes with a hard top which is more expensive . Soft tops are inexpensive and easy to put on. The engine runs very strong and is clean with no leaks. The suspension is new with a lift kit holding the monster 31/12.5/15 tires sitting on American racing wheels, The spare tire is a original full size and like new.  . The frame is like new and is black and rust free. I took several pics of the underside and frame to show how amazingly clean it is. Air condition is ice cold , clutch shifts easily and it also shifts into 4 wheel drive with no hesitation. Its hard to find a jeep of this era with low miles and this clean. The previous owner babied it and spent a lot of time keeping it clean and rust free.

I am trying to best describe this jeep so I want to mention things that I know it will need. the lock on the center console is missing but very inexpensive to replace. The tires have great tread but are very noisy since there are mud terrain . And I think the emergency brake needs to be redone.

In Summary Its still a Jeep wrangler with 51 k miles and the right color and has the hardtop and the perfect look and of course a 5 speed transmission. The chrome step rails and bumper chromes and chrome mirrors are all in excellent condition and was a nice upgrade. I don't think this jeep will make auctions end.

I will replace all 4 tires and fix the e brake if you click the buy it now. I am pricing this Jeep very fair and someone will get an amazing deal  Spring is here. Take it to the beach, go hunting or just cruise the streets in this beautiful wrangler.

Please do not bid on this truck if u don't have positive feedback the last bidder bid then retracted bids and the high bidder wasn't able to purchase the car do to personal reasons. Please call me at 954-464-3515 Steve

25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.

Jeep Comanche Moab Concept: Hell yeah!

Mon, Mar 28 2016

The moment I saw the Jeep Renegade I knew it was a winner, at least in terms of styling. The Renegade's "face" is exactly what small 21st-century Jeeps should look like. It has loads of Jeep's visual heritage DNA – important! – that has been brought up-to-date in the best possible way. (Now if only they could graft that face on to the new-ish Cherokee...). Where the Renegade falls short is what's under the skin. Thanks to misguided marketing, it is saddled with a rather unremarkable USA-spec 2.4L four, undersized tires, so-so ground clearance, an iffy 9-speed automatic, and a questionable (available) low range. I don't mind the independent suspension; in fact I embrace it, as IFS/IRS is the future in terms of off-road suspension design. So, for me, the Renegade is a close-but-no-cigar vehicle, at least as it currently stands. This new Comanche, however, shows how the Renegade can evolve; both as a 4-door SUV, and in terms of how spin-off models can be developed. Big beefy tires, flared out fenders, and great ground clearance are the main ingredients that make this work visually. Still wish for a 3.6L V6 under the hood, but the 2.0L diesel isn't a bad alternative. Anyway, I think a Comanche pickup makes more sense than the predicted Wrangler-based pickup. Why? I'm not big on retro-vehicles in general. Rarely do they survive long term. Besides, the Comanche would be far more civilized and livable. I could see this Comanche pickup as a daily driver much more so than a Wrangler-based pickup. Yeah, I like and value creature comforts over ultimate off-road ability. I think most pickup buyers would agree. Finally, while there is a large devoted Wrangler following who would love a Wrangler-based pickup, I bet this Renegade-based Comanche would bring more new customers into the Jeep tent – especially over a much wider age demographic. CEO Sergio Marchionne curses FCA spokesman for emissions cheating denial

Tue, May 15 2018

WASHINGTON — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne reprimanded the company's top U.S. spokesman for issuing press releases about Fiat's vehicle emissions practices days after Volkswagen's disclosure in September 2015 that the German automaker had used illegal software to evade emissions tests, documents released Monday show. Lawyers suing Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in a securities case filed excerpts of an email from Marchionne to Gualberto Ranieri, then the company's U.S. spokesman, in a filing in federal court in New York criticizing him for saying that the company does not use defeat devices. "Are you out of your goddam mind?" Marchionne wrote in an email on Sept. 22, 2015, adding that Ranieri should be fired and calling his actions "utterly stupid and unconscionable." The company said in a statement on Monday it was "understandable that our CEO would have a forceful response to any employee who would opine on such a significant and complex matter, without the matter having been fully reviewed through its appropriate channels." The statement added that Ranieri's comments came just days after VW's emissions issue became public "and before a comprehensive internal review and discussions with component suppliers was possible." Fiat Chrysler was sued in 2015 along with Marchionne and other executives over claims it defrauded shareholders by overstating its ability to comply with vehicle safety laws. An amended version of the complaint filed in 2017 added claims about its compliance with emissions laws. The shareholders accused the defendants of inflating Fiat Chrysler's share price by hundreds of millions of dollars from October 2014 to October 2015 by downplaying safety concerns. They said the shortcomings materialized in 2015 when the automaker was fined $175 million by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and took a roughly $670 million charge for recalls. Plaintiffs filed the excerpts seeking approval to take up to 40 additional depositions, including Marchionne's. The U.S. Justice Department sued Fiat Chrysler in May 2017, accusing it of illegally using software to bypass emission controls in 104,000 diesel vehicles sold since 2014. Fiat Chrysler has held numerous rounds of settlement talks with the Justice Department and California Air Resources Board to settle the civil suit, including talks as recently as earlier this month. It faces a separate criminal probe into the matter.
