1997 jeep wrangler TJ- 4 cyl 2.5 (5 speed)
-Brand new engine- 11,000 miles (JASPER engine installed by CarX, all receipts available. Engine itself was $2,400) (odometer reads 158,000) -New suspension- bilstein 5100 shocks and springs (receipts included) -Newer tires- 7,000 miles on them (cooper discover stt) -Newer soft top -Frame was coated with POR15 by previous owner. -Interior redone black and carpet black 9/10 rating. -New bestop seats -Exterior 8/10 rating -New JVC stereo (ipod compatible) and subwoofer pioneer with boss amp *-No back seat, turn signal doesn't click back, Rear main seal leak (common on Jeep TJ), no A/C, clutch weak (**these statements having been provided by local mechanic shop from a potential buyer, I have taken then into consideration and lowered price of vehicle: I can provide report) **-It is a 4 cyl with 33inch tires, so it maxes out at 70mph on the highway. Its great for around town and off roading (If you don't drive that much highway this is perfect on gas) (Im installing correct speedometer gear to show correct mph. It reads slower at the moment since installing 33inch tires.) Asking $9,750 This jeep looks awesome in summer and is a beast in the snow. You will not find an underbody that looks this rust-free. I'm not in a hurry to sell, I have put some work into it, but need a family vehicle. MORE PICS: http://chambana.craigslist.org/cto/4490671736.html VIDEO: http://youtu.be/sGKkrfqt3os |

Jeep Wrangler won't get those cutout half doors after all
Tue, Mar 20 2018Let's just make one thing clear right off the bat: If you want to go off-roading and you want an open-air experience, a Jeep Wrangler is probably the right vehicle for you. Really, the Wrangler has always been about enjoying the outdoors with as little between its occupants and the great outdoors as legally possible. That's why the top comes off, the doors stay home, and the windshield folds flat. All that said, however, one cool bit of show-car desirability reportedly won't make into production. Those crazy cutout doors that caught so much attention at the Wrangler JL's debut at the L.A. Auto Show won't be available from Jeep. For now we're reporting this as a rumor, but the report from Jalopnik seems legit. We have a request for comment in to Jeep and will report with confirmation when we hear back. Apparently — and despite the fact that the doors appeared on otherwise production-spec Wrangler models shown to the media and public show goers — Jeep says the cutout half doors were "always a prototype." In the end, traditional half doors were deemed the best option for production. We don't really disagree with the notion that traditional half doors are a better idea than the "prototype" cutout doors, especially considering how much effort went into making the JL Wrangler's doors easier to remove than past versions. Plus, the aftermarket is rife with accessory doors and panels to choose from if the regular or optional half doors aren't to your liking. Still, we're sure some Wrangler JL intenders were looking forward to those unique donut-style metal doors, and so we must pass the disappointment in their direction. Tour the Jeep Wagoneer Icon Reformer with its creator Jonathan Ward
Wed, May 23 2018Icon has released a plethora of amazing machines, and has more coming down the pike. One of the company's latest creations is a Jeep Wagoneer that was done as part of Icon's Reformer line, which Jonathan Ward, the head of Icon, explains is a thorough restoration and upgrade, but with a fresh restored finish. This is in contrast to the company's Derelict series that keeps the rough exterior while upgrading everything underneath. And the level of detail in the Reformer Wagoneer is amazing, as shown by this video from The Hoonigans in which Ward gives a tour of the SUV. Starting on the outside, the truck is pretty close to stock in appearance, though the color and faux wood trim were never offered on it. Badges are a mix of originals, and a few tweaked ones for use on this Jeep. For instance, the front fender badges now feature the engine displacement of the Chevy LS V8 under the hood. Also, the round Jeep badges front and rear now have the Icon lizard badge. Inside, custom upholstery was added featuring patio furniture fabric for durability and the nifty pattern. Anything that would have been plastic, such as some of the chrome trim and the gauge cluster fascia, or vinyl, such as the door panels, have been upgraded to genuine metal or leather components. Icon even re-created a casting for the steering wheel to replace the old one. As already mentioned, this Jeep Wagoneer has a Chevy LS V8 displacing 6.2 liters. It naturally connects to a four-wheel-drive system with a Dana 60-size rear axle and 44-size front axle. The chassis was built by Art Morrison, a company known for its custom vintage car chassis. The suspension consists of coilover shocks and springs from Fox Racing and Eibach respectively. This is all just a brief overview. Check out the whole video above for all the neat details. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk revived and leaked
Fri, Mar 18 2016We'd love to tell you all about the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk you see here. Thing is, we don't really know all that much. That's because, according to our colleagues at Jalopnik, it hasn't quite been officially unveiled yet. But that's probably right around the corner, now that the cat is out of the bag. From the leaked images, we can tell that this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is a lot like the Trailhawk that was produced as a special edition for the 2013 model year. Even the graphics look similar. Expect to see some aggressive tires to go along with all the best off-road goodies Jeep has to offer. Throw in some red tow hooks to match the contrasting interior stitching, mix together some underbody protection, and you've probably got yourself a Trailhawk. We'll have to wait until FCA decides to unleash the official goods to know for sure what we're looking at, but we doubt there's a supercharged V8 underhood. We do know that's coming, hopefully soon, but this isn't it. So, while we patiently wait for that Hellcat-powered Trackhawk to make an appearance outside the realm of spy shots, enjoy the Trailhawk you see here.
