-Engine was removed from a 2005 Chevy 1500 with only 30k miles. Added engine specifics include:

From Novak Conversions - engine and transmission mount kit, engine wiring harness, aluminum radiator with shroud, electric fans, and overflow container, ECM with latest calibration.

Sanderson shorty headers connected to 2.5" custom exhaust with catalytic converter and turbo muffler.

New Jeep fuel pump installed with Novak pressure regulator assembly.

Custom air intake with high performance K&N air filter.

New battery and alternator installed in August 2013.

-There are 2 ECMs installed "piggybacking" each other. The factory Jeep ECM to control body functions and the chevrolet ECM calibrated by Novak to control powertrain functions. All factory gauges work normally. Note that the tach can be a little erratic due to the conversion box.

-The transmission is a 4L60e from Novak Conversions with a high performance torque converter.

A universal Lokar automatic transmission shifter has been installed.

-The factory Jeep 231 transfer case is used utilizing an adapter from Novak.

The factory transfer case shifter is still utilized using a conversion cable also supplied by Novak.

-The Jeep has a 2" front end leveling kit installed.

-pro-comp extreme 15" wheels with 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler SRA tires (more than half treadlife left).

Watch this Jeep Willys return to its birthplace after 70 years

Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.
